December 18, 2005,
2:15 am; Durem City

"I must go back to that place to get some peace," Eliza Sommers muttered under her breath, black-tipped fingers shoving a few strands of dark purple hair behind a tri-studded ear. She hadn't slept in four days. Everytime she closed her eyes she'd be greeted with the tall building of the Hotel as it precided over the distant, wrought-iron gates. The gates themselves would then open and remain so until she crossed the threshold. In her dream, she had one destination-- the lobby... the place where it started and all ended. At first she had felt a push on her backside and a gentle although urgent tug on her sleeve that led her to her destination.

The first few times she had the dream it hadn't bothered her-- Eliza had presumed it just to be a strange coincidence of sorts. But then the same dream kept on coming back and each time the force that had beckoned her to the hotel itself had gotten more violent. Never before had she such vivid dreams. The last time she slept, Liza awoke to find her left forearm bruised. Four little purple dots along the outside and a fifth on the soft inside of her forearm. It was too uncanny of a coincidence with the bruises Jarred use to leave on her arm whenever he dragged her from one place to another.

At last the girl shut the heavy trunk she had once dragged with her best friend's help up the hotel's steps a little over a year ago. She wrinkled her nose then, a new ring attached to the right nostril twinkled under the candle light. With a soft sigh, she rose to her feet, ripples of white satin pooling at her feet. With her right hand she picked up an simple, black hilted dagger as she closed her eyes. "Goddess, I ask for your blessing and your guidance... God, I beg you to give me the strength and courage... Lord, Lady, please bless this amulate with the protection I need."

She then opened her eyes, and pointed the tip of the blade to a small necklace in the shape of an encirled star. A faint, warm glow seemed to envelope the pendant and athame. When it was over, Eliza paid her respects, gave an offering, had some cake, ale and then dismissed the forces she had gathered into her circle. Shortly after she snuffed out the candles she had lit and finished the prepartion for the journey ahead.

7:30 am

Eliza cursed as the impatient honking of her awaiting cab slipped through the open window. "Someone won't be getting a tip." She hissed, slipping on her backpack and giving that heavy trunk a strong pull. It took a while, but she managed to drag it down the two flights (the elevator was broken) without brusing her ankles-- or dropping the cage in her right hand.

Five minutes later the trunk was safe in the back seat next to her (the cabbie refused to pop open the trunk on the basis that it was jammed) and that cage (covered in black satin) over her knees.

"Where to?"

"I don't know how the place is called." Lies. She knew well. "Just take a left on Verde Street and head north on Galaway. Go straight until I say so."

The main said nothing and followed instructions. He only started getting nervous once he realized they were headed to the grounds of that...place. "You're not going up to the Jekyll de Hyde, right? "

"Oh-- so that's the name of the place."

"The place is cursed-- so I heard." He muttered, glancing at her through the rearview mirror.

"What are you now, scared?"

"Listen, you--"

"Because there's nothing more stupid than believing in curses." The man gave her a strange, odd look and said nothing. Cursed.. yah.. that place is definately cursed.

8:44 am

The ride had taken forever. First, they had suffered a flat, second the idiot cabby almost ran over a dog.... then he claimed to have gotten lost. The radio recieved nothing but static and out of nowhere, clouds had began to form. Needless to say, neither of them spoke.

At last they reached their destination, and by that time the cabbie was so spooked he didn't even bother to ask for the tab. All he wanted was to get out of there as fast as he possibly could. "Seems like we're back... " Liza muttered to the bat in its cage.

For a few moments, the girl couldn't help but stare at the locked gates before her as she chewed on her lip. Slowly, they began to move and she couldn't help but sigh. There definately was no turning back now. She didn't have a phone, the cab had left.. it was beginning to rain.

Eliza shrugged, gave her trunk another yank and crossed the threshold on her own....

"You son of a b***h!" Screamed an armed barbarian.

A tall thin man stoud over the bleeding savage with a cold look in his eye. His hair was long and black, wich matched with his midnight clothes of laether. Two black angel wings sprouted from his back. He held two black katanas, both covered in blood.

"This is why I am the angel of death" Kusef said.

A scream could be haerd over the sluaghtered mountain village.

"They're starting to get restless" The mysterious being said, after changing back to his regular form. The snow was deep, and the cold was intolerable. Somehow, this man was bearly affected.

He had been traveling around Gaia, bored out of his mind. His other forms being also bored, somtimes had enough energy to take over. It was getting quite out of hand for him.

A few days of traveling got him to a desert, and then finally durem. The city was the same as always, exept this time it was snowing. With a large amount of speed and agility, he leaped from rooftop to rooftop, heading to where he was once a year ago. "Maybe the spirits are a little more restless now, that would be some fun all my forms would enjoy" The weird male said, starting to run once he was out of the city.

It took her a good half hour to drag her trunk up to the Hotel steps and another ten to carry it inside. By the time Eliza stepped into the warmth of the hotel lobby, she was soaked to the bone-- and poor Francis, her pet bat, in an equally uncomfortable position. "I'm sorry sweetie, but you know I can't leave my things out there like that... especially not here."

The bat simply chittered in anger as his mistress pulled back the black satin that covered his cage. At least the lobby was dark-- it hadn't been used in a while, that much was obvious. A nice thick layer of dust covered everything.

"What a dump." Muttered Eliza, carefully unzipping her boots and laying them close to the doors before doing anything else. The last thing she wanted was to make a mess even messier. She then placed Francis' cage next to the boots and the cover then proceeded to drag her trunk toward the center of the lobby.

So many memories, so much energy. What the hell was going on? Eliza took a good look around before shrugging and heading off toward the stairs. She already knew where she was going and how to get there-- when she left, she'd taken the spare key to her room with her. Why? Liza herself didn't really know.

"I'll be back, Francis. Keep an eye on the place.. "

Screech! A taxi pulled up to the desolate gates, stopping rather abruptly as if the driver were unsure of his destination. However, moments later, the car's back door opened, revealing a high-heeled, black leather boot. Slowly, the boot grew to become an olive-toned left leg, followed by its twin. Piece by piece, this half figure emerged into the sunlight: the figure of a teenage girl.

This girl cupped a hand over her forehead, blocking out the sun as she surveyed the building. A look of recognition crossed her features, but the look could only be coincidental. This girl could never have before stepped foot upon the grounds of Jekyll de Hyde.

A former inhabitant of the abandoned theme park might have found her vaguely familiar. But surely, the girl they would recall could not be this same youth standing before the gates. For starters, she was much too old. From the looks of it, she might have been eighteen; in reality, she was perhaps fifteen or sixteen. Her hair was several inches too short; its razored, spiky edges did not even grace her shoulders but rather collected around her face and neck in layers of fringed strands. In the gleam of sunlight, mahogany strands took on a much redder hue. A pale pink, tattered skirt graced her hips, met at her waist by a black tank top; this ensemble was unlike anything the former girl would wear. Still, she fit rather neatly into the scene, almost as if she belonged on this sunlit drive, in this abandoned park.

Regardless of who she was, this young woman certainly knew where she was headed. After retrieving a series of bags--and a rather large trunk, as well--from the taxi, she strode up the path with an air of purpose. Oddly enough, this large array of heavy items followed, literally floating mid-air. The girl hardly seemed to care.

At last, the click of heels stopped. She now stood before the grand doors to the theme park's hotel. Without hesistation, she pushed the doors open and silked gracefully within, her little 'entourage' following in her wake.

With a wry grin that caused her still-youthful eyes light up cheerfully, the girl announced her entrance, "I think I'm a little late."

She brushed a strand of reddish hair behind her ears, allowing her left earring to show. This jewelry bore testament to her identity: a golden piece, red at the bottom, in the shape of two cherries. It seemed that Cerise Amour had returned to the one place she still truly considered home.

A nice long shower later and lots of meditation later, Eliza made her way down the stairs. She was dressed to her usual standards, a pair of purple cow-printed pijama bottoms covered her legs, a tight black tanktop her chest and her feet were covered in a pair of cow slippers.

As soon as she reached the lobby, she was greeted by the loud chit-chattering of Francis who was being disturbed by all the commotion. Indeed, Eliza was pretty surprised herself. And here she thought she'd have to call up people by using the records they had to fill upon checking in.

"Hey, careful, don't hurt Francis!" And so she rushed across the loby to snatch up the bat's cage. It was a pretty loud affair, all the moving and what not. Light was pouring in from the opened doors. Poor animal.

At last she closed her eyes and placed a hand over Francis' cage. "Somewhere safe, somewhere dark, somewhere peaceful and calm, like the wind you shall go, safe and quiet to my realm." The cage was sorrounded by a soft, dark purple glow before it vanished. The realm? Her room.. She'd already sealed and protected it from whatever dark spirit might try to hurt her.

Why?

Quite simple-- the implications of her dreams left her a little unnerved... and she'd rather be safe than sorry. "Now, who are you again?" She asked calmly, making her way up to the girl who was in charge of all the floating things.

If it hadn't been for the pink attire and the cherry studded earings, Eliza might not have known who it was. " Cerise? Cerise Amour? My, you've changed!"
PostPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2004 1:32 am

"No I haven't!" Cerise cried indignantly. The prospect of changing was a new one to her; she truly detested the idea of 'growing up.' "I just cut my hair, really--plus I've got a few new...talents. And Cherry! Cherry, Cherry, Cherry!" She winked, flashing the elder girl a peace sign. "It's nice to see you, Eliza."

Of course, there was much to be said, much to be done, and at the moment, Cerise was merely wasting time. She snapped her fingers, causing the line of bags to come to a crash behind her. "I'll deal with those later, I suppose. I've nearly forgotten which was my room..." Her voice trailed off for a moment, drawing her into a memory.

"Oh! There I go again, spacing out! Ok! Here's the deal! I had a dream that I was s'posed to come here. Several. They weren't all fun, but, well, I wanted to come 'home', anyway. And I consulted my every source: tarot cards, tea leaves, the stars. I even read my own palm! This is where I should be, I think." She looked rather sure of herself, in that cheery, confident way. "And so I've come back. But, oh, Eliza! We have so much to do!"

She had been about to elaborate, but out of the corner of her eye, something caught her attention at once. "My floor!" Cerise gaped at the dismal condition of the wood paneling she had tried so desperately to keep waxed and shining. "And the walls! I can't believe this place is so screwed up... Never mind, Eliza! I'll talk to you later! I've got to clean again, I guess."

Without another word, the brunette folded her hands across her chest. She shut her eyes for a moment, concentrating. As her eyelids flew open, so, too, did one of the six bags crashed behind her. From within this casing, a mop, broom, motley of sponges, and jar of soap emerged. "I can't believe that the first thing I've got to do is clean... Well, better make the best of it. I'll have to do most by hand, though. I can't set that many actions at once...." she murmured to herself.

Cerise casually waved her left hand behind her, sending the mop off to do some minor scrubbing. She dropped to her hands and knees, donning a soapy sponge. Without looking up, she continued speaking to the woman on the stairs. "Oh, right! I forgot! What I have to say is actually important, imagine that. But first things first, why've you come back?" It was best to have a story to measure alongside her own.

Ah, Eliza had forgotten what a bubbly, yuppy, happy-go-lucky person Cerise was, but hell, she had to admit she had missed the girl terribly. At first she didn't know if she should laugh, cry, or even scream at Cerise to shut the hell up but something caught her off guard.

The purple-headed teen was so dumbfounded that she didn't bother to listen to the rest of Cerise's ranting, nor did she pay attention to all the paranormal activity. At least, until the very end. "What?"

Chaos. Complete chaos had broken about her in less than a minute. Mops were moving on their own, brooms swept off at a distance, soap bubbles appeared out of nowhere. Cerise was even mumbling something about her floors, blah blah blah.

In the end Eliza shook her head, waving a hand in the air. It was too much information for her to handle all at once. "Why I came back? Well... Funny thing...." As she spoke a mop happened to wonder on by and she quickly snatched it up. A short power struggle later, Eliza was speaking again. " I thought I was the only one who dreamt about this place. Its been bugging me a lot, lately. I haven't slept in three days, you know... I keep on being told I should be here."

Well, it hadn't exactly *told her* to be there, but more like showed her in a rather forceful manner. As she mopped away the walls, Liza shrugged, chewing on her lip. Something wasn't right then.. if two people had such dreams, was the Hyde itself calling them? Was the hotel possible of such things?

" I had a friend do a divination for me and according to what the cards told her, I need to be here as well. Its never a good idea to know your own future.. But enough of that, what is the important matter you wanted to say?"
PostPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2004 8:30 am

As the mysterious being reached the gates, he simply leaped over them, his figure soaring towards the hotel wall. He landed on it nimbly, then shifted the gravity around him. Now that he could walk on walls, he headed to the roof. On his way there, he noticed two auras in the lobby. Funny, I thought some of them stayed...What's more surprising is that some came back The male thought, stroking his chin with his gloved hand.

One of the auras was obviously Cerise. He never forgot names or people. Though, he didn't recognize the other female, though she seemed to be chatting with Cerise as though they knew each other.

He dissmissed the issue for now, putting his two arms behind him and marching up the wall. His white spikey hair did not direct itself to the ground, since the gravity shifted all that was around him. Not like vampires, they walk on wall and their hair still goes to the ground.

As he jumped from the wall to the roof, the gravity shifted while in mid action, resulting in him smothly landing on the surface. he had done this several times, not to mention he never got rusty in any technique he used.

His grey dul eyes looked at the park from the top of the hotel. The haunted mansion's barriers were horribly weak, and most of the rides were fully built. Seems that more spirits were there than last time, seeing thousand more dead auras all over the place, but bearly any were at the lobby.

The weird man's curiousity grew, knowing that this time he would be one of the first here, he wouldn't be ignored as much as he did last time, not too mention some of those pests weren't here yet. The situation looked rather better for him than last time.

Eliza was unaware of how much time had elapsed since she and Cerise had commenced cleaning up the lobby, let alone if the bubbly girl had kept on talking. The elder girl had turned inward, allowing her mind to roam free and ponder endless possibilities of the reasons she found herself back at the Hyde of all places. By the looks of things, Cerise hadn't spoken another word-- she'd finished her own cleaning and then wondered off to her room or something.

Eliza was now alone in the lobby, the mop in her hand lifeless.

It was then when the faint, although urgent nagging feeling of her dreams creeped out of nowhere. Afraid that the force behind it might get violent if she resisted, Eliza Sommers followed the call, cow-clad feet shuffling on out past the sluggish doors.

The rain had stopped, but the clouds remained. The sun was almost gone too. What time was it? It didn't matter much... the point of the matter was that Liza looked more like a madwoman than anything else in the manner she was walking: short hurried steps that shuffled against the ground. With each stride the fuzzy cow slippers would moo.

Needless to say it was beginning to get on Eliza's nerves. She wished whatever was leading her would slow down a bit....

Where was she going?

At first it seemed like she was going back to the theme park it self and it was then when she noticed some of the unfinished rides had been finished. Some rides were closed and half demolished while others were being started up.

But it wasn't where she was going.

When the urgent pulling ceased, Eliza found herself at the entrance of the cemetary. Up ahead was Midori's home and shortly behind the haunted mansion. Instantly she knew something was amiss.. all that energy-- she hadn't felt it before. "Alright, alright, what do you want me to do?"

Silly girl, as if the force or spirit that led you there would actually *speak*. In the meantime, however, she simply stood where she was, a rather perplexed look on her face. " well...hmm..."

The strange man saw a small figure moving, and some strange sounds eminating from it. He focused his hearing, and came to the conclusion that it was the sound a cow made. He then focused his eyes, and his sense of auras. It was the stranger he felt from before, that was talking to the pinkish one.

The mysterious being smiled, thinking of why she was so close to the cemetary. His other senses were picking up something guiding the girl, she wasen't exacly alone.

With a wuick movement of his legs acting like springs, he jumped up, and practically flew towards her with the help of the wind. Manipulating your weight was quite useful for him. Then, when he was close enough, he flippped in mid-air and altered his weight yet again to a higher level.

The cement cracked as his knee landed on the floor, his hand came soon after for support. The thud could be heard from a few good meters, wich would probably cath the attention of the girl, just about twenty meters away.

Her room... Cerise could hardly believe that she'd found it. She lay on the bed (now complete with pink rose sheets), staring at the ceiling in contentment. Cleaning had proved to be a rather absorbing, tasking activity; she hadn't even had the energy to reveal all of her secrets to Eliza. But that could wait, she supposed. At the very least, she had had the sense to call her belongings up to the room.

Now, a short nap later, her boundless energy had returned. Her dreams had seen to it that the girl be very energized. Unlike Eliza's dreams, Cerise's were not 'sendings' or 'callings', rather, hers were premonitions--snapshots of actual events. And her latest dream had showed quite the interesting little scene.

Full of excitement, Cerise jumped off her bed and flew out of her room, glad that she had not bothered to change into pajamas. With a grin of remembrance, she rushed up to the stairs, avoiding the steps in favor of the banister. Her balance had surely increased somewhat, for she landed quite gracefully on the lobby floor.

The lobby doors burst open as Cerise threw herself out into the cold night air. She slowed her pace to a walk. Prescience was an extremely useful activity when one was navigating through an unlit area in the dead of night.

After a few minutes walking, visions were no longer necessary; the light of auras was more than enough to alert Cerise toward her destination. She sprinted the last few steps into the cemetary, stopping in between two headstones.

"Good evening, you two. It seems I've missed a bit. May I ask what's going on out here?" Her trademark smile was replaced by a look of curiosity as her gaze fell back and forth between the others in the cemetary. "I don't know if I'm remembering wrong, but isn't it true that being out this late in Jekyll de Hyde is never a good idea?"
PostPosted: Thu Dec 23, 2004 1:21 am

Eliza's brilliant green gaze shifted from the cemetary to the loud rumble to her left, a delicate brow arched in curiosity. Had it not been for the distraction, she surely would have crossed the physical boundry of living area and dead. In fact, the faint and pathetic 'MoooOoooo...' of one slipper had been drowned in the sudden rise in volume that sorrounded the area. What the hell had that been, an earthquake?

Instead of a gaping hole that opened to the mouth of hell, Liza was greeted with the form of a being she had never met before. Why had the girl pegged the man as a 'being' rather than a man? Despite the not-so-recent discovery of her heritage, Miss Sommers had a strange knack of seeing into the soul of people (some would say it was simply the awakening of her third eye)-- and in this man's case she saw souls.. lots of souls. "And would you suppose to know what it is that is so urgent in this place?

Well, she had to ask *somebody*, no?

The perplexed look on her oval face vanished as her lips curled into a broad smile. Footsteps resumed, this time directed toward the man before her, a slender hand outstretched.

Moo."I apologize," MooOooo." I am being rather... " MoOooo."Rude. My name is ," Moo "Eliza,"Moo."Sommers." MOoooo.

"But you can go ahead and call me anything under the god-given sun so long as it isn't Lizzie--" Cerise's sudden bubbly appearance cut Eliza short, the smile on her face fading. Realization registered on her face as she gave the younger girl a firm nod. "You're right, it generally isn't safe at this hour.. Shall we head back now?"

Cerise perked up immediately at the prospect of going back in. Of course, first introductions were in order. She smiled cheerily at the man standing at the cemetary's other end.

"I'm Cher--" she stopped abrubtly. Her bright eyes widened in shock. "Hey! I know you! You're...Well, I forgot! But you were that weird guy with the super weird aura... Oh, I'm so sorry!" Something about people's auras always stayed with Cerise. A name, a face, a voice: all were fleeting, yet one's aura was something that remained impressed within the girl's mind.

"But I do know when I met you! Yup, yup!" she immediately sought to cover up her little slip, lest she embarrass the poor guy. "I was talking to these ghosts, and oh! That was the day I met Ikue, too, I think! Or was that the next day?" She stopped in her remembrance, tapping a cheek in thought.

A gust of wind reminded the thinking girl of her whereabouts. Only Cerise would stop to think in the middle of a haunted amusement park's cemetary at midnight... She shook her head; if she continued speaking, they'd probably be stuck out in the cold the whole night. "Um, well, never mind that. Let's go inside, ok? Just don't trek dirt on my floor!" This last exclamation came out as a warning. She had grown very possessive of the lobby floor, namely in terms of cleanliness. Threats completed, the little optimist turned on a boot heel, striding off toward the hotel.

Light. As a healer, Cerise was unconsciously drawn to the element. She'd practically sprinted the entire way to the well-lit hotel without even thinking about it. Now, she was perched atop the lobby desk, legs crossed in front of her. She looked very much like an orchestra conductor as she directed flying coffee mugs with her index fingers. The room filled with comforting scents of coffee and cocoa.

Cerise basked in the light, smiling subconsciously. "Hey!" she called, careful not to let the mugs out of her sights. "What would you two prefer: coffee or cocoa?"

((That mooing thing made me laugh! xd ))

The Mysterious male Slowly got up soon after his landing, to hear things coming from two dierections. First wsa the girl he followed here. "It's quite alright El, if you don't mind me calling you that, I can understand you being somewhat rude at this late hour." He replied, shaking her hand firmly.

He then felt the pinkish aura of the woman he had met before get out of the hotel and reach them. She said various comments and some questions to him, but she never let him answer them. Cerise just sprinted back to the hotel before he could say the first word that was supposed to come form his opened mouth.

He shut his mouth, then opened it again at El. "Pretty energetic, isn't she?* He commented with a friendly smile on his face, then started walking back to the hotel. His steps were hesitant, waiting for the other female to follow.

A rather turbulent and chaotic atmosphere took over the rather quiet night captive upon Cerise's arrival, only to cease in the same fashion whence it came. Eliza remained silent for a long time after, a rather blank expression on her face. Had it not been for the man's voice, she most likely would've remained in place almost as if she were made out of stone.

"She's an acquired taste, alright... like 150 proof Vodka. " Eliza was being polite, what she really meant to say 'downright annoying as hell, but then she numbs out all your senses and you get used to it. Its all cool as gravy then.'

"She's a sweet girl, though." That, she wasn't lying about. Eliza never lied about sunch things. She simply would rather deal with ten whining, sniveling, pathetic, antisocial, depressed morons for the rest of her life than have to put up with Cerise for three hours... alone.. in a room.. with no way out. Or anyone like her, anyway. Liza would go crazy in such a situation.

Then again, she Miss Sommers had worked at a morgue for the past year.

Having said that, and taken a deep breath as if saying 'here we go again', Eliza moved, the constant mooing of her slippers responsible for the lack of silence on her part.
