Zaden curiously studied the Ashe that was holding out a sweater to him. It was rather cold now that he was all wet, and he could almost hear Xare's "i told you so", even though she would never say it. Inwardly, Zade sighed. He didn't know what was worse - when she got angry, or when she didn't seem to care. He knew that she did care, but it was still confusing at times.

"Thank you," he said to the other, "I wasn't expecting to actually fall into the water... By the way, I'm Zade. What's your name?" As he spoke, he took the sweater and pulled it on quickly, muffling his words slightly.

Meanwhile, Xare had been watching the others interact with a sense of detachment. She knew, of course, about what they were talking about. And she was also interested to see that her glamor was holding up - even against the majority of the Ashe. She decided to stay quiet as the others began to discuss the glamor, and concealed a cold smile as she heard the girl, Cindy's muttered comment to Mir.

Ah yeah that one”
Shyer said, not at all liking this kid’s tone but putting it down to something trivial, like not having a juice box. Kids love juice boxes. Her expression, however, did not like this assumption of course and painted her discomfort on her face with a momentary frown, though his guardian’s sudden interruption in his thoughts seems to put him down somewhat so she was no longer sure what to make of either of them and left it up to Aelia to discover both their characters. Her displeasure did not make her forget the fact, however, that none of these people had met Marzipan. A shocking revelation. If that was the case it was possible that she was even more clued in then these people. If that were the case, they’d all be very sadly mistaken. Damn it, well this was Marzipan’s meeting so where was she? What was she even allowed to say out here in the open?

Unfortunately Aelia was decidedly of the same opinion and when addressed so forthrightly she waved behind her at the mass which even now passed between completely invisible and visible. Glamour were not supposed to do that and she chided him for not being able to tell the difference and she found it very prudent of him to think she had wanted him to show off. As if she cared what he could and couldn’t do and as if she wanted to see it. Giving him only a scolding glare she addressed the by far nicer child, who only grew better in her opinion by comparison.

“Oh well…I guess we could learn together some other day.”
She surmised, no longer wishing to get into the subject which so often alluded her anyways. Maybe she could practise what Rioge had shown her at home later.

Noticing now that she had made contact with four out of five Ashe she went out of her way to motion towards the other child he seemed left out. This child also had pale hair but dark clothing and vibrant red eyes set him apart from everyone else. She’d never met a dark fae before and thinking so it came to her that at the moment she was most likely to be surrounded by Unseelie fae. She’d never met the other courts before but she supposed that some of those around her might hold it against her for being of the other team’s side. Best not to mention it at the moment then.

Watching Cindy pair up with the other girl had made Shyer a bit more cautious of what was going on here. It didn’t feel hostile but after being riled up by that kid, who if she’d heard right had actually scolded her own Aelia - the nerve of some, it felt like as good a time as any to wave at Xare.
‘Erm…got the memo I see.”
She asked, giving a look towards the occupied Aelia and sliding off the edge of the fountain to stand next to Xare. Now only the girl with the golden haired boy, Toulouse as it? Were alone, an non-to-enviable position. It must feel kind of lonely Shyer admitted to see some people already knew each other and she was there only with the bratty child who apparently idoised himself to be the centre of this meeting.

"I'm Julien," came the prompt response, slender hands tucked in his pocket. Now that he was half-naked, it was easy to see that he was a skinny boy with tiny little noodle arms. His smile never wavered, but as he watched the others, a hint of wariness came into his silvery eyes. "Anyone could've slipped up there," he added. "It wouldn't be right to let you stay shivering." His eyes flicked over the other Ashe in turn, considering each.

"You know," he added after a moment, his eyes now on Toulouse, "I don't think she meant to ask you to put on a show, Toulouse. Some of us happen to be new here, and if we've been called on to meet each other, it's likely so we can learn from each other." There was no hesitation in his voice, and no hint of uncertainty, and despite the fact that he'd just basically chided one of the others, his smile was gentle. "If you're worried about talking here, why don't we take it somewhere more private?"

Mireille looked over at Cindy, offering a hesitant smile of her own. Inwardly, she definitely agreed with the younger woman, but she had to be optimistic... "We only just got here," she said gently. "I'm sure that once things calm a bit, we'll get more explanation." I hope, came the inward thought, as she turned and blinked at Julien, eyes flicking between him and the wet boy beside him wearing his sweater.

Felicity burst out laughing from the look on Toulouse’s face after what Julien had said to him. It served Toulouse right. Maybe it would show him not to be so mean to the other children.

What is so funny?” Toulouse demanded.

I was just thinking that it served you right.” Replied the redhead stormily. “Maybe now you won’t be so quick to scold other people Toulouse.” Felicity met his glare coolly. “You can’t always be the center of attention.” She added a bit gently trying to hold her temper back.

I don’t want to be the center of attention. What ever gave you that idea?” Came Toulouse’s vehement reply. He looked away from Felicity, eyes falling on the white haired boy who had just picked something up off the ground. Toulouse watched the kid, Aesop? -Felicity was horrible with names- look at the thing in his hand intently then place it in his pocket. She wondered what her golden child was thinking of at that moment.

It seemed that Felicity was the odd woman out. Everyone in the group seemed to know at least one other person. She looked to Shyer and Xare. Shyer looked sweet but Felicity decided that Xare made her a bit nervous. There was something about her that made Felicity very wary and unsure and she didn’t know what. Putting it off as nervousness of new people, Felicity’s gaze fell on the two other, slightly less scary, girls in the party. Cindy and Mir was it? The former had just whispered something into the latter’s ear.

Leaving Toulouse to sulk by himself near the fountain, Felicity made her way over to Cindy and Mir. Just because Toulouse was being rude and anti-social didn’t mean she had to be. Felicity was not going to alienate the only people who had Ashe children other than herself.

Felicity walked up cautiously to the two girls trying to smile. “Hi. I‘m Felicity.” She said again for politenesses sake. “How long do you think we should wait here from this Marzipan person? I have a lot of questions that I want to ask her. I hope I'm not the only one.”

Cindy sighed At Mir's optimism. It might've just been her, but she hated when secrets were being kept without a good reason. At least, she was pretty sure there wasn't a good reason to keep them in the dark. Perhaps they were just trying to have some fun with the newbies? Was that it? Well this surely wasn't the internet and this was indeed serious business! (lol)

As the girl approached the two of them, Cindy seemed to realize all at once how much like high school this seemed to be. They were forming clicks. She glanced over at the other two standing over there, then back at the girl who was introducing herself.

"You're definitely not the only one with questions." Cindy assured her with a nod. "I'm probably not the only one thinking this but, I sure do hope she gets here soon." She didn't like the two different parties that had now formed. And she sure as hell wished that whatever unspoken disagreement could be solved so they could get to the bottom of all this.

Aesop paused with his exploring. He could feel a pair of eyes upon him. Standing up straight, his eyes met with the only female Ashe here. "An owl can watch all it wants, but until it asks 'who', the questions it has won't be answered." He gave a soft smile to her, having yet to notice that Toulouse was also eying him. Honestly, the words that flowed out of his mouth seemed all too natural. While he didn't speak often, what he did say was usually either a question or an answer.

Looking over at Shyer, Xare frowned a bit in confusion. "The memo? Oh, you mean this parchment. Well yes, of course." She paused, noting the awkward body language of Shyer and the others. This was very similar to the way people at court played politics, though it was much, much more rudimentary. The thought amused her a bit, though she let none of it show on her face. "I hope Marzipan appears soon. The tension here is quite intense."

Zade noted the wariness in the other, and was a little confused by it. They were all the same kind, why would anyone be wary? He watched quietly as Julian walked off to talk to Toulouse, and grinned a little to himself as he overheard him chide the other Ashe. Well, at least someone today was getting in trouble, and for once, it wasn't him.

Speaking of trouble... He looked around, noting all the groups that were forming. Spotting a likely candidate, he began to walk quietly up behind Toulouse, trying to be inconspicuous as he did so.

Shyer nodded in consent, yeah the parchment of course. She glanced nervously towards the Ashe seemingly 'playing' over at the fountain, although one of them was now bing given a bit of a rough time for something Shyer hadn't caught. Aelia at least seemed a little startled by him and it was odd to see her face contorted in a somewhat pained expression.
"I'm not liking that kid much..." Shyer muttered to herself more than Xare, casting a firm gaze on Toulouse.
"Yeah, seems a bit..." Shyer added, realising Xare had wanted a reply, though she'd failed to fully complete a sentence. The mood was hardly cheery, hopefully Marzipan would come soon.

Aelia stifled a giggle at Toulouse's reprimanding from Julien, her attitude now became firmly fixed in favour to her little fair-flossed avenger.
"Thank you.." Aelia whispered back at him, it wouldn't do to be heard thanking someone for addressing someone with such calm irritation, at the same time though it seemed more like a strong sense of justice and Aelia decided that this was an attribute quite worthy of praise.
"No, we can talk here." She added in reply, making a nod towards Aesop again to show that she was concerned walking off would leave the poor Ashe alone. Was he shy?

As if in answer to this Aesop lifted his head, quoting something poetic before returning back to whatever captivated his interest.
"Well...Do you want to say hi?" She asked, hoping to surprise him with an actual call out to enquire about him. Aesop he'd said his name was.

"I'm Mireille," came the answer to Felicity's introduction. "I hope she gets here soon. Cindy and I are going into this blind, really, and I wouldn't mind some advice that could leave me less... stumbling in the dark." One hand lifted to brush through her short hair as Mireille shifted, looking over at Cindy. "You okay, Cindy?" she asked, a little worried at the unhappy look in the girl's eyes.

At the murmured words of gratitude, Julien turned, offering Aelia an open, gentle smile. "Just trying to help," he assured her, then looked over at Aesop, grinning at the other boy. He didn't actually speak to Aesop just yet, waiting for Aesop to talk to the others first. Julien was a patient boy, and besides... it was fun just watching the others and seeing how they reacted to each other.

Bah! They were children, all of them Toulouse thought. Only, that fair haired boy, Julien, seemed promising somehow. If only…Toulouse settled deeper into his sulk, staring fixedly at the ground. Why bother?

I’m not so worried about that as much, only more so about when someone will take him off my hands. Toulouse doesn’t seem much like the others and I don’t think he likes me at all.” Felicity laughed nervously as she revealed her feelings about her Ashe. She wondered what the others won’t think and hoped they didn’t take her remarks too badly. It was just so hard living with the kid. She knew so little about him and he just seemed totally oblivious to her presence when they were alone, calling her “girl” and “peasant" if he did happen to notice her. “Maybe Marzipan will be able to explain all of our much needed answered questions. Hopefully.”

Felicity did notice the look on Cindy’s face after Mireille had said something, and hoped she hadn’t offended her somehow. She would’ve asked, but she was shy, not knowing Cindy well enough. Or Mireille for that matter.

Cindy, at the tone of concern in Mir's voice, perked up and looked at her. "Yeah, I'm fine." She said with a smile and a nod to both of them. Though, Felicity's words seemed to strike her as somewhat... Harsh. "Just because he's different doesn't mean that you should send him off... He's obviously with you for a reason." Her tone was more rough than she had meant it to be. Her eyes softened as she realized that. "I-I'm really sorry about that..." She hoped they'd all been gifted with these children for a reason... And that it wasn't just at random. She smiled to Felicity. "But..." She glanced at the blonde haired boy. "There are good things about everyone. I'm sure you could find something you liked about him if you tried."

"Hello." It didn't take him much time to reply to her suggestion. His red eyes seemed to admire her interesting choice of clothes. He then looked over at Julien, whom he had already met. "A pleasure to see you again, Julien." He said and gave a small wave. He supposed that his exploration of this new area could wait.

Xare nodded her agreement at Shyer's words. There was not much else to add to that, and she hoped fervently that Marzipan would appear so that she could get out of this cluster of humans as soon as possible. True, they were all guardians like herself, but they seemed to know so little.

Glancing around, she located Zaden, where he was trying to sneak up on one of the other Ashe. Though her eyes narrowed a bit, she decided to let him have his mischief. He, at least, was enjoying himself.

Zaden got into position behind Toulouse, his right fist closed tightly around something as he slowly raised his arm towards the collar of his target's shirt. He couldn't quite keep the grin off his face as, in one smooth movement, he slipped the tips of his fingers inside the collar and released what he held in his hand.

Stepping back, he waited.

((ooc: Lime passed to me.))

Mireille fell silent, looking between the two women with faint discomfort. Clearly, they both felt very strongly about things. And so did she, but right at the moment, her shy nature was getting the better of her, at least a little. Rather than say something that might enflame the situation, she half-shrugged, her eyes moving to where Julien was, tracking the boy she protected.

Julien turned, grinning when he saw his friend Aesop. "I like your clothes," was the first thing he said to the other boy, a twinkle in his eyes. They'd both found better clothing than the last time, at least. Turning back to Aelia, he added, "This is my friend Aesop. He's nice," he added, as though that said everything about the boy.
