H o w I A c t: Sadiki is a pretty high-strung guy. Not hyper, but he's always on the edge, and it usually doesn't take much of a push for him to dive over it either. After his cousin's death (see below for details), He lost a bit of his carefree attitude and is more cautious about certain places now.
He does speak fluent English, however when he is alone, or trying to get someone to go away, he will speak in his native tongue just because it's less hassle for him.
A D a r k P a s t: When Sadiki was a very young child, he lived in Berlin, Germany with his EXTREMELY large family. Well, his large extended family. He was the only child that his parents had, but his older cousin was the closest to a brother. As such, when Sadiki turned 10 and his cousin was going to move to the United States, he was allowed to go.
It wasn't long before they had rented an apartment at the Wayward Children Pound and Sadiki quickly learned English. And not long after, he met an...oddly weird female, Rhea Dragonspeed.
When Sadiki turned 17, His cousin went to a bar. Sadiki went with him, only because he was tired of staying at home. While at the bar, both of them hooked up with a few ladies, but unbeknown to them, one had a boyfriend. Things got heated to the point of molten metal and in the end, Sadiki was left with his cousin bleeding out in his arms from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest.
Not long after, Sadiki returned to Berlin for a while to bring his cousin's body back to the family and to attend the funeral. He stayed there for a good few months, shaken and completely torn up about what happened, wishing he had been shot instead of his cousin. His family then urged him to go back to the States, seeing as his cousin had worked so hard to be able to get them over there. After that, Sadiki went back to live with a new person he met, Samus Aran.

H o w I A c t: Though still self-centered and violent, his actions tend to be for the best and his relationship with his division and others is always portrayed comically. He is usually depicted as having a very poor sense of direction, asking his lieutenant Yachiru for directions (who then randomly points in a direction, as her sense of direction is just as bad). Kenpachi lives for battle and enjoys a good fight more than anything. He even weakens himself in an effort to make any fight last longer. He also claims that injury and death are nothing but the price one pays for a good fight. Despite his group being the most bloodthirsty of the Gotei 13, they have a code of ethics, though different from the set rules of Soul Society.
Though he literally lives for battle, Kenpachi has shown human emotion and caring for two things: his lieutenant Yachiru and his name, which he gave himself. Despite his violent tendencies, Kenpachi will usually give up on a fight if his opponent is too injured to fight back, claiming that he has no interest in fighting weaklings who cant fight any more nor is he obligated to deal a deathblow to anyone who can no longer fight. However, he will unhesitatingly kill his opponent if they refuse to end their fight on his terms as seen during his battles with Tosen and Nnoitra.
Kenpachi has shown on multiple occasions that he possesses great respect for those who can beat him in fight.
Kenpachi also strongly believes that fun comes before working. In every battle, he tries to get as much enjoyment out of it as possible.
At times it seems Kenpachi contradicts his own logic, as he on one hand wishes for ever increasing personal power, yet on the other restricts his might. Irrational to a certain extent, Kenpachi is one of the most complex characters in the series, as he exhibits a wide range of traits; lackadaisical abandon; reckless blood lust; disregard for laws, rules and regulations when it suits him; peculiar sentiments of affection toward his subordinates; and even indications of wisdom in the form of terse pep-talks usually given to opponents just before or even during battles.
A D a r k P a s t: Zaraki's surname comes from the district he once resided in, Zaraki, which is district #80 of the North Alley of Rukongai. District #80 is the worst, most lawless region of Rukongai, full of thieves and murderers (whereas area #1 is the most orderly and law-abiding). While residing in District #80, Kenpachi was nameless. During that time, he became proficient in swordsmanship and killed numerous enemies. During his travels outside of District #80, he found a small girl and named her Yachiru, in remembrance of the only person he ever admired, after she showed no fear of his sword. Yachiru came from area #79, Kusajishi, where her parents were murdered. The two events were apparently quite close. On that day, he also took on a name: Kenpachi, the title bestowed upon the strongest Shinigami in every generation, the one who has slained the most enemies and won the most battles.[9] Before he became a captain, he fought and defeated Ikkaku Madarame; he was told by Kenpachi to accept the defeat and survive so he can then became stronger in order to get revenge, from that point on Ikkaku pledged to serve under Kenpachi from there on out, (Ikkaku doesn't actually get the chance to do so until he joins the 11th Division).
After some time had passed, Kenpachi found his way to Seireitei. There he defeated and killed the previous Captain of the 11th Division (whose name was also Kenpachi due to it being a nickname assigned to the Captain of the 11th Division regardless of who it may be) and gained his seat in the Gotei 13 in this manner (according to the 3rd Captain Qualification Trial). It was his assumption of the captain's seat in this way which caused Maki Ichinose to leave Soul Society; it was also this action that made Kaname Tōsen revile him. Once he achieved this, Ikkaku, along with his friend Yumichika Ayasegawa, joined the 11th Division. Sometime shortly after joining Kenpachi was forced to learn kendō from Shigekuni Yamamoto-Genryūsai because he hadn't learned any formal swordsmanship training, having bypassed those normally necessary qualification due to the way he attained his position. Kenpachi hates using kendō because his battles would end too quickly with it, so he only uses it if his own life is in danger.

For now, she doesn’t remember. She doesn’t remember the pain, the blood. She doesn’t remember his face, his name. She doesn’t remember their sneers, their hatred. She doesn’t remember dying inside, over and over. She doesn’t remember herself.

Candypop was born with the name Jessica Jacquelyn Cantu. Her mother was a prostitute who got pregnant by one of her customers. Her mother never had time for her, so Jessica was almost always alone in her mother's shitty apartment watching kid's shows with her mother in the next room with whatever man she had. When Jessica was old enough to go to school, she went only every other week since her mom was usually too lazy and 'working' too much to take her. But Jessica read and learned on her own during her elementary and middle school years. During that time she realized what it was her mom did in her bedroom with those men, and was practically horrified. When her high school years came, she was introduced to something that calmed her; Trance music. She filled her CD's with this music and listened to it constantly. She died her hair teal with purple/magenta streaks and began wearing different-colored contacts. One day at school she got an invitation to 'Dementia', a Rave party. She was hesitant to go, so she kept ignoring the invitation until the day before.
That night, her mother was late from working the streets, and her at-home client arrived. She calmly explained that her mother was working late, but for some reason the man was anxious. He cornered her and was ripping her clothes off when her mother arrived. Instead of helping her daughter, she flopped down on the bed and turned on the TV. Jessica cried out as the man thrust her down to the floor, but still her mother did nothing. Just as she was about to get raped, Jessica bit him and hit him with a pack of glow sticks she had just bought. As he reeled from the pain, Jessica took off, grabbing a sheet to wrap her near-naked body with. She made her way to her high school and sat near the front door, crying.
As the sun rose, she was found by one of her classmates who immediately took her to his house. There, she was treated warmly by him and his mother. She was given clothing that his mother had from her oldest daughter and she was offered their spare bedroom. She accepted, only because she had no other choice, and didn't want to go back to her whore of a mother.
As class ended, she followed her friend to where the rave was being held and met his friends there. The girls immediately took her to the bathroom and applied makeup and gifted her with multi-colored bead bracelets and glow sticks. The party went on until morning and Jessica was never happier. She had new friends, a nickname, and she was going to start a new life. But she vowed to never touch ecstasy. Ever.
She continued attending raves with her friend, living at his house and going to school with him. They never evolved their relationship, except for when they got out of control at raves and made out with each other. But that was all waved off. Her life was going great until one month before her 18th birthday.
On her way to school, she met her mother again. She told her daughter she was going to go to the police to get her back, and that she was sorry for 'whatever she had done'. Enraged, Jessica pushed her mother down and ran to the school, praying she'd forget. But she was called to the principal's office and was forced to go home with her mother. She did at first, but at night she snuck out to her friends' house to go to their weekly rave. When she got there, he greeted her with a hug and a kiss, and for the first time she felt feelings for him. When they got to the rave, Jessica was confused about her feelings towards him and didn't pay attention to the people around her. When she got to the snack bar, she didn't notice that what she picked up was a cupcake on the 'loaded' side. She ate it, then went to go glow sticking with some friends. After a few minutes, she began acting giddy and silly with them, rubbing on the girls and touching the guys. When they all took a break, she went and sat by her friend. She began to have those feelings for him again and started kissing him, him kissing her back as they usually did. But they didn't stop after that moment, they went the whole night rubbing on each other and kissing and doing things they normally would not have done. At the end of the night they went home like normal, and slept. But his night, they slept in the same bed, holding each other tight. Jessica went to sleep with tears in her eyes and his lips touching hers gently.
When they awoke, Jessica was questioned by her friend, and realized what she had done. He said it was fine, but she was horrified with herself, thinking she had acted like her mother. Worse, he acted like it was no big deal; He obviously did not return her feelings, and this made her heart, and head, hurt. She took Advil before school, but instead of taking only one, she took 5. She walked out the door ten minutes later, and then collapsed. Taken to the hospital, she laid in that room, wondering where her life had gone. Her friends visited her with new glow sticks and bracelets, and the teachers did as well. Her friend never left her side except at night when he had to leave. But she got a visitor she didn't want.
Her mother once again tried to get back in her life, but Jessica would have none of it. Angered, her mother came back while she was asleep, and injected something in her IV drip, then ran.
Pronounced dead hours later, Candy was taken, instead, to a foster home. Not yet 18, she was given to a new family with another adopted son. Before getting there, she was sure that she would be hated and that the family would hate her. Instead, she found someone. Her brother. Johnny. He welcomed her with open arms and she was happy again. But she never again would introduce herself as Jessica. She took the name her beloved friend gave her, Candypop.
After she arrived at the home, her first meeting was with two males, Ajax and Aquos. She developed a sort of crush on them...for 2 minutes. She realized they were just male versions of her mother. Aquos seemed to just suffer bad luck, but Ajax was beyond her comprehension. But her little crush on Aquos would not go away. But she eventually pushed it out, convincing herself that those two were just stupid man-whores.
