Miraku_darkness15 lefeverbaby Ayumu_Chikazu Tubas are pretty much the pulse of the band. There was this one time that none of my section's tubas were at school (band day at a nearby college) and everything just sounded awful... Also, two out of the three tuba players at my school are girls. It's awesome. ^_^ man,our schoool has a TOTAL of 9 tubas and I'm the only girl. Then the guys in my class always pick on me and say I was the one who messed up... then they get mad when i kick their butts on chair placemetn... they are just jealous yeah they must be, im sorry for that, same with me well including me there are 2 tuba players so the other one is a boy so he always picks on me..... In my school, most people just don't appreciate us tubas, and we are trying to find a girl in our school that will play it for at least marching band, but so far, no takers. sad

tuber for a single year but as proud as a general. i was one of three andthe other 2 were seniors so im the last original.2-3 more next year but not the same.

First and favorite instrument of five years now. I'm the best in my school and among the best in the county (and only a sophmore, yay). We've got 3 dude tubas at my school this year,m but next year we're getting a girl tuba from my old middle school.
Seriously though, the tuba, sousaphone, and contra rule.

Our school has 5 tuba players this year, 3 of which are girls (including me)
Does this make us an anomaly? Last year, three out of six were girls.
