O.O cuz i never knew. i never even figured him for that but its all gravy now.. heart heart first of all, wow. You have a great relationship with your dad. If I ever told my dad anything I that did- he would berate me and put me down and tell me I would burn in the lake of fire (which he has- because he's accused me of many things that are "immoral" that I didn't even do). The only parent I can talk to at a semi-healthy level is my mom, and I can't even tell her some things because she'll scold me as well. Although I realized one day that my mom... well- likes the herb. She didn't tell me- I simply figured it out anyway, you should feel grateful for being blessed with a wonderful dad. you're incredibly lucky. heart heart heart

MediaclCunt hippiefoRk I am going to be cool like that with my kids. Me,too, but, I'm gonna have to hide that from my boyfriend. He thinks all drugs bring negativity and threatened to break up with me because I smoked. I just won't ******** tell him. It'll be our little secret. Between me and the kids. I never run into that problem. Of course I only date people that look like Led Zeppelin members, so yeah. I've had Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones and I've seen Robert Plant around... he may be my next victim. Right now though, I found a neato guy that looks like John Lennon and he's sweet as hell. Anyway, so yeah, I typically only date people that give me the stoner vibe. But yeah, coolness to the being cool with kids. I think that's such a great idea to be like all bond-y with kids. So long as it's not a lame sort of bonding.

It would be weird to do that with anyone in my family. Then again, no one in my family knows I smoke. Except my step brother and my step dad/ And my mom thinks I have only done it three times and have since stopped. XD
I have never smoked WITH a friend's parents. But one of my friends, her mom smokes a lot of the ganja, I'll probably smoke with her one day, but, I haven't yet.

Niether one of my parents smoke anymore they stopped when I was a lil one. When the subject came up I told them I do it and they just said they couldnt condone me doing it but couldnt fault me either because they have done it. I did have a few friends in highschool that their parents smoked so we could go and smoke with them. It was soo much easier then to get it than it is now. I miss those days, oh well when I think my daughter is about 12-13 Ill let her know that I smoke and if she ever wants to try it then she should come talk to me about it. I hope she will but I wont make her as long as she doesnt do the stupid s**t I used to do and it will be all okay

Being too stoned to function at school, for example, is a no-no... for one thing, you're paying for your kid's education (at least with taxes, if it's public school), so it'd be only fair if the kid gave a little effort, too. Plus... well, dude. Waste of good bud? Hello? Sheesh! rofl Anyway, but it seems to me at least that part of reinforcing the idea that one can balance responsibilities with fun is setting an example. So if the kid sees that you can have a career and a family but smoke out here and there, they'd be more likely to be not only more responsible about it, but also more open with you about their activities. Just my opinion, though. ^_~

My mom is real cool. She is open to everything me and myfriends talk about. She knows that I have sex and doesn't care aslong aslong I use protection. She would prefer I didn't smoke because of the legal ramifications, but she doesn't care aslong as I don't get in trouble for it, or let it interfere with my school work. She'll also buy me and my friends booze (if we give her the money) aslong as we don't get totally shitfaced or tell anybody. And her and my grandma are buying me a VW Vanagon.
She let's me, my sister, and our friends get away with a lot, but she's doesn't let us go totally crazy. I think she's found the right balence between friend and parent.

My dad was an old hippy so he was really cool about it, he even told me that I probably wouldn't feel anything the first couple times I tried it. Sadly I never got a chance to smoke with him though, he passed away 5 years ago. I wish we could have gotten high together once... wink
My mom, I've never told her I do (so glad I'm moved out on my own) but I know she knows...would she ever smoke with me, no way. But if she wanted to, I would. As for future kids.....I don't know. Make them get high as a kite and force them to listen to Tales from Topographic Oceans all the way through with me... biggrin ....just kidding...

My mother is a complete liberal, she's into gay rights, Obama and hippies [she was a 'dove', excuse me^^] but she never fell in with the weed scene of the 70's. At least that's what she tells me. I live with her right now, as well as my half sister who's old enough to have two sons who are my age.
As for smoking with parents, my mom still doesn't smoke and is either blissfully unaware of my past time or figures she can just ignore it and it will go away. But my adult sister, her husband, and her younger son all go out to the garage and toke it up at least five times a day, with me in toe of course. When we're all together that is. Sometimes we get stoned while the others are driving to the store, or any number of places really, but it's never been awkward save for the first time I found my ADULT SISTER reeking of some fine cannabis! After that things just naturally fell into place.
And I think the time in the garage is the time I cherish most about this last year of highschool. We talk about everything out there, life, the weather, sex, friends, and we're honest. It's almost like because we're doing that together, we can do anything, talk about anything, just completely be ourselves... I wouldn't trade it for the world, and I wish my mom were cool enough to just try it once, though she's almost sixty and probably never will. sad

I smoked a joint with my Mum last Friday.
She out of the blue pulled out a stash tin with a lump of hash in and rolled one up and asked if I minded her smoking it in front of me.
Just said sure, as long as you share it biggrin
