welcome tuba players!! i play the tuba for 4 years and i luv it. how long have u been playing and do u like it? 2 me tuba is the best because it is a low brass instrument and i love the sound of it. go tubas!!! 3nodding

i love the tuba also. ive been playing it for about 5 yrs now. tuba is the best. without tubas, everything would crumble to the ground and nothing would sound right. we keep tempo. besides, WE HAVE EVERY PART IN OUR MUSIC ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!!

paladin aneres i love the tuba also. ive been playing it for about 5 yrs now. tuba is the best. without tubas, everything would crumble to the ground and nothing would sound right. we keep tempo. besides, WE HAVE EVERY PART IN OUR MUSIC ALL THE TIME!!!!!!!!!! i know!! that is the best part.... im glad that u posted because i thought that no one would post about tubas. go tubas!!!!!!!! biggrin

Tuba 6 years and counting, baby. First, and only instrument.
I love it and wouldn't trade for the world. Okay, the Oompa Loompa songs get kinda boring, but there are also some pretty rocking parts.

tuba's my third instrument, i love it, though i still love my trombone the most, my dad's a tuba player too, got me started on low brass

Tubas are pretty much the pulse of the band. There was this one time that none of my section's tubas were at school (band day at a nearby college) and everything just sounded awful... Also, two out of the three tuba players at my school are girls. It's awesome. ^_^

Ayumu_Chikazu Tubas are pretty much the pulse of the band. There was this one time that none of my section's tubas were at school (band day at a nearby college) and everything just sounded awful... Also, two out of the three tuba players at my school are girls. It's awesome. ^_^ man,our schoool has a TOTAL of 9 tubas and I'm the only girl. Then the guys in my class always pick on me and say I was the one who messed up... then they get mad when i kick their butts on chair placemetn... they are just jealous

Tuba player here, and I'm surprised to realize I've been playing more than a year. =D I switched last year from flute (five years), because I thought it was something no one would expect of me.
They didn't.
I love it though. I have immense pride in my section, and am one of two girls (there are eight tubas total in marching band and five of us in CB1).
TUBA PRIDE!
