Kurogane glared at the mage as he made him sit back down. He huffed to himself before looking away from the mage, staring out at their surroundings.
He didn't like being this weak, especially when it made the mage tell him what to do. He had lost a whole lot more blood than this before. He was a ninja for god's sake. Another huff escaped his maw as he looked back toward the mage.
" So whats our next step then. We can't keep wandering around without some kind of 'home.' I'm sure this world has seasons and everything 'fun' that follows those..."
Awfully chatty, eh?

The glare went ignored, as ussual. Fai withdrew his arm, crossing them in front of him as his wings settled behind him. It was his own doing, and he'd make sure the other didn't overstrain himself. Even if it meant being somewhat bossy.
With head tilted up to the tree leaves, Fai just sat back in silence. All was quite, except for the ninja's habitual huffing. Thoughts drifted to the last world, and all that happened there. He could still...feel the weight of that blade in his hand. Brows furrowed at that memory. Blessed be that princess, knowing how to prevent it from growing worse.
A sigh escaped the mage and he dropped his head back down to stare dully at the other. "A 'home'?" One pawed finger pointed to the left. "There is a cabin, some miles out in that direction." He blinked at Kurogane's word choice. He must have lost alot of blood.

Truth be told, the ninja just wanted a place to rest. A place that was a bit more covered and well a bit more safe than just sitting out in the middle of a forest. The faster he got to rest, the faster they could move on, and the faster he could stop being so damned weak.
Another huff and the ninja got up again, his blood stained wings spreading out for a bit more balance, as well as to keep the mage off until he got his footing. He didn't need the mage to push him down again if he could actually make it this way. It wasn't too far off right?
"Lead the way then. I'd rather not be out in the open..."

This time the chance to stand was given. Stubborn. The blonde kitsu sat back as the other got up, leaning away from the wide spread wings. Once it was a safe guess that Kurogane was balanced, Fai too stood.
With a flick of blue tails, Fai headed forward. "I had said miles..." And now with their energies traded, it would take him just as long as it had taken the mage walking. A good two hours. Ears remained pressed back to hear the progress of the ninja, Fai moving at a slow pace. "So? What did you discover?"

The ninja frowned, staring at his own paws as he walked along, making sure he didn't trip or make a fool out of himself from falling again. What had he discovered? Not to much... " We're not the only ones from other worlds to be placed in this one into these forms." He mused on the thought and nodded. " Seems common actually..." Like it was some sort of limbo between worlds.

Ah yes. He had been told the same thing. One female...Kitsyn was her name. She was from another world as well. Quite common indeed.
Fai closed his eye as he walked, simply listening. Feeling. Too bad he didn't have his white coat, seeing as the season was changing to winter. At least now they had fur, even if it was odd. Blue eye reopened after some time with new considerations. "I wonder how many are like us." Just a thought. Besides, they'd have to find some way to kill time.

Kurogane eyed the mage in front of him. Why was he pondering such weird things? Well not so weird now that the ninja thought about it, it was certainly an interesting thing to find out. It may bring some light to their situation. Maybe find out how to move on or even contact the time witch.
The ninja huffed, keeping track of his pace again as he spoke. "Would probably help us find out how to get back to where we need to go." HE was starting to feel better, his stomach was settling and his head was slowly stopping to spin, his pace slowly quickening up to his normal pace. This made the ninja happy, and a slight smirk crossed his face.

How much weirder could they get? Fai shook his head, unable to see but feeling the stare from the ninja behind him. And speaking of light to situation....
Whte tipped tails gave faint swishes as they continued walking. Ever since Fai recovered his strength, he'd been able to recall everything of Infinity. As if the blood was the memory itself, sucked back into his thoughts. Ears pinned back to Kurogane's comment, his black eyepatch strap adjusting to the long furry ears. He was listening more to tone of words than words themselves. So...Kuro was recovering at a healthy rate. Maybe he'd be well by the time they made it to the cabin. It couldn't be far now. "Where we need to go...." The mage stopped his walking to peer darkly at Kurogane. The ninja knew all along of this mistaken world...that they were meant to head for Celes. And yet he didn't say a thing. Neither did the mage as he turned forward once more to keep walking.

Kurogane raised a brow curiously as he felt the mage pause in his steps. He didn't need to see the mage in order to feel the glare that was getting stabbed into his back. The ninja huffed, wondering what he had done this time. What could the mage be pissed about again, besides the many obvious things that had happened in the last few worlds.
Kurogane frowned. Was that it?
"What are you mad about this time..." he continued to walk, inwardly hoping they were close to the cabin.

Hmmm, to ignore or not ignore? That was always the call in this game of cat and mouse it seemed. Fai added a meaningless skip to his pace, flinging Kurogane a half-plastered smile. "Hmm? You didn't bother to attack me back." How considerate and cruel of the ninja. He'd have been better off defending himself, and teaching the mage some discipline to his mistakes. Too many to count...but hopefully enough to meet his end. Again, they both would have gotten what they wanted, if only Kurogane didn't hold back. Fai sighed to himself dramatically, shaking his head. And yet, he was too cowardly to finish it all himself.
His gaze pulled off to a slant, imagining to see the cabin just beyond the thick trees. But who knew, it could just be more trees. Blue wings adjusted and pulled close to his slim frame, hesitating on which direction to go.

Attack him back? Kurogane barely paused in his steps, a mere flinch in confusion. But the confusion soon turned to frustration as he continued walking. Had Fai attacked him in such a way in hopes that the ninja would have fought back? The damned mage was still trying to get himself killed.
A low growl rumbled deep in the ninja's throat. Even though he was pissed off about the question, he couldn't help but wonder why himself. Why hadn't he attacked back or even defended himself. It wasn't like he wasn't stronger than the mage. But he knew perfectly well why. He had been caught off guard, the damned mage had actually surprised him and because of that, the ninja didn't really fight back.
Kurogane frowned. He had all the answers and yet couldn't say them. Probably his ego.
" Tch." So he kept walking.

It was assumed no words would be given back. It could be called a victory for Fai, but it was hardly worth a point. So the mage walked on, as if that topic had been nothing but a batch of leaves to step over. His skip was still present, and even he didn't know how. A mechanical action, maybe.
Sky blue eye widened slightly and he slowed his pace to a stop. So, there it was, the headquarters of the Mountain area. And he had only just left this location recently. Fai smirked to the thought, and sat back on his haunches to glance back at Kurogane. "There you go. Best part is there are many rooms to rest in." No more cramped spaces or limited sleeping areas. Hair as pale as his face slid across his good eye, and the mage had to tilt his head to get better view. "I'll keep first watch today." Or evening, whichever it could be called.

Kurogane frowned deeply at himself as he continued to walk on. He hated the idea of him being fazed by this mage, and hated the fact that the mage still wanted to kill himself, and hated the fact that the damned mage was skipping. He had the idea to say something snarky at the mage at that moment, but his comments were caught in his throat as they finally caught sight of their destination.
The ninja blinked at it, confused with its size having had the image of a cabin rather than a headquarters in his mind. Finally he could rest, their argument would have to wait for later yet again it seemed. Fine the mage could have first watch while he got his strength back.
" That's fine..." He walked up beside the mage, keeping his narrowed, blood red eyes glued on the building in front of them, his wings folding down to his sides finally. " Do we just go in then?"

Fai's cheeks had long grown tired of plastered on smiles, and so the one he had fit on was soon to slip back off. There was simply to mush to think about, yet no way to get them done. Without Mokona, they were stranded. The only good that had happened so far was no language barrier. But when had that ever been of any real use? They had managed without it before in Yama. But things were.....way simpler back then.
Fai flattened his ears to memories that seemed years ago. Amazing how things could be changed in the blink of an eye. Literally. The mage leaned back as Kurogane adjusted his wings, keeping to looking at the cabin/HQ. Black shirt collar ruffled as he nodded to the ninja's question. "Seems so, just think of it as a hotel. With kitchen and all." This was their best option as far as shelter went, perhaps their only one.

Kurogane huffed as he pushed his body to move forward. He came to realize that pausing at that moment had been a bad idea. His body seemed keen to rest now and complained all the more now that he was on the move again.
The ninja huffed angrily as he muttered, " Lets just get a room already..." He hated feeling this weak and he especially hated not having the energy to 'fight' with Fai. The damned mage was testing his temper again and he just didnt have the energy for it
