I'm not sure any of the other books in the series were quite as good as Ender's Game.

My dad gave me Ender's Game for my birthday a week or two ago, and I finished in about two days. I absolutely LOVED it, and in fact, I just now picked up Speaker for the Dead from my library. I can't wait to read it and the rest of the books in the series. It was so sad what they put Ender through, though. *sigh* Poor kid.

I read Ender's Game for school my sophomore year in high school and loved it so I read the rest of the series and I own all of it now. I have to say I actually enjoy the shadow books more, their the story of bean and they take place between enders game and speaker for the dead. I think they are a lot more enjoyable.

I've read enders game it was awsome but I liked the bean seris better than the speaker for the dead it was less philosophical.

I love the philosophical nature of Ender's Game. It really taught me a lot about human nature. It's one of my favorite sci-fi books (usually I'm more into fantasy)

I got it for free in the 7th grade. Only until later did I realize there was more. (when my friend was reading speaker for the dead. I then proceeded to read every single book in the seris before he could finish it. What can I say it's a page turner.)

I loved all the books from the Ender's Game series, but once I get to Children of the Mind I just can't go on! I always get lost about halfway through, no matter how hard I concentrate.

My favorites though, were definitely the Shadow series. I love Bean's sense of humour, and I love Petra's tough-girl-ness. It is definitely different than the other series though.

Also by Orson Scott Card: I enjoyed the Alvin Maker series. It's a little difficult to find. It's a lot different than both the other book series as well. Mr. Card totally changes his style of writing for the first books too, he does a really great job of... rusticating? his style that makes it enjoyable. I laughed out loud alot too XD

since I last posted...nearly a year ago I got the "Ender in Exile" which was not bad but still annoying since it takes place inbetween chapters of "Ender's Game" There's also an Ender's Encyclepedia now out in hardcover. Might buy that at some point. Would like to see another book in Bean's life post Shadow of the Giant.

I'd have to day, I'm also unsure about Ender in Exile. While it does tie things together, and clear some things up, I think it relies too heavily on the Shadow series to really stand alone. However, reading it has inspired me to revisit Bean and his adventures.
