This was more difficult than he originally thought. The strain of keeping balance while remembering when and how to flap, it wasn't second nature yet. Still, the mage practiced the ability, his blue wings slapping the air as kindly as possible. The view, at least, was worth the effort. Clear skies for miles, and the land was just as empty. Not exactly what they were looking for.
Fai noted a meadow up ahead, and once he passed the trees, so had the ninja below. Ears pinned back further against the wind, just catching Kurogane's question. His blue eye swept across the meadow, and he continued flying in an arch around the tree line marking the empty field. Not a peek of anyone or anything. Frowning to himself, Fai swept his wings back, lowering for a landing. He watched his shade followed under him before he finally trotted along the ground, soon coming to a complete stop. A shake of the head was given to Kurogane. "Not a thing." Not even others like themselves.

Kurogane frowned at Fai's answer, he had hoped that the mage had seen something. However, it seemed like they had a long search on their hands, if the kids and the pork bun were even here. Kurogane frowned at the thought, for it made no real sense, and yet did. The last time they were separated like this, they couldnt understand each other, therefore making it obvious that mokona and the kids weren't in the same world. But this time...
" What if they aren't in this world?"

Fai blinked, smiling while shaking his head. "Don't be silly Kurorin. Otherwise we'd be speaking gibberish." It wasn't like before, where nothing of language was understood. They had to survive by body language alone, and it was hard enough considering it was the middle of a war. But here....maybe it wasn't Mokona? Maybe it was the world itself, it did have some aura of magic.
Either way, he had no doubt in Syaoran's abilities to protect the princess. And if any group needed Mokona more, the young ones would. "Hmm, well then." What to do now? Fai swished his tails, getting used to the feel of them. "So what now, Kuro?"

Kurogane frowned in confusion. Maybe it was indeed the world, they both had been turned into these creatures when they arrived, so it made sense. He huffed in frustration, hating the confusion and the fact that he didnt knowthings for sure. What to do now indeed. Alone time was the perfect time to get some answers, but...
He huffed once more, pushing himself up and padded slowly forward into the meadow, his tails swishing side to side behind him as he moved. He wasn't looking forward to the talks he wanted to start, but it needed to be done. More important, though, what were they going to do now?
" I guess we just keep going until we find others. That or civilization. I can't believe that pork bun landed us so far off again!"

One ear flicked at the huff, but Fai payed no mind. Ruffling his wings, he curved them so they rested neatly at his sides and so he was able to get a clear view around himself. Trotting along the soft grass, he peered lamely around the meadow, finding nothing of interest or even unique standings. It appeared like any other world, just that they were puppies. XD
Moving his pale paws, he moved in step behind the ninja. Now it was basically a game of hide and seek. If the others were even here, that is. A smirk came on his face as Kurogane continued to curse the porkbun. "Trust Mokona to make it exciting. I'm sure we'll run into someone soon enough." And that would help prove if speech was normal and fluent in this world.

" Exciting? Wandering around trying to find the kids who might not even be here, in a world that may not be inhabited? You have an odd sense of 'exciting' mage." He huffed again, continuing to walk and continuing to try and ignore Fai's oddly chipper mood. He never quite understood the mage, and now was no different.
" Mayb ein our search I could get some answers out of you," he muttered. As humans, it wouldn't be heard, between the mummbling and the low tone he had said it in. However, they did have new forms that he kept, amazingly, forgetting about.

"Of course it's exciting! I've never had fur before." Fai glanced down at his own moving paws, seeing they still held the same skin color though. But tails were a different story. His were the same deep blue as his wings, while Kurogane's was the same as his hair. Interesting. His thoughts were swept as he almost trippedd on his dangling belt, kicking it aside. Never did tie that thing, had he?
Fai's single eye went wide for a second, disbelieving what he heard. The mage stopped his treading, glaring as the ninja continued on. His expression soon changed into one that was a puppet's grin, eye closed. "Hyuu, Kuropuu knows I have no answers. I'm as confused as you are."

Kurogane smirked as he heard Fai's steps faulter. He didn't think he had heard him, but knowing he did was, well nice. It was out there and of course the mage played it off. He always did.
He scoffed at Fai's response, turning back to look at him with a soft glare. " Of course you don't." He turned back around and continued walking. He was getting tired of these games, but it was th eonly way Fai new how to 'play' apparently.

"Hmmm." Fai just shrugged away the situation. Of course it always lingered, but he would never of his own will bring it up. It was as mysterious as these wings they were bestowed. And he was just fine with that.
His ears fell to the sides as he continued walking, taking in the scenery. Nothing much else to do. Too bad the children weren't right here, else they could find the feathers all the quicker. And with no other people around, this place was all the more strange. "Kuroriiiin, this is boring now." Fai pouted at the lack of action. No one around to get information from, cept themselves. And they both knew nothing of this world.

Kurogane huffed to himself, trying to ignore the mage's whining. He was bored too, but you didn't see him complaining.
"Then find something to entertain yourself with, that doesn't include pestering me," he added the last part quickly and sighed in annoyance. He had only seen a devious grin appearing on the mage's maw if he hadn't added it. Not that he would listen to him anyways, but at least he said it.
With another huff he kept walking, keeping his gaze forward and his senses perked just in case something decided to surprise them.

Blink blink. Find something? What, go talk to a tree? He wasn't that crazy......maybe. He never knew anymore between mask and truth. And since the ninja had so wisely marked pestering off the list, he was pretty limited. "Hmmm."
Blue gaze went back down to his paws. Left, right, left, right. Left left, right right! His slender wings flapped lightly, giving him a sort of weightless hop to his walk. Soon he was passing by Kurogane, flashing him a grin before continuing with his skip. The meadow was drawing closed, and he had to tilt his head back to peer at the trees. He didn't sense any dangerous enchantments, and so trotted on through carelessly. His motions took a sudden pause though, as if something threatening had caught his sight. Something frightful.

Kurogane huffed in response to Fai's grin, watching him skip off ahead of him. He frowned, wondering what the heck the mage was up to now, pushing his steps into a trot so as to keep up with the mage.
" Mage what are you doing," he grumbled as he caught up with him. He stopped suddenly though as he caught sight of Fai's expression. " What?" He followed Fai's look to see what had caused such a fright int he magician.

What expressions were there to see? Fai turned his head to grin at the ninja. "Just being myself silly." Oh how he loved his eyepatch. Swishing his tails, Fai continued on through the trees. His pace had slowed from a skip to a normal walk, as if that too had bored him. It wasn't what he had seen that made him freeze, it was what he heard. And it made him scowl inwardly to know it came from himself. Damnit, he wasn't hungry. Pale ears tilted back as he weaved around the woods, hoping to catch sight of their younger team mates. The sooner they found them, the better. They could find another feather and continue their quest, giving his mind something eles to think about.

Kurogane frowned and growled silently to himself. Why was the mage so intent on hiding his feelings from him. It really pissed Kurogane off when he would some how catch that second of emotion form the mage, then it was gone before he could even get a word in to point it out. He was really getting tired of this game.
" Are you going to keep hiding behind your masks, or finally talk to me?" He was far beyond done with playing it safe with his companion.

Why was he so persistant? Because he was simply Kurogane, that's why. Fai shook his head, pale locks swaying over his face. He enjoyed the ninja's word choice: masks. But that was all Fai had to live by now. "But I talk to you all the time, Kuropon." Again, his voice was in the sing song play. His wings had stretched from his sides, almost yearning to take flight. Away from interigations. The mage prayed the children were nearby for such purpose.
