November 25, 2021WELCOME NEW STUDENTS
Introduction to New Students...
[IRP] w/ Norman Prinwaltz ( pg. 15 | pg.16) Dear papa,
I'm here. Finally here but what is here? What do I do now? Taking that first step onto the boat... well being carried was the first leg of my journey. Floating along the ocean was like a dream. It had been so long since being out to sea. I remember when you used to take me on trips with you in town, you'd go out fishing with the locals and I'd go with you. When the boat docked it felt like one book in my life had come to an end while a new one was slowly being written. Stepping onto Shinkami soil was a breath of fresh air. Looking at all the sights, smelling the scents even as boys young and old moved around me. It was like Christmas...
I never had a true Christmas but I imagine it was how I felt today. As I moved along a gentleman slipped up next to me. He was dressed very regal; at least to me anyway. A very nice crisp suit and glasses, half of one though.. monicales I think their called? It appears he's the Headmaster Norman Prinwaltz. Wow... THE headmaster had talked to me. He was a very nice man, even gave me a tour. I couldn't help but feel a little overwhelmed but managed to keep a decent face. There seems to be a lot to do around here, not just all the studying but I plan to work hard and asert myself... I'll be somebody and show mama that she was wrong. I'll even find out where you live and be sure to send all my letters when I get the chance. You'll be proud papa, just watch.

June 08, 2022A DAY OF NIGHTMARE
Metaplot Event
[META] w/ students and faculty (x) Dear papa,
I hope you are doing okay. I'm doing just fine, it has been a long night for me this night but otherwise I am doing well. This letter is written to you on the day after a very unexpected incident had occured.
That night, I was resting in my bed when a sudden explosion went off. It took a while for me to registure what was going on but quickly I rushed from my room and headed down the halls and to the nearest exit. It was ergent that I find others and figure out what the commotion was about. The science building had caught on fire. It's still a mystery on what happened but I'm pretty sure the instructors have an idea, some of the other students seemed to be keen on things too. Being fairly new to the campus made it hard for me to understand what was going on. Everything happened so fast that I barely had time to register before realizing a woman from the group that had been standing outside the building had pushed here way past the rest of us and entered alone. We couldn't follow because the building's doors were jammed shortly after she entered. Not certain of the woman's name but I did hear her calling out for 'Lina'.
It didn't look like there would be any way inside and we resorted to sitting around and waiting helplessly. I observed the others silently noting a lot of them upset for the woman's bravery to help her friend who was trapped inside. Apparently the woman's name was Alex. After catching wind of it a few times from many lips.
It was then another fire seemed to brake out threatening other areas of the school if we did nothing. One of the instructors took action using a lighter he aquired from one of the other students to start a back burn. Do remember those papa? In the fields during dry season, the villagers would get together and start small fires to burn away the dried and useless crops to prevent harsher fires during the season. I missed those days, the adults would start fires at night and watch the embers sparkle in the night while I played with the other kids nearby. Sorry getting ahead of myself -- The back burn was a success. I helped stomp out areas of the fire that got out of hand. It wasn't much but it was the least I could do for the time being.
Around this time one of the other instructors had displayed a disliking of being stuck with nothing to do but watch their friends burn alive. I had to admit he was quite intimidating... I couldn't tell but he looked like... an elf? Either way he looked more menacing then anything. Eventually, one of the students displayed an interesting ability. Immunity to fire... he was... wow! Papa you should have seen it. I never new people like this existed! He broke through the doors with ease. It was amazing!
By then we were instructed to go inside and help out. I couldn't understand why they would allow this but there wasn't time to argue the point. A few students had already entered the building long before the 'go ahead' so the rest of us piled in. Not many knew where to go, myself included. I just followed two other boys; barely able to see or breath for that matter they were the closest and I didn't trust myself alone. Papa I don't think I'm able to do this... I dont even know what these people expect from me.
*tear drops splatter on the paper*
My fears are going to get the better of me if I don't get over them soon but I have to admit that despite my anxieties I did good, papa. Following the two boys we managed to help out... well I didn't do too much. I never do anything... worthless. Mama told me I'd always be worthless. It doesn't matter, I did what I could to help. Maybe not much but every little bit counts right?
In the end everyone's efforts paid off and the fire was contained. I'm fine, papa so there's no need to worry. I got medical attention afterwards and I'm all rested up. See.. I even found time to write you a letter so you wouldn't worry. Once I find your address, it will be sent off with the rest of my letters... so hopefully when you get them we'll already have talked a few times. Anyway, I have to get going. Love you, papa, take care of yourself out there. Don't forget you promised to return when I fix the watch... don't forget...

June 18, 2022STUDY OF THE HUMAN BODY
School of Basic Learning
[CRP] w/ Alexander "Sasha" Ivanova (x) Dear papa,
Today I got to meet one of the students here at Shinkami. His name is Alexander Ivanova but he calls himself 'Sasha'. I think it suits him. Come to find out he is native to Russia a far away country that I've only read about in books. It would be so great to go visit and see where he came from, what their customs are like, the people, food... definitely the food! There's been so much that I've wanted to do at school lately that I can't get enough of it done in one day. It would be so great if you would come to visit and take me on vacation with you. Are you in Russia now, papa? Where ever you are stay safe and don't forget your promise.
At any rate, Sasha was having trouble today in class. His English isn't up to standards for him to understand some of the class work. I tried to help him as best I could but that wasn't enough either. Maybe I'll just take special interest in a language class and hope to learn his language there, it might help out in the long run if I can help him translate some of the harder English words for him. Papa, you should see him though! He's a really pretty boy, his hair is such a lovely shade of purple. You know how much I love purple! He's really nice even though he seems to lack any plans for his future... maybe he just needs a little push in the right direction. Not sure what I can do but if something comes up, I'll give it a try.
It's getting late here. I should head off to bed in a bit. I'm writing this letter in hopes you receive it. Although I won't put any postage on it until I find out what your current mailing address is. Hope to hear from you some day. I love you.

What can I possibly say about my accidental meeting with Master Shinji. He's so... there's not a word I can think to describe but the whole time that I was with him, I couldn't help feel sad. He seemed... lonely. It mostly started with my finding a strange old black book. No matter how I went to the book didn't seem to come into translation well with locals. The girls at the mall weren't sure and even a few looked fearful of the book. In my search I found Master Shinji to inquire about the book.
He seemed quite alarmed at first for me having it. Probably surprised anyone would have such a book at the bookstore on display. Hopefully my having the book won't cause any problems, but for what I've gathered by the Master, he seemed concerned that the book's secrets will be unlocked and used for evil. To say that I haven't had my fair thoughts about these ideas, would be lying but I'm not so heartless to assume such responsibilities as abusing such a treasure.
Master Shinji had good reason to be alarmed I imagine. It appears he too used something similar, something of a dark quality of magic. It must have been hard, to be forced in such a position. I don't know the details and at this point I'm not entirely sure I want to. For now the book is tucked safely away, locked in truck in my room. It won't be opened until I fix this watch at the very least. Maybe by this point I'll have learned all that is needed and can use the book to further my studies of magic.
What were you chasing after, father? What kept you so distant? Please return safely....

July 21, 2022LANGUAGE STUDIES
School of Basic Learning
[CRP] w/ Micajah Ackart (x) Papa,
Today was my language studies class. I wrote earlier about taking a class so I could help Sasha with his English a bit. Hopefully if I keep myself in the books it will pay off and Sasha will be able to understand some of his homework better.
Oh yeah, in class I met another student. Micajah was his name. Honestly he's very strange but at the same time I was completely taken by his intelligence. He seems to know a lot of different languages too. Maybe he can help me learn Russian faster... Well it will take a while to learn either way but I'm sure it will be much more fun with someone to help me.
In class I showed him that numerology stuff that you liked. I don't think it was very accurate for him though. He seemed a bit upset but that's okay you did say it doesn't always work; that it's just for fun. I just hope the next person that tries it gets better results then Mica got. It was really fun talking to him; he was nice to me too. He even gave me a paper with his dorm number and such, I'll probably go to seem him in the near future. But I don't want to just invite myself, maybe I could bring him something, like a present to thank him for being so nice to me. Ah crap I don't know!
It's just refreshing to make friends. You know how it is, right papa? Anyway, it's getting late again. I really should stop writing these letters so late at night. And you need to write me some time too damnit! Why haven't you even tried contacting me all these years...Don't you even love me anymore!
Sorry, sorry... I know. It was just my thoughts running away from me. I'll just have to be a bit more patient, I'm sure you're doing your best so I'll do my best too.

July 21, 2022ANGEL-DEVIL AND THE BEAST

[PRP] w/ Scythe Akazar (x) Papa,
I'm writing you again but like so many times before it probably doesn't matter. Today I met an interesting person, his name is Scyeth Akazar. He's a S&T Student here at Shinkami. Straight forward, honest and he knows what he wants out of life. Watching him inspires me a great deal to push forward with my goals. Somehow the idea of him beating me at reaching his has offered me to realize a silent challenge. I don't want him to beat me but he's already so far ahead I may never catch up. It's ironic really... I'm still chasing you and yet someone has managed to wheedle his way between us with little effort.
Don't worry my plans won't be deterred but somehow I don't want to spend the rest of my life chasing a ghost. You haven't found me yet... No letter, nothing? Even though it was promised me that you'd return if I fixed that watch, somehow I feel if the watch were fixed that nothing would change. You'd still be out there.
Anyway, maybe its a good thing I met Scyeth, he's got an aura about him that makes people listen, makes them want to do their best. Maybe he's who I aspire to be or at least assimilate. There's no telling what the future holds but it seems like Shinkami has a lot of interesting people. I can't wait to met them all. Until then...

October 31, 2022SHINKAMI HALLOWEEN PARTY
Chikami Mall - Gardens
[ORP] w/ Everyone (x) Papa,
I went to my first Halloween Party today. Mama never let me go out to trick 'or treat so I never got a chance to really experience it. Though we didn't do that here, the party was still nice. I dressed up as a character from a Japanese comic book I was reading (they're called manga). He's called Zelgadis, a blue rock person of some sort. He's really good with his magic in the book I want to be as strong as him, though there are many others who are pretty strong too.
Oh yeah, I won the costume contest at the party. That was a neat surprise! Though I had help with my costume from the mall girls. They made such a fuss that if I didn't do the costume justice there was no point. I kinda like it, so kept the better half of the outfit in my closet. It kind of suits me. At least it would be nice to be able to wear the cape on a regular but I'll have to check the dress code here.

Today was an open house for the school. They were letting people in to fill faculty positions that were needed. It's kind of funny that I was more interested in finding out if you'd show up in disguise to see me. Maybe that's wishful thinking but a boy's allowed to dream right? Though there's nothing to be upset about it just means you have a lot of work to do. Just keep doing what you need so that when you finish there's no excuse to leave again.
I'll unlock the secrets behind your infatuation with magic too, papa. There's got to be something that drew you into such a field, it's seems complicated and there's so much I don't know. Humans just aren't built for this kind of work but Master Shinji told me that there are ways to unlock our potential. If only this letter could be sent to you, then it'd be of some use.
Maybe the next open house you'll show up. I'm really eager to see you again. All these letters will fill the time you missed with me so be prepared to read them all. XD
There's also been talk lately about some new students coming to school soon. I haven't seen them but hopefully their nice. I can't wait to meet them. Well its late and there's lots to do tomorrow. Until then...

[CRP] w/ Alexander "Sasha" Ivanova & Micajah Ackart (x) Those guys...
So today was a typical day of class all up until Sasha came barging into class looking for something. Though I wasn't worried about that so much, it was more for the way he was acting. Like he was dreading something. Hmm? Not sure what that was all about but I managed to snag him for a bit to help me go over some materials.
That lasted about two minutes before a bang announced Micajah's less than attractive entry. Those two boys are strange to me but I guess they're not all that bad. We talked a little about the invasion which somehow turned toward holiday festivities. Not sure how that came up... oh wait... I guess I was eager for another holiday get together.
However I still get the feeling that Sasha was upset for some reason. He kept acting strange the whole time, he seemed distracted. Well hopefully things will work out for him. Though I took off from class after a while, it was getting late and I still had some studying to do. Man will all this hard work pay off at all? I hope so...

[QRP] w/ Siona Hale (x)
Credit(s): 2 There's not much I can say about Dr. Siona but that she's a very pretty lady. She's kind and generous as well. I was rewarded with two of her books to read, they aren't like the usual books I like to read but maybe if I tried something new it would provide some insight into her mind. One book is a philosophical work and the other is a thesis. Again boring! Ah well it may take a while to buckle down and actually read this but the sooner the better.
As for our meeting it was fleeting... I'm not very comfortable around older women thanks to my mother. It's something personal I'll need to work on myself but she didn't seem upset or annoyed with me. Quite the contrary she actually listened to my ideas and views. Her books were eventually sorted through a color format. It was something my papa had taught me when he was fixing his study back at home. It was like making art with books, after all if you can't judge a book by the cover, then what should you do with it?
There's no telling but I think she might have realized my discomfort of my first name. A few times she used it but I never corrected her, maybe it was my thinking it rude but that name it just doesn't suit me... at least, not right now. Some day soon...

November 19, 2022SURVEYING THE STUDENTS
School of Magic
[QRP] w/ Gideon Burdock (x)
Credit(s): 2 It's my own fault you know. I don't have any drive and yet I keep at it regardless. Today I went to help Professor Gideon with a student survey. He wanted to know where most of the students were in understanding their field. I'm pretty sure he could sense it from me, that I just had no clue. He's a nice professor, very professional, he seems warm but outside of the survey there was little more said. Maybe best to keep our relationship as student/teacher anyway.
He asked a few questions that I was used to hearing dealing with magic. I answered mostly on a mechanical basis but I suppose he saw through that. So I tried to answer based on what I had learned but the funniest thing happened... all that I had learned was really nothing. I read books, study and jot down notes but none of it matters when it really counts. He even asked the question I ask myself everyday. "Why am I here?"
Story of my life... even if there's no immediate answer there's no where for me to return to so I'm going to figure this thing out. I may not have the fire like the other students but I don't want to be a failure. Anything to prove my mother wrong about me... that's all the fire I need.

-accidental deletion- (third post down) Today was quite fun. I had planned to do a bit of studying after I ate but happened to run into Micajah. He looked all banged up. Apparently some incident that he didn't tell me too much about, oh well, he's intitled to his secrets.
To say the least we spent a little time chatting about nothing in particular. He seemed a bit annoyed probably being in that wheelchair, I could relate to being a bit stir crazy myself. This school has me on edge at every moment, maybe I should just give up and leave...
Aside from those thoughts though we did talk about Spanish. Micajah let me call him Professor! That was pretty fun. He taught me a few key phrases that I need to go over so next we meet our session won't be so strained.
Ser/Soy - permanent "
Ester/Estoy - temporary
¿Como estás? - How are you?
Bien / Malo / Así-así - Good / Bad / So-So (Fine)
Adíos / Hasta luego - Good bye (Go with God) / See you Later
These were a few of the words he taught me. I'll be going over them a bit for our next lesson. He even gave me a book that would help out some. I plan to actually give it my best though I've been a bit curious about other languages too. Even though Shinji warned me about it, I've taken to reading that black book, nothing makes sense to me still but I've been jotting down notes. Maybe if I take up other languages I can probably learn this book too...
Latin. It seems to be the universal language or at least a lot of other cultures derive their words from it. Either way I did have fun today and plan to meet up with Mica later to learn more Spanish. If I do good learning Spanish maybe I can pick up on a little Russian too.
