All Raleigh wanted right now was to have a really good sleep, but there was no time for that. He clutched at the man who was practically dragging him along, his mind yelling at his feet to pay attention and work properly.
When they were finally in the house and up the stares Raleigh pushed himself away from whoever it was and sunk wearily to the ground. He’d pushed himself a little too far this time, burning himself out before he could even come close to hurting Flood. The whole scene had been an embarrassment. So stupid, over-reaching himself.
Taking in a deep breath he leaned back on his heels and glanced up at his saviour. “Who are you?” No thanks, just a rather cold demand.

"I'm Gary," the man huffed. "Geez, no need to be SO ungrateful. I just saved your a**, you know!" he fumed. "I was just about to offer you something to eat or whatever but if you're that damn ungrateful..." Gary glared at Raleigh, not pleased by his attitude.

Not being in the best of moods, Raleigh glared back. He hated failure and standing right beside him was the man who had had helped him, dragging him away from a battle he couldn’t win. Opening his mouth to reply, Raleigh shut it again abruptly and took in a deep breath.
“Sorry… Gary. Thanks, for the help.”

Gary nodded his head in acceptance and then hurried off to the kitchen to find something to eat and drink for Raleigh. He assumed the young superhero was quite exhausted. But he didn't know WHAT he had been thinking, trying to take on Flood without Tide. Tisk.
((Hmm, not much happening, I think. Do you want to make the closing post? We can set you up with a new mission then.))
