Still it nagged him, Feathersong's paws itched for her. No how far away he tried to push away the thoughts of her they bounced back. Who was he kidding? He didn't love that annoying she-cat. He loved Silverriver. No matter how much pain she would cause him. No matter how many times she'd reject he couldn't let her go without telling her first... He loved her and only her... He rushed out of the warriors' den in time to see Silverriver pad off with another tom. He would win back her love. Running he ran after them. Somehow, his paws weren't going fast enough they seemed to be getting farther and farther away from him. Silverriver!" He yowled in an anguished voice and still, he ran. His old injuries were getting to him the wound on his head... It reopened as he ran. Blood ran into his eyes but still he ran. The scent of blood, the redness in his eyes... He kept at it even though in truth blood was all over his head he just couldn't keep up with them with his constant stumbling...

She didn't hear him.
She just kept leading the tom behind her further and further near the border. And she still didn't notice the insanity that glittered deep within his eyes. Her smile continued until finally she was near the river, and then her smile faded as he got so close to her, she felt his breath against her back. Fur prickling uneasily, she took a whiff of the air, and suddenly caught the scent of blood.
"Feathersong!" She shouted without thinking, before the tom chuckled evilly and pounced her. Silverriver wasn't expecting this, and screeched. He was trying o get on top of her, and...
Hissing and clawing at him Silverriver scrambled away. Her eyes wide with fear and surprise. She spat at him and ran before he could get a chance to go after her. Though he was suddenly at her feet, snapping and hissing.
"Feathersong!" She screeched.

He heard her. Oh yes, he heard.
Feathersong ran on dtermination flowing about. As fast as he could he ran towards the screech. When he got there he saw Silverriver and the tom. One eye wasn't completely filled with blood so, he dashed foward and clawed at the tom mercelessly. His claws ripped the other tom's belly like it was nothing but grass. It wasn't long before Feathersong could no longer see. The blood from his old wound and the blood from the otehr tom and himself splattered all across the grass. Blinded Feathersong clawed the other tom's fur. He was no longer aware that the tom had died from his blows not to long ago. The blood that he had lost started to make him delusional as he continued clawing until the last of his energy faded away...

Screeches emanated from her throat, yowls of anguish as her true lover tore the other apart. She screamed, pleaded for him to stop, he couldn't kill him... He would be exiled.
"No! Stop! Please!" Silverriver's blue eyes stared at the two, claws unsheathed, clawing the ground furiously. What had she done? With all her desire to regain his love and trick him, she had risked his life, and this tom's...
And she knew. Deep down, she knew. He still loved her, but she had fallen under an illusion of denial. He loved her... And she still loved him.

Feathersong stumbled foreward from the mess of fr and claws. Blood from previous injuries and current flowed down his face covering part of his eyes. Slowly he stumbled in the direction of Silverriver. With the last of his strengh he murmured, "I never intended to hurt you..."

She had not paid him any mind, only helping him to stop the blood from flowing. Her thoughts were set directly on the wound, and no sound was reaching her whatsoever... He wasn't going to die like her father did. No he wasn't... She was going to make sure of it. But, with some recollection of her deaf ears, she heard that voice. "Why?" Silverriver had turned to stare at Feathersong, eyes filled with shock. That she-cat had been with him all this time, and look what had happened. Wait... Was Feathersong saying he wasn't hitting on her or... any of that?
