[Your Worst Nightmare] It's hard to say. After so many years being alone, I bet revenge is all I'd think about. I can't picture myself killing anyone, but in that situation, I can understand how pain can be turned into fury. As for Mrs. Lovett, I think I'd lie at first, but eventually guilt would take over me and I'd tell him the truth.. despite the consequences. I can see why she did lie, though. I don't think knowing his wife was alive would have done him much good.. I mean, knowing she was still living, but a half-insane beggar woman might make it harder for him to move on. Ok, you have a point there. Knowing Lucy's condition would not have helped him immedietly, but she really did hurt him and because she never DID tell the truth, he ended up killing his wife.

I really don't think I would have... Granted what the judge did was just plain stupid as far as I'm concerned. I would have been depressed for a time, and then angry, but I wouldn't have killed people, and put them into pies of all things. Personally, as Sweeney I would have found a way to get Johanna back and run off again. Though I might have killed Mrs. Lovett for lying the way she did... that kind of made me mad even if she is my favorite character.
Then again.. When people ask "what would you have done if you were them" Well... If you really were that person, you wouldn't be you anymore... if you were that person, you have their thoughts, feelings ect. So I really don't think the question makes sense. Incredibly random thought there... sweatdrop

Huh, I thought I had posted in here before.
No way I'd do anything Sweeney did. I might go after the Judge and try to get Johanna, but I would never kill innocent people. Not even the Judge. I don't think I'd be able to. I'd just.. devise a plan to get her I guess, go for it, take her and Nellie and leave town.
Now.. If I was in Mrs Lovett's place.. I would never be able to bake the people into pies. I mean, ew, I'd probably end up throwing up all over them anyway. Imagine the smell and just.. ick. I think, though, that I'd say the same thing about Lucy.. this is the opportune moment to have the love you always wanted. A little lie, in that case, is forgivable. =P I'd have gotten rid of her, though. Stuck her on a ship or something, never to return. As good as dead!

Well, I honestly can’t say whether I would do the same thing Sweeney did, since I don’t think I’ve ever loved anyone as much as he loved Lucy ^^; But when I try to put myself in his shoes… I don’t know, I just don’t think I have quite that same drive for revenge. I’d probably focus on getting Johanna back, and if the opportunity happened to arise to get revenge on the Judge, well… if I even did that much, though, I think it would haunt me ^^; And I doubt I would ever marry again, Mrs. Lovett or no XD
As for her… I think what she did—lying about Lucy—was wrong. I don’t really believe in lying to people I love, even if the truth is horrible—and letting him believe his wife committed suicide was pretty horrible, too ^^; Plus, if she ‘really’ believed Lucy was no threat to her in that state, she should’ve just told him… ‘But’, even if it’s against my morals, would I have really not done the same thing in her situation? I just don’t know ^^; Although… *morbid grin* If I were a meat pie maker already accustomed to the idea of cutting up pet cats and dead animals from the gutter, I wouldn’t be surprised if the idea of putting human meat in pies eventually occurred to me biggrin

I can definitely can see where Sweeney is coming from...I mean, Judge Turpin raped his wife, and took his daughter Johanna? After 15 years in prison for something he didn't do? Oh man, he's dead already as far as I'm concerned.
"Practice on less honorable throats" though? I don't think I could. D: I'd direct all my rage towards Turpin...and the Beadle too maybe.
If I were Mrs. Lovett, I would have told him that Lucy took the poison--and became a half-crazed beggar woman that roams the streets of London. Hey, honesty is the best policy is it not? At least I wouldn't have wound up in the oven. >>;
Also, I would have been all for taking Pirelli's body to some secret place and burying him. No human meat pies for me kthnx.>><< Welcome to the grave...

Yes, well, I would probably not go insane and kill just random people, but they had to make pies, so I guess I actually do agree with sweeney =)

pushing ms. Lovett into the fire was a bit much.
she was like my favorite charictor.
he should have probobally stuck with the evil guys instead of killing the inocent ones.

I think she deserved it more than any of them. She was a self-perpetuating liar. Liar, liar pants on fire! Only in this case it was more like face on fire...but it's the same thing, really...

I might have done it, I mean. If my wife and child, was taken away from me, and I was send out on the ocean, and then miraculously came back and find out that my wife had comitted suicide, I wouldn't be the happiest person on the earth...

You know, I probably would have gone insane too so God only knows what I would have done. Killing people, maybe. Becoming a cannibal, most definitely.
Plus if vowed to kill people until I got my hands on a certain person and then I found out I would never be able to kill that person, I'd go crazy. But thats just me...

Personally, I think he was sane. I mean the whole meat pies idea was Mrs Lovett's not his so you know...and I mean if my family was ripped from because I was falsely accused of whatever it was. I would be royaly pissed actually. And would want revenge def.
