Pressed against Ayako, Kitsumi was a quivering ball of fur, her ears completely flat as she gazed up at Saix. "I'msorryI'msorryI'msorry..." This was certainly the first time anyone had seen Kitsumi this frightened. Usually, even if she made Saix mad somehow, she'd just laugh it off. It seemed that she realized that this was probably a lot more serious though.
Kitsumi continued repeating apologizies, until finally, Saix spoke. "-Enough-." His tone was flat, not angry, yet not soothing in any way. "As tempting as it may be, I assume killing you won't solve the fact that what's done, is done." Maybe he did possess some mercy afterall.
"As for explaining to your parents," Saix glanced at Ayako, "I suppose I will, as long as I make this clear. I will -not- be caring for the children. If you want anyone in my household to watch over them for a while, that's fine, but I refuse to take on any responsibilities a father would have."

Ayako patted Kitsumi awkwardly on her back with her free paw; the other was still holding her wand. The kitsusagi was extremely frightened and obviously felt guilty about what she had done. And well, what was done, was already done. She couldn't undo it, although how much she wished to. The anger she had once felt seemed to have disappeared, and Ayako felt more like herself.
Ayako opened her mouth to protest against this, but clamped it shut. She didn't want to argue with him, it seemed rather pointless at this point of time. Besides, the kits would have to know he was their father. It was up to them on whether they wanted to treat him as a father.
"So, would you prefer Side-Along Apparition or using a Portkey? Apparation is rather like Apparating, but it feels like there's heavy pressure on you, like you're being forced through a tube. A Portkey is an object enchanted to bring anyone who touches it to a specific location. I suggest a Portkey...anything I can use for it?"

Kitsumi stopped shivering long enough to raise both brows in question as Ayako spoke. "Side-Along Apparition? Portkey?" She asked, curiousity toning her voice. She glanced at Saix, as if checking if he knew what she was talking about, but the frown on his face showed what she was saying was as much as a foreign language to him, as it was to Kitsumi.
It became clear when Ayako explained them. Wincing at the explanation of the sensation from Apparation, Kitsumi instantly began looking around once Ayako suggested the Portkey. What could Ayako and Saix use?
Finally, her gaze fell on the rollerblades Ayako had stopped, and Kitsumi rose a paw, pointing to them. "You can use my new rollerblades!" It was obvious the new toys were special to Kitsumi, but with her guilt, she wanted to be of some use to the two.
Saix's gaze flickered to Kitsumi as she spoke, before going back to Ayako. "Will that suffice?"

Ayako didn't like the feeling Apparition gave either when she first used it, but she had grown rather used to it. She preferred flying, of course, but they had to transport both her and Saix there. So the only solution was a portkey.
"That will be fine." She drew out her wand and then her gaze flickered towards Kitsumi. "You'll get it back later, when Saix returns. Portkeys travel to the destination along with their users; touching the Portkey again transports the users back to their original location."
"Portus." The rollerblades glowed slightly. "We have to touch it at the count of three. One, two, three." She placed a paw on the Portkey.

Shifting nervously, Kitsumi nodded at Ayako's explaination, and glanced from Saix, to Ayako, and to her rollerblades. "I-it's fine. Um..." The Kitsusagi hesitated, "Take your time and...I really am sorry I'm such a dope, Saix, Ayako." She drooped. "Edgeworth and you, Saix, always did say I was stupid, but I never thought I would mess up, and make Saix get my friend pregnant." She shuffled awkwardly, before offering them a weak smile. "Um, forgive me this once? I know I won't do it again." Well, if she were stupid enough to do it again...
Saix merely glanced at her, before snorting. "Can't say I can really forgive you for this." He commented, earning a wince from Kitsumi, "But as I said, as much as I'd want to, we can't change what's already happened. I already said I wouldn't kill you - don't think on this too much." So maybe he did have a heart. Not literally, of course.
He then turned away, watching as Ayako casted the spell on the rollerblades. Lifting his paw, he silently counted along with her, before pressing his paw against the portkey once they hit the three.

"You didn't mean it."Ayako gave her a reassuring smile, hoping Kitsumi would feel better about it. She laughed awkwardly. "And you're not stupid; you just didn't know the difference between alcohol and tea." Funny that she had been incredulous before that Kitsumi was ignorant about this, but she supposed that it wasn't her fault. Anyway, who would let Kitsumi run about unattended in a kitchen. Babysitters.
She nodded at Saix's words. "We can't turn back time and change this anyway." Actually...now that she thought about it, she could use a Time Turner and go back in time...but something disastrous might happen if they meddled with their past selves. So, she kept her mouth shut on this thought.
As both kitsusagis touched the Portkey, it felt like a hook somewhere behind the navel, tugging them to their location.
