Personality: Tanuki is a gregarous, jovial soquili. He is laid back, friendly, and while he's a little rough around the edges, he means well. Tanuki is a lot like the Goshi (country samurai) - laid back, fond of sake, a little crass in his speach, but with a noble code of honor and family history. He is very in touch with the land and other more common (less dignified in the eyes of some other noble soquili) knowledges like agriculture and woodsmanship. Tanuki can be a bit of a trickster, but not at all like Kumiho. His pranks are to teach or otherwise benign or amusing. He thinks that many soquili take themselves too seriously and need to learn to lighten up and laugh at life and themselves.
Tanuki is also bit of a hedonist - fond of good food, good alcohol, and can be a bit of a womanizer - but never with any kind of harmful intent. He's charming in the same way an old man is (though he's not THAT old) - laid back, not caring what other people think about him, not judgmental unless it comes to serious issues (such as others that mean harm to another).
History: Tanuki arrived in these lands at the same time Ryujin and a few other of his Japanese bretheren did. He was interested to see these new lands and see what he could both learn and teach. After all, it was sad to think of a land that had not yet benefited from a "Tanuki's luck and wisdom".

Personality: Gavin is a total softie. Unlike some usdias with little-horse syndrome, Gavin is totally aware of just how small he is, and because of it, he's rather timid. He's interested in animals of all sorts - and likes to watch nature around him - from moths to bunnies, although he's a bit intimidated by the bigger soquili. However, Gavin is quite bright and charming. He loooves attention and affection from the two-legs, and anyone he meets he assumes is a potential friend. He loves rolling around in the grass and frolicking around.
History: Gavin and Piggy were part of a small herd of Usdias. (From the Sugar Rush Event): DD Nutters, much like her twin, Butters, is very competitive. The only chocolate she will eat is white and she has a distaste for other kinds of chocolate. Even her little pet chocolate dragon is picky and will only eat red M&Ms! Almost equal to her desires for the pale chocolates she has a love of dice games. Nutters likes nothing better than to challenge another racer to a game that is more than just speed and her streak of good luck has not been broken.
FURTHERMORE, DD Nutters is a total Nut for D&D. She jokes that that's what the D"s in her name stand for. It is her favorite game, and she loves to play with her sister and any other soquili she can rope into playing. She's a total nerd and loves fantasy, role playing, even more than racing. She's not the fastest on the track, but she's lucky, clever, and keeps a positive attitude. She prefers playing over running, and is known for her epic dice rolls. She promises *cough* that she never uses her minicorn magic to influence the numbers.
She gets along wonderfully with her sister, DD Butters, and they are "BROS (Sis's) 4 LIFE".
History: DD Nutters, and her twin sister, DD Butters have always been close. They role play together, they race together, and they have rarely been very far from each other. When one gets excited about something, she often lures her sister in as well. They often role played together growing up, and have tested their mettle in the racing track.

Personality: Aleister has a bright mind and an eagerness to learn everything he can about the world. He is clever, curious, sharp-witted but ultimately responsible. He thoroughly researches anything before doing any kind of experiment. And if covering new ground, takes all precautions he can think of before experimentation, to the point of neuroticism. While he does hope to help and educate others, his primary goal is knowledge itself. He can be a little tightly-wound or anxious, especially when his brother is involved, who is a cavalier risk-taker.
History: Aleister and his twin brother, Crowley, were both studious young colts schooled in the alchemical arts from an early age. However, while Crowley frequently put his muzzle into the risky, dangerous, experimental aspects, Aleister was the responsible, sometimes anxious one who frequently found himself having to pull Crowley's tail out of something dangerous.

Familiar: Dusk Whisker - a shadowy mouse who has a penchant for collecting small "treasures" she "borrows" from others- she has a bit of a den that has built up all kinds of trade goods and home accouterments.
Personality: Tenebrosus is a force of personality in a small package. While he is a mini, he carries himself with utmost seriousness and self-respect, considering himself a Lord of Shadows. He uses his words carefully, while not often speaking at great lengths, when he does his voice is soft, soothing, velvety and surprisingly deep for his small size. He likes to maintain a mysterious but regal air, generally keeping to dark locations where he blends in quite well with the shadows. He generally observes more than participates, but when he is stirred to action, he can be almost showy - dramatically unfurling his wings and peacock-like tail. If another soquili doesn't give him the respect he feels he deserves, he does not take it as a slight against himself, merely a show of stupidity or ignorance on the side of the other, and he has little patience for such uncultured creatures.
History: Tenebrosus traveled with the infamous traveling Day & Night Carousel Caravan for some time with his brethren and opposites. While not as extroverted as many of the herd, he did enjoy learning and seeing different parts of the land, and strange visitors that visited and sometimes came to stay.

Personality: Glamour is a sprightly, mischievous Seathi. While elusive, she has a highly imaginative personality and enjoys tricking others. However, her tricks are always harmless, and intended to humor or lighten someone up. She loves stories, the more fantastic the better. While she can be a bit shy when dealing with others directly, she will often watch and listen to others from out of sight, or, if her trust is gained, she can actually be rather talkative. Personality: Coral Beauty is a playful, inquisitive mare with a love of all things colorful. She makes her home in a living coral reef where she can watch the myriad colorful fishes and array of coral and anemones. Her cave home that she shares with her twin sister is under the corals is a bit of a tight squeeze for the large mare, but opens up into a chamber where they keep their collection of trinkets - pieces of broken glass from a shipwreck, colorful shells, any anything else that has caught her eye. She is adventuorus, believing that luckiness runs in her blood, and so far she HAS been fortunate not to have gotten herself into any serious trouble that she hasn't gotten out of. When she is together with her sister, Lucky Charm, she believes that that luck grows exponentially, and together, there is nothing the two of them can't do.
History: Coral Beauty and her sister, Lucky Charm, have been all but inseperable since birth, going on adventures and sharing the wonders of the world together in a way that only twins can understand.

Personality: Opal is quiet and mysterious often bearing a beguilling smile. She speaks softly and demurely, however there is a glisten in her eyes that seems to indicate that she is not the innocent that she may pretend to be. Opal, as a matter of fact, takes more after the legends of the sea sirens than the playful, benevolent mermaids. While beautiful and exotic, there is a dangerous edge to the mer-soquili. She knows that she is beautiful and will use her charms and beauty to lure an unsuspecting stallion - or man who perhaps wishes to tame such a lovely mare - close.
Opal is particuarly entertained by the newly-discovered realm of land where there exists soquili and men who are unable to breathe under the water. She has no love for the air-breathers who are unknowledgable in the rich beauties of the undersea. She lures them like an embodiment of the beautiful, mysterious ocean itelf - but is every bit as capricious and fickle, and dangerous as the waters that bore her. She may very well try to drown one who reaches out for the exotic beauty- or if she finds herself in danger, strike out with sharp fins and hooves.
Among her own kind, Opal is less outright devious. But, she knows herself to be the proverbial jewel of the sea. She acts shy and innocent, especially to the stallions, but truthfully just seeks to wrap them around her fins. She knows that charm can get her quite far - especially in the form of trusting, naieve and strong stallions and beautiful gifts. Opal is quite vain. She is not fond at all of other sea-mares, viewing them as competition at best, or intolerably naieve at worst - or the mer-people. And even to the stallions, Opal is not likely one to stick around for very long. Once she gets all she thinks she can from a stallion, or if she begins to grow bored, she will move on.
Opal keeps any personal information private. She does not like to talk about her self beyond surface matters. She wants to remain mysterious and does not want to give any the opportunity to get in her head. If pressed, she will like create some sort of fabricated story.
History: Opal never knew her father, but then, her mother was very much like herself - manipulative, beautiful and vain. She grew up with a view on males that they were physically strong, but easily blinded by beauty and could be manipulated with a practiced look and turn of the head. Without a father figure, and with the guidence of her strong-willed mother, Opal has very little respect for men other than what she can get out of them - be it gifts or a bit of entertainment. Her mother also influenced her strong will and vow to remain unbroken by the hands of men. She learned from a young age by the example of her mother just what such charms could get her - and even assisted in her mother's games to lead on an idealistic stallion by feigning weakness and the need for support. She parted ways with her mother when she came of age; while she has no ill will towards her mother, that section of sea was too small for two such mares.

Familiar: Deneb, an stoic and steadfast lobster whose tough outer shell hides a bit of a soft-heart who wants to help others.
Personality: Algedi sets high standards for himself and others. In his methodical, tough, stubborn, unyielding way, he persists against personal hardship. He puts the ones he calls family before his own needs and to help them reach their objectives long after they may have have given up and fallen by the wayside. Algedi, however, also can be wary and cautious around soquili he do not know very well, preferring not to meddle with others and in turn does not allow interference with his own thoughts and feelings. Algedi has an enormous admiration for those who have paved the way to similar goals of his own. While he will help the others behind him with quiet advice (that can be bluntly honest and critical) but will not accept their defeats as his own.
Algedi can be stubborn and ambitious. He puts goals and reason above emotion, restraining such frivolous feeling.
