I haven't eaten at McDonalds for 8 years, and haven't eaten at burger king longer. not only is the food terrible for you, I don't want to support such wretched corporations, and it doesn't matter to me if they have veggie burgers or whatever, I will never eat there ever.
if you're vegan/vegetarian, and order something vegetarian from either, I still think that's ******** up because in a way you're still supporting a place that slaughters animals.

QueenMaeve Beef fat? Damn.. Should I tell my vegan friend about this? I don't want to be the bearer of bad news and limit her food even more. emo
I bet the salads are deep-fried too. gonk
@Seismic - I agree. It's not like we still don't pollute. I'm assuming most of us still use cars as the main source of transportation. We still throw out garbage every week. We still use electricity. Every bit helps, but we shouldn't criticize others for their choices.
Besides, McDonalds employs at least hundreds of thousands of people, including some of my friends. They pollute (just like anyone else), but they're great for the economy. their website doesn't mention using beef lard to fry the fries....but it does mention they use beef flavoring, hrmmmm

Even if they employ a lot of people, they are pretty much not allowed to form a union and get really crappy pay. Why do you think we call evil jobs McJobs?

I love fries...Don't eat them much anymore. So yeah if it wasn't for teh health issues or that I was boycotting fast foods places for rain-forest destruction, I'd eat Macdonnalds'. fries.
I only bought Burger Kings fries once because I was extremely hungry and there was no other veggie option.

I only bought Burger Kings fries once because I was extremely hungry and there was no other veggie option. Burger King has had a veggie burger for like 5 or 6 years now. I've never tried it though. they're odd tasting. && they have egg whites, so if you're a vegan you're ********. confused
also, McDonald's fries are fryed in vegetable oil. it has a lower smoking temp, so therefore it cooks faster. but it has natural beef flavoring so i'ts still not vegetarian.

The dinosaurs are returning... Where I live it's illegal to deep fry anything in animal fat =].
And I don't live in India.
I live in the United States.
Portland, Oregon.
...and they want their oil back.

Sadly purchasing any food from anywhere probably has the affect of supporting a place that slaughters animals... Like.
Buying a pound of spinach from Wal-Mart gives money to a corporation that also purchases meat from factory farms.
But I do agree with you on the McDonald's is evil, but I don't support them because they are are horrible corporation that mis-treats their employees, and makes a fortune from selling ridiculously unhealthy food.
...and they want their oil back.
