Ari knew he would have changed so much about how he had raised Sigal, and how he had neglected the tribe by choosing to care for her by himself. But would he have changed having his children?
Thankfully, Kazuki answered for him, before Ari could think too deeply on the subject. The breeding had been forced, after all, and the circumstances were different. He had had no choice. But this pair, they would not be able to have any children without the blessing of himself, Kazuki, and the elder of Orion's tribe. Hardly the same circumstances at all.
He listened to Orion's statement, and spoke nearly as soon as the other had finished.
"Those problems precisely why a blessing is required in the first place. Yes, they can occur between members of the same tribe. However, those problems tend to be smaller in scale, and more easily dealt with, from similarity and necessity. If you spend your entire life working around someone, you will not let your personal troubles get in the way of your duties too much; you realize how important it is to work together as a team. And if you are forced to work together, you can more easily come to an understanding of the problem, and the reason for the other's position concerning it.
"Furthermore, similarities help keep intra-tribe relationships strong. Similar personalities, similar routines, similar beliefs. Tell me, Orion: what Higher Being does your tribe worship? Is it one as cold and distant and reserved as the Moon Fox? Can you stand the thought that the one you wish to be your mate has dedicated herself to such a being? That she is protected by such a being? Should the Moon Fox even care to intervene were she in trouble, that is. Can you stand the thought that perhaps some, or perhaps all, of the children you may have might dedicate themselves to such a being? That your children would be protected by such a being?
"And this still does not address the issue: were you to have kits, how would you take care of them? How would you explain to them why their mother and father live in separate places, why they must split their time between the two of you, rather than spending all of their time with both?"
Ari stood fixedly, head slightly lowered so that his gaze fixed on Orion, waiting to hear what the answer would be. It seemed that the questioning had gotten sidetracked onto the topic of potential kits. Let it, then. If his point about the differing tribal beliefs did not bring it back to the main topic, then he could force the conversation back on track later on.
The pair were obstinate and persistent; it seemed he would not be getting his sleep anytime soon.

Orion carefully listened to all that Ari had to say before speaking again. "I have learned a little about the Moon Fox. For I had heard about the Lunarie tribe before and had even thought about coming here to possibly join your tribe. As far as my beliefs go, my tribe worships multiple higher beings. One in particular has some similarities to the Moon Fox in being distant and reserved."
Orion paused and thought about his beliefs and those of his love for a moment. "I respect Yudoku's beliefs and dedication to the Moon Fox. I would not want her or any potential kits of ours to change their beliefs. I would accept her and them for who they are and what they believe. But as for personality and routines, I have noticed that Yudoku and I are very similar. And in the ways that we are different we seem to compliment each other," he added the last part as a sort of side note.
"In answer to the latter questions...If we ever did have kits and I had to be away for a period of time because of my hunting duties, my sister is a carer and could care for them in the short amount of time that I was gone. I also have experience in raising kits for I had to take care of my younger sister ever since she was born after our parents left us." Orion began to think of how much better it would have been had his parents stayed in his life even if he couldn't see them both all the time. He would have much rather had to split up time between them than not having them at all. But he knew Yudoku had already brought up that point so decided not to bring it up again and instead changedthe subject slightly.
"I am here asking for your permission to be joined in a bond with Yudoku; even if we never have kits. I love her and I am here for her, and it is her who I want. Your blessing is important to me and even though I love Yudoku and want more than anything to be her mate, I also feel that I cannot go on without knowing that I have your blessing to love her."
((I thought the sun was about to set?? lol I think that is what it said in Kazuki's first post. But oh well))

(Ok, let's stop with the whole time confusion thing please, lol. Whether if we started before sun-down or not, it would be dark by this point anyway. XD; Ok, I'll throw in a mini post here.)
Yudoku looked up at Orion gratefully as he spoke. This conversation was becoming quite draining by this point. She felt bad for making her love endure all of this. If she had had any idea of how hard the two elders would be on them she might have first approached them alone, if only to take the brunt of their verbal attacks.
At the mention of the Moon Fox, Yudoku cast her eyes upward at the night sky above them. She might have attempted to pray silently to him were it not for the fact that only the elders could talk to the higher beings. The vixen cast her gaze back down towards the ground while waiting for the elders responses. Would their be any hope for them by this point? Things were looking rather grim. Perhaps we should have spoken to his elder first... she thought silently to herself, the tip of her tail swishing ever so slightly.

((Yudoku and Orion have failed to prove that they will be good parents. Therefore, Ari and Kazuki do not give their blessing to this couple. This RP is finished.))
