Actually i think he was saying 6 yrs. to make the trilogy. That's approx. how long both POTC and LOTR took to make their trilogy's. But the first movie should probably be out in about 2 yrs. And i'll be 26 when the trilogy is done........REALLY scary!!

You people keep saying "The creators are with him, they wont let him ******** it up". J.K Rowling was with the directors of the Harry Potter movies and they've been ******** beyond recognition.

[Hollow Point] The Village and Lady in the Water aren't even worth your time,
That's a matter of opinion. I liked The Village. It wasn't the best movie in the world, but it was interesting, and definitely had it's moments.
As for Lady in the Water, it's one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. It had it's odd points, yes. It had weird characters. But I find that everything tied together really well. The weird characters were charming. And you can't deny that the creatures were absolutely amazing.

The Village was one big fat POS, the ending was very anti-climactic and dull throughout the movie. The idea of the movie itself wasn't that good to begin with, not to mention it wasn't M Night's vision to begin with.

Since you are SO against M. Night doing the live action, who would you rather see make it? So bump "Chick Flick" writer? No thanks. rolleyes

[Hollow Point] You people keep saying "The creators are with him, they wont let him f**k it up". J.K Rowling was with the directors of the Harry Potter movies and they've been ******** beyond recognition. You can't really compare the two. Rowling was a novel writer, not really into the movie or television business. I think these guys have a better handle on what they want it to be like, and the ability to make it happen, whereas she probably didn't know the first thing about the business, or how something that is written transfers to something that is seen. anyways I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. And hope for the best (and decent actors PLEASE get decent actors!)

No thanks. rolleyes Rowling did the first two movies, she had them pretty much cohere to the books, while 3 and everything after it were ******** beyond belief. I'm actually a fan of the books, thank you very much. Who would I rather have direct it? I dunno, Peter Jackson, Guermo Del Toro, and Michael Bay would ALL be better choices, all being top rate directors, better than M. Night.

Guermo Del Toro would definitely beat M. Night in directing fantasy movies. But personally, I'd rather see Christopher Nolan or Bryan Singer at the helm. Damn, even Zack Snyder or Sam Raimi would direct it better.

Director aside (Since no one can agree on whether or not he's a good choice) -
My big things is Actors.
One: It'll be really weird to hear someone else's voice being Aang or Sokka or, well, anyone for that matter. Looks I don't think will be a problem at all (Movie Make up, gotta love it.)
Two: Since it's asian inspired, will they try for an entirely asian cast for all the nations (Aside from the water tribes which will obviously be Native American.) Or will they bring in Caucasian actors(And, well any they feel like) as well, and make it a more diverse setting?
What do you guys think/hope?

I haven't heard anything confirmed, but the word around that I keep hearing is that M. Night is looking for an all Asian/Inuit/Native cast. He's also looking for unknown/new actors (this according to the interview).
