Alright, so things had decided to just turn around for him. Gregori had a pretty good life, living with his...chaotic family and all, But things happily turned around the day his mom actually kicked him out. Luckily on that day, he found Ikaika and was now living with him. It was almost a nice dream.
Unless that dream involved standing in front of a snack vending machine with a bag of potato chips that you're CRAVING being caught between a shelf and the glass.
"Oh Maaaaannnn.." he whined, poking the glass pitifully. "I'm huuungry... Please Mr. Machine? Gimmie~?" he pleaded in vain, poking the glass still.

Life was the same for Julian, but he didn't mind. Well, his father seemed more anxious usual, but whenever he asked, he was only answered with a 'They're coming'. He then just figured that someone he probably knew was coming to the pound.
Anyways, the fox just lived his life, going back and forth from the pound and the library when he ran out of books to read. Now, he found himself returning from the library, nose already buried in the book he took out. As he walked down the hall, his ears perked at the sound of someone whining.
Pulling away from the book long enough, he looked up and saw the cat at the vending machine. It seemed that the item he purchased got stuck, a common, unfortunate occurrence. With that, he walked up to the other. "Are you alright?"

His pouting interrupted, Gregori looked up and smiled at the newcomer. Glasses, a book..intellectual. Better than his little brother finding him in this predicament. Flicking an ear, he tapped the glass one last time before turning around fully.
"Yeah, i'm alright, thanks for askin. I just won't have my dinner tonight it seems." Letting out a gentle laugh he held out his hand cheerfully, giving a lop-sided grin. Though his family would probably terrify this guy, Gregori liked to think he had -class-."My name's Gregori. Whatcha readin'?"

Julian tilted his head slightly when the other claimed he was fine, just missing supper. Before the fox could question it, he was greeted by the outreach of a hand and an introduction. Smiling warmly, he took the cat's hand and shook it. "It's nice to meet you, Gregori. I'm Julian." When he was asked about what he was reading, he glanced to the book momentarily before returning his gaze back to the other. "Oh... it's The Hounds of Baskerville. A classic." He answered happily.
Before he got too distracted to remember, he questioned. "Did I hear you mention something about missing dinner?" His red eyes glanced over to the vending machine, where the object lay suspended between the coils and the glass, but surely the other didn't mean that was his dinner?!
