Madison left the Dr''s office and stagged towards her bungalow. She felt so dizzy and light-headed.
"I feel so strange.. what was in that shot that he gave me?" she mumbled as her head pounded.
She finally arrived home and layed down on her bed. It was weird how her body tingled all over. Clutching her head, she rolled over on her back and tried to ease the pain.

It started... with a buzzing in your ears. Not a distinguishable sound but... something. Then an itching sensation spreading across your as you watch redish tinted hair... no more like fur begins to sprout from different places across your body. Your nose sniffs, smelling things it's never smelled before (though not as sensative as a fox's nose by far.) Your body burns as changes begin to take place inside your body. You watch as your fingernails begin to legthen and thicken as they turn black. Your palms grow... leathery like the pads of an animal. You feel your tailbone legthen painfully as the small nub almost moves of it's own accord. Then it hits you... the buzzing stops and suddenly, like an onrush you can hear. You hear the sound of crickets outside and that of the wind. The hearing seems... duller than you used to have but as you touch the pointed furred ears you realize that according to Moreau it will be better than that of a human. You think you know why.

Madison finally made it home and flopped down on her bed. She had stopped feeling so bad and finally fell fast asleep.

Attached to the front of your duplex door is a handwritten note with the Feral Labs logo in the top left corner.
In a flowery script, the following message is written:
The Invitation You are cordially invited to a meet and greet Halloween costume party to take place Halloween night. The staff will be setting up a tent just for this occasion and will be catering, of course. We know that you most likely did not pack costumes, so if you will just leave a message with the staff (through the intercom) to let us know what you would like to dress as, we will be able to procure a costume for you. ~Aubrey heart
((OOC: The Halloween party will take place in a separate thread in the guild that will be made for the event. The event will last in real time from Friday Oct 28 till the end of actually halloween, Monday the 31st. Feel free to come and go at your leisure. That night, at 3am on the dot, there is a LOUD sound of an explosion, originating from the sky above the Island. Looking out, or anyoune outside would look up to see a brief fireball in the sky. Following that, any power that is on begins to flicker, going through a few brownouts before finally shutting down altogether. If you happen to be awake at that point - you would notice all the lights around you, any electronic equipment that wasn't battery operated flicker and die. However, within a few seconds of the final powersurge and failure, you find yourself being pulled into a forced unconsciousness.
When you wake up, it is midafternoon the following day, though it would vary within a few hours depending on the individual. You are NOT in your duplex. You wake up to find yourself on the inside of the lab fence. There is no one there and the lights of the complex seem completely off. No electricity is running through the fence but the gate does not open as normal.
All of the buildings on the island are in 'shutdown' mode. This means that everything is locked tight. If you attempt to force your way into any of the buildings, your own duplex and the Town Hall included, then you will find that from the outside at the very least, they are impenetrable. If any window was broken - it is now fixed. All of the lights are off - in every building. Even the electric fence surrounding the main laboratory is turned off - though still closed. Attempts to break into the main complex will be met with equal lack of luck as breaking into a duplex or the town hall.
The only items you have on you are the items that you would have been wearing when you were asleep/fell unconscious: including clothing and perhaps a few battery-powered electronics IF You would have been wearing them. That's it. Everything else is where you left it - if it was in your duplex, it still is and you can't get to it.
There is no sign of what happened to the staff. The labs are quiet from the outside.

A TwistHowever.... you don't just wake up as you once were. As consciousness returns (and you are quite lucky - as your transformation occurred while forcibly put to sleep you missed out on the pain), you feel much... fuzzier. While there is no mirror where you find yourself, and your arm still is sore where the injection was given you, you can hear! Quite well, actually! But with the hearing has come a ... price. You are almost completely covered in thick foxy fur, with the exception of parts of your underside, and the top part of your face. Your nose and mouth have pushed out into a small muzzle, you've grown a short brush of a tail, and dark hair covers your hands and feet up to your knees/elbows. Round, blunt doglike claws tip your fingers and toes, and your nose has turned black and moistened, awaking your senses to a wide array of scents.

"Ahhh I can't get into my house. I wonder what happened and why do I feel hot all a sudden?!" Madison yelled.
She put her hands to face and felt sharp claws dig in. In pain, she held her hands up and saw they were now paws! She felt around her body and her cute button nose was now a muzzle and her ears were longer.
"What is happening to me?" she screamed all terrified.
Her body itched underneath her clothing and she felt the urge to rip them off...but then rationalized not to.
"Even though I may look like an animal, I am still a human being" she cried out. Tears now stained her furry cheeks and she began to feel depressed.
No one looked like they were around but the sight of jungle nearby seemed like the perfect place to go. She now had some instincts telling what was right and wrong. She could hear far away sounds and smell scents she never smelled before. The earth and trees intoxicated her nostrils and she cried out with a howl.
Now on all fours, she ran to the jungle.

Madison finally made her way back home after enjoying herself at Colche's birthday party. She slipped off all of her clothes and dived into her warm bed.
Snuggling into the covers, Madison looked up at the ceiling fan until her eyes became heavy with sleep.

A few hours later, Madison found herself back in New York in her clean psychiatric office and seated in her leather chair. It was such a shock to be back here.. was being on the island all a dream? No, this must be a dream...wasn't it?
Madison pushed herself back from the shiny cherrywood desk in front of her and got to her feet. The reflection in her desk sent shivers up her spine. Why, she was human again. Her brown Louis Vuitton purse layed open on the desk, bursting to the brim with cosmetics. Madison reached for a makeup mirror to get a better look at her appearance.
She had always taken pride in how she looked. It was her physical beauty that usually got her what she wanted. Madison hesitated to glance into the mirror that was in her perfectly manicured hands. Finally, she opened it up..
The reflection that stared back at her caused her to promptly drop the mirror, which shattered into tiny glass shards on the hardwood floor.

It was so horrible that she jumped out of bed immediately, emitting a low howl. She blinked her eyes and looked at her surroundings. She was back on the island and her body was still changed..changing.
"It must of been all a dream.. My face had such emptiness and my eyes...they were like ice. Was I really such a hollow human being?" she asked herself in a low voice. The wildlife outside buzzed loudly until her ears could not take it anymore.
Madison curled up on the floor into a fetal position, wrapping her tail around her torso. After awhile, she suddenly found a serene calmness wash over her as if she was intended all along to have these changes. Soon she was as fast asleep as a baby.

Clashes of thunder reverberated against the gaunt walls of Madison's bungalow. Her scarlet head bashed against the dresser edge as she sprung up from her sleeping position on the floor.
The depths of her ear cavities throbbed with unimaginable agony from the outside storm. She steadied herself on the slick wooden floor and tried to feel her way around the nearest wall for a lightswitch.
Flashes of intense light flickered outside and were followed by more detonations of thunder, making it severely difficult to see any of her surroundings. It was like she was blind one minute and could see the next.
The pain in her head and ears throbbed violently. Madison howled curses as a located switch would not produce any electricity to light up the room.
Another blast of thunder sent intense pain to her ears so she ran to the safety of her closet and slammed the door behind. It was pitch black inside as Madison slinked down the hanged up clothing and into an indian style. Under the door crack, she could make out flashing lights from the storm but it wasn't as bad as being in the room. She began to drown out her thoughts and calm her nerves.
After circling her fingertips around her temples, Madison soon felt alot better. She carefully made sure to not bang her head against the bamboo clothing bar as she climbed out of the closet.
The light in her room was now on and she sighed in relief. Madison was still so dredfully tired so she reached for the switch to turn it off. Almost like clockwork, a surge of electricity raged through her body and caused her to fall hard on the floor. She didn't know if the shock came from the switch or something else..
Madison's body muscles spasmed and her eyes rolled back into her head. Soon everything went black as she slipped into the depths of unconsciousness.

Her body lay sprawled out on the floor motionless for what seemed like hours. Madison lifted her heavy lids and began to focus her eyes on her surroundings.
An intense pain shot all through her back as she attempted to lift herself off of the floor. She didn't know how long she been out or what had happened...just knew she wanted to get out of here.
Madison scrambled over to her dresser and pulled out some clothing to change into before heading out the door.
