"Oh. Ok. That's good-"
Twilight stopped in mid-sentence, feeling increasing pressure from the kits. It can't be. Not now. Not this soon.
Giving a pleading look to her father, she also turned to Amor and gave the same look. Would Ari understand? What was she suppose to do now?
Amor was right for some strange reason. She was about to give birth, even if they found out she was pregnant a couple days before. And he was as clueless as to what to do.
"Adora help us..." He muttered and tried to pry Twilight away from her father. "Sorry, but we really have to leave now..." He hastily explained.

"What is it?" Ari asked, worried. It was easy enough to tell something important was happening, but he couldn't figure out.
Unless...
No, it was too soon for that!
Wasn't it?

Amor glared at Ari, intentionally or unintentionally. "Haven't you've seen a laboring mother? Your grandkits are going to come very soon and we have to leave. Now."
He continued dragging his mate away, not caring about Ari's reaction at the moment.
Twilight thought that Amor's response wasn't very nice, but he'll make it up later. For now, she had to get somewhere safe and sheltered.
"Amor... Dad..." She whispered, the pain almost at its peak.
((I'll just skip the birthing scene when we get there. O_o))

Ari hadn't, actually. He hadn't been around when Heartbreak gave birth to his two eldest daughters, hadn't been around when his younger children were born (although he supposed there was a very different process there).
Ari paced back and forth, not trying to stop them now. Amor seemed to have a better grasp of everything than Ari did, despite how much younger the other elder was.
"You had better take good care of her during this," Ari threatened, worried about Twilight. She seemed to be in so much pain...
And there was nothing he could do about it.

The closest safe place that Amor could find was a hopefully abandoned cave, and he wasted no time dragging his mate into there. Laying down a comfortable pile of leaves and sand, he set her down on the makeshift bed and glanced out at the old worrywart pacing outside.
"If you want to make youself useful then go get some water." He said to him, not wanting to leave Twilight's side.

Ari ran off to find the nearest lake. Once he got there, though, he realized he had no way to carry the water.
Not good, not good...Ari paced restlessly along the shore, trying to think of what he could do. Something hidden underneath a half bare bush caught his attention, and he pawed at it, pulling it out. It was a bucket, that looked old, and had a hole near the top. That was probably why the humans had left it.
He didn't care, though. He quickly dipped the bucket into the water, trying to get as much as he could, and then he hurried back to where his daughter and son-in-law were.

Amor saw Ari coming back, with a bucket of water. It didn't have much in it, but he can't be picky at a time like this. Snatching the bucket from him, he set it by Twilight's side and gently tried to pry her mouth open.
"Come on. Drink. It'll make you feel better."
Twilight shook her head, her blurry vision making out a bucket of water, Amor, and her dad.
Before she could say anything else, she let out a shriek of pain and almost fell unconscious.
"They're here."
"They're what?" He repeated. Amor couldn't see any kits by Twilight, but it was dark in the cave, so barely anyone could've told.
"BCRs... We need the BCRs to put the kits in. But where? How?"
He turned to Ari, thinking that he had more experience after dealing with two batches of kits.
((I'm pretty sure Modifoxes shove kits into BCRs after they're born. <<>>; ))

((I kind of went with 'magic'. Like how Ari and Kazuki could have kids, too.))
He didn't know what to do about BCRs. He hadn't been around for any birthing--he hadn't even seen his children in BCRs until that one night with Kazuki.
Ari paced the cave, trying to think what to do, when his paw hit against something cold and metallic sounding. He picked it up, and found it was a BCR. But it was split neatly in half. Had there been a kit in there once? Or did foxes find them like this, and then place kits in them?
He had no idea. He managed to find a few more, though, and shoved them over to Amor.
"Maybe this was an old birthing cave...?" he suggested.
He didn't really care how they got there, though, as long as they could be used.

"Really old birthing cave. There's no remaining presence of kits or mothers in here except these BCRs."
Taking them from Ari, Amor worked to put the kits into them in the dark. He couldn't see any markings, nor their genders, and didn't care. When the kits were ready to show themselves to the world, they'll hatch out.
Twilight opened her eyes to the four BCRs laid out in front of her. Smiling weakly, she crawled over to Amor and kissed his cheek.
"They're so beautiful..."

Ari was torn between staying, and keeping an eye on his daughter, and leaving, as it was obvious the couple was having a 'moment'.
"How are you feeling?" he finally asked Twilight. This was the first birthing he had seen, and now his first grandchildren were here, and he had no idea what he was supposed to do next. He finally decided that if the pair wanted some time alone, they would tell him.

"Aching... hurting... weak... but I'm still perfectly happy." Twilight rested her head on Amor's shoulders, staring at the small BCRs. She just wanted to stay in here for a while, with all three (or seven) of them.
"I think mom still has mine and Sigal's BCRs... for whatever reason..." She laughed feebly.

Ari wanted to curl around his daughter, and help heal her with his recently discovered powers. But Amor was already with her, and it seemed all elders had these powers in common.
Ari felt a slight twinge of...regret? jealousy? that he wasn't the one to be helping his daughter recover.
"Really?" Admittedly, he hardly knew the mother of his two eldest daughters, but she didn't seem much like the sentimental type to Ari. And he couldn't think of any reason other than sentimentality to keep those around.
Ari hesitated before speaking again. But Twilight was a mother now, and maybe she would have some idea of how he felt.
"Maybe I'll look at them sometime, if she'll let me. I never did get a chance to see either of you in your BCRs..."
Moon Fox, where the time went! Here he was, still thinking of Sigal and Twilight as his 'two little girls', and yet here Twilight was, now with children of her own.

"You never saw us in our BCRs?" Twilight exclaimed, looking up at Ari. She didn't have any idea how much Heartbreak and him were separated, even when they discovered that they had kids.
She had forgotten how the reunion went with the dysfunctional family of their, but now she remembered clearly. Except Amor wasn't there, technically. He was lounging around in some other place at that time.
It seemed like yesterday. And now here she is, with more kids to add onto the family tree.
"... Well if we get another family reunion, I can try to convinve mom to bring them...

"I didn't see either of you until you were both at least a few days out of your BCRs." He hadn't realized that until after seeing his younger children hatch, though. He was sure he had never seen Sigal that small, or helpless. The five of them had barely been able to walk when they had first hatched.
Ari shook his head, bringing his mind back to the present.
"That would be nice. And you and Sigal could meet your half-siblings, too."
It would probably be even more chaos than the last reunion, but there really wasn't any other way to get the whole family in one place at one time.
"Although, maybe it would be best to not have it until your children are a bit older..." Ari amended.
