McDonald's Fries are cooked in 97% Vegetable Oil. The remaining 3% is BEEF FAT. The only places where it isn't like that are places with large Buddhist or Hindu Communities.
Move to India.
In relation to the Topic name, there is a kind of Chicken called Mr. McDonald. They are bred for large breasts.

I think it's a little far to judge someone on where they go to eat, or where they would like to eat, or what they miss about eating meat.
While McDonalds is definitely bad, it's the marketers, and the corporation that is bad, not necessarily the people who eat there. (And I doubt Evil Karma Angel does eat there) The people that choose to eat there contribute to the poor lifestyle, but not all of them partake in it, and that's their choice. The same way being veg*n is ours.
I don't think that ragging on someone is EVER productive.
Enough people "arg" at us, we shouldn't do it to each other.

Beef fat? Damn.. Should I tell my vegan friend about this? I don't want to be the bearer of bad news and limit her food even more. emo
I bet the salads are deep-fried too. gonk
@Seismic - I agree. It's not like we still don't pollute. I'm assuming most of us still use cars as the main source of transportation. We still throw out garbage every week. We still use electricity. Every bit helps, but we shouldn't criticize others for their choices.
Besides, McDonalds employs at least hundreds of thousands of people, including some of my friends. They pollute (just like anyone else), but they're great for the economy.

Therein lies my biggest... 'beef' with McDick's. They're rather poor employers. Virtually everyone I know has done a stint there including me. I didn't stay long enough to log the overtime as 'missing hours' nor did I stay long enough to have my 16 year old manager yell at me much (I was 18 at the time). Everyone says Walmart is bad, but they call those kind of s**t employments McJobs for a reason. McDick's paved the way for other huge corporations to treat their employees badly and sell crap. If it were up to me and I had to choose between which company to wipe off the face off the earth, Walmart would only win because they hurt entire cities.

My friends only hate it there because they get covered in deep-fried cow guts every day, and cleaning the grill and ketchup dispensers is gross. Maybe it all depends on the specific store... I just know that I will never work with fast food (right now I work at an actual restaurant).
Sadly, I live in a small town where Walmart is the biggest business. There's also a tiny, inexpensive grocery store with limited selection, and another that charges a lot more for the same products. I think Walmart is slightly less bad than the Big Bear grocery store we used to have. They pretty much had a monopoly here and took advantage of it.
I hate how McDee's tries to convince you that their food is healthy. You get processed chicken and apples covered in sugary carmel for your little girl, and a harmless salad drenched in 500cals of dressing for you. Then again, even Subway does that with their bacon chicken ranch sandwich (aka death on a bun), and Togo's with its 600cal avocado chicken whatever sandwich.
I still think it's sad how these places like McDee's and Dairy Queen have high schoolers practically running the place.

Actually, I like In-n-Out (I miss their hamburgers and fries) is pretty okay as far as fast food goes. They get everything fresh and local, and they're the best fast food company to work for. I also like Beefaroo (their Boca burgers are great!) and they have a HUGE selection of things that veg*n people (like myself) can eat. biggrin

I think that someone who keeps saying that they're "green" and "ecological" shouldn't eat at McDonald's. You are what you eat, you know..?

Evil Karma Angel So my sisters are chickens with large breasts that inable them to stand and are force-fed until they die of heart attacks? If you take it that way then most of the people in this guild are complete vegetables.
