Lamen welcomed the cold and snow, thanking it for removing some of the less pleasant aspects of this field. Being a northerner, used to walking around t-shirt and shorts in cold weather, it affected her a little less- Prince, however, was shuddering more than she was.
"This does not bode well... Prince, I know this didn't work last time, but try another swagger!"
Prince would have preferred anything but that, and yet he had to listen. Once again, he performed the move on the ground in the hopes of confusing his opponent, almost slipping on the ice several times.

Albireo stared at his teammate and tilted his head. "Seeeee?" His eyes dilated and things were reduced to a blur. And lots of floating dots. Floating dots...Albireo started to chase after a snowflake and ended up licking his own nose with a dumb look on his face.
Even Luna could tell Albireo was confused...or acting dumber than usual. But she decided to persevere and attack. What else could she do? It was a one on one battle, it would be unfair to switch pokemon to cure the confusion. "Okay Albireo, ice beam once more!"
Albireo looked around left and right, searching for a brown blob that looked like his teammate. Spotting a twitching brown blur, he decided to himself that that was his teammate and shot off a large icebeam in its general direction.

Lamen grinned uneasily as she witnessed the effects of the finally successful confusion attack. "Oh... that seems unpleasant." she said, and then her eyes widened as Albireo shot another ice beam at Prince. She quickly responded by yelling another command: "Evade it and follow up with another Steel Wing!"
The shot completely missed Prince as he flew upwards and dove again, his feathers sharp and metallic once again.

Luna smiled. Lady luck was looking her way for once. She rubbed together her hands to generate some warmth into them before ordering her next attack. "Blizzard Albireo!"
The blizzard around Albireo picked up again in speed and power. The shards of ice became sharper, making the bubble around Albireo a dangerous place for anyone. Even Albireo himself.
The dewgong whined as he felt something sharp slit him on his side. Blood trickled down his fur but the wound was, for the most part, protected by his thick layers of fat.

((Okay, so you attacked yourself- therefore Prince received no damage, right? surprised ))
The new trainer watched sympathetically as Albireo's attack turned against him. "Ouch, that hurts. Oh well- we have a chance now..." She thought status effects were the way to win. "Prince, Swagger again!"
Now a little more confident about the usefulness of this move (and hiding a mental snicker at his teammate), the pidgeot began his awkward performance before the Dewgong's blizzard, careful not to let himself get too close.

The pain of the last attack snapped Albireo out of confusion."Deeews?" He asked, tilting his head as he found himself trapped in a blizzard but protected by his thick fat. The blizzard also prevented him from having a clear view of Prince so thus allowing him to ignore the swagger attack.
Luna smirked. Her plan to block Prince's visual attack had worked. Kinda. "Albireo! Aurora beam!"
Albireo barked back at her trainer to tell her he was still alive and heard her. He then looked around the snow again to spot a brown blob. Once he found one, he took aim and fired.

"GEOOT!" Prince's screech of pain resounded across the field, as he was once again hit full face of the ground by the blast of an aurora beam.
"Sorry! Sorry! Ohh- fine then, we're offensive now. Hit him with another Steel Wing!" Came Lamen's orders, a little uncertainly. She wanted to confuse the opponent, but... she didn't want to lose Luna's pokemon's trust.
He managed to recover, but was getting tired. It had been a bad idea after all. Finally he hardened his wings again, and sped into the blizzard to attack Albireo, who was at its center.

Luna smirked. This wasn't going to get her opponent anywhere, she already countered most of Prince's moves with ease. It was he rpokemon afterall. "Let's keep to our defense plan Albireo! Blizzard!"
The flakes of snow in the blizzard sharpened again and increased their speed, making it more like a very crazy powered up hail storm. Albireo just stood in the center, looking left and right at his own attack and being fascinated. Another cut pierced his side. "Deeeeeeeeeeeew!" He cried out, partially in irritation and partially in pain. Frozen blood felt so uncomfortable! And his trainer sucked at being gentle with cleaning wounds.
"Albireo?" Luna called out into the blizzard.

Just as Prince thought he had laid in a defense hit, the sharp ice hit Prince from all directions, causing him pain from all sides. Blood flew out from his tiny wounds making him plummet to the ground once more, near Albireo. He felt weak, and only got back up with difficulty.
Lamen was very worried now- the shape of Prince was barely visible through the blizzard. The only way to win now would be to prevent any more attacks. "I- I have no choice. Swagger again, Prince!" She yelled, hoping he would hear her.
It didn't need to be said- Prince knew what she wanted. He was on the ground anyways. But he didn't want to lose. 'If this doesn't work, that's the last time I listen to her...' he thought, still in pain, and without much difficulty swaggered again- after all, he wouldn't be able to move properly now without trying.

Albireo, still being visually blinded by the blizzard, ignored his teammates attack again and instead, stuck his nose into the snow to lick it. It tasted much better than the trash bag!
"Aurora beam!"
Albireo's head immediately darted out of the snow and gave a cheerful bark. He looked around for the brown dot again...it was just like hide and seek! Oh! There it was! Albireo opened his mouth and shot a rainbow blast at the large pidgeot.

The blast missed narrowly, as Prince stumbled out of the way. His eyes narrowed as the person who dared call themselves a trainer, Lamen, commanded another Swagger. That was it. Ignoring her, he flew up high, and dove again for another Iron STEEL Wing. He was tired of posing around and getting hurt every time!
Lamen stared as the pokemon completely disobeyed her- this battle was out of her hands, now.

Luna noticed Prince's disobedience. This wasn't good. "You have to learn how to demand respect from your pokemon!" Luna shouted to the other trainer, "It's an essential part of being a pokemon tra-" The trainer then went half unconscious due to the horrible smell of the stadium.
Forutnately for Albireo, he was experienced enough to know that if there was a flying turkey - especially his teammate - coming at him with shiny wings, he should duck for cover. Albireo did exactly that, camoflauging perfectly with the snow and causing Prince to miss him because the bird couldn't FIND him when he swooped down.
Albireo then popped out of the snow after Prince was headed back up. "5v|2p|21z3 !!111!!!" He shouted, shooting an aurora beam at Prince's back.

'If you want to surprise me, don't scream it when you're attacking!' Prince yelled back at Albireo, dodging his beam.
Lamen thought she heard Luna trying to tell her something, but her voice suddenly became unclear midsentence. "Whaaat?" She said back across the field, not having gotten the message, while Prince continued swooping and diving to attack his teammate.
The pidgeot's wings had not come out of their attack state, and he continued using Steel Wing.
((SEE I DIDN'T FORGET IT THIS TAYME. scream ))
