Never tried Oujiboard, so I can't really tell.

Make one, thats what i did, and i use a shot glass for a planchette and it works just fien for me.

I have never heard a good story about playing with one of those. People getting stabbed by the triangular piece, Boards opening themselves back up in the middle of the night and repeatedly moving itself back and forth between "No" and "Goodbye", shoes flying accross rooms.
Yet with all the horrible things I've heard about these things, I've been debating using one. I have a "ghost" friend / guardian angel and I can't honestly think of any other way to communicate with her. Though I wouldn't want to find the wrong spirit, considering spirits seem to use my basement as a spiritual highway at times..

They are dangerous and should never have been created! You can't control what comes in with a Ouija and you can't control it period! They are dangerous and not toys, not even professionals can totally master them and nor should they. Some things should never be....some things should never be used and some things should never be used again.
Ouija Boards are notorious for cause havoc and evil. For allowing evil things to pass into our world and freed. nothing good comes of them and i do not reccommened anyone to EVER use one! In fact i plead with anyone who has one to dispose of it...destroy it, immediately. They are evil tools and should never have been created.... burning_eyes

Spirits channeled through devices are more often than not demons; they are also inundated with the user's subconscious. To accurately use the board, you must have three people: two, at least, to handle the planchette blindfolded, and a third to record the reaction.
EDIT: As Meagan mentioned, they ARE bad things and ought to be destroyed: just don't burn it. That tends to piss off whatever's been channeled. Just break the board and discard it with the planchette. Once it's passed out of your hands completely, and broken, it's harmless to you and anyone else.

i think it's a portal. My aunt played with one when she was a teenager and the spirit that came through killed her guinea pig. A friend and herself saw the guinea pig lift i to the air and it's next twisted then droped back into the cage. I believe that you get good spirits and bad spirits through a ouija board. but it is always safe to have a medium (if you know one) present.

oh, it's a paranormal object, Personally from experience I know it's an evil tool too. At least many tarot reading books advise you not to use them because they can unlock evil spirits who control the messages.

I got one of those for my 12th birthday, i have only used it a couple of times but out of all the times i have used it, i never felt like i was actually talking to any spirits. to be honest the board disappointed me. i still have though, it is boxed up in my closet.

Thats an interesting view on it.
I, however, would strongly recommend against using one at all.
As with using any item of that kind for contacting or communing there comes a definite danger.
And even in the most experienced hand, such a tool can bring horror.
When you use a Ouija Board you open a doorway. And you have no say what comes through that door. You could get the little girl who you think lives in your attic, or you could get a pissed off ghost that you didn't even know was around.
And in a worst case scenario, you could let a dark entity enter through. Which is something that I can assure no one wants.
Like stated before though. I would never use one, and I would strongly urge that no one else does.

The whole idea of a talking board (Ouija is just one type of talking board) is to give spirits a physical object to communicate with the living.
A talking board can act as a portal if you have a type of energy that can attach to something living. "Normal" ghosts cannot, which is why the talking boards require people to have hands on the pointer. A ghost cannot move it by itself, it does not have the strength.
A poltergeist is not a ghost. A poltergeist, or "noisy ghost," is a manifestation of angry or frustrated energy. A poltergeist can do it on its own, but it is a rare occurrence.
There are other types of spirits (sprites, shadow people) that I won't get into. The point is, you don't really know what you're getting. Unless you know what you are doing, it's better to not take chances. The rare time there is a demon lurking on the other side of a talking board is enough to keep me away.
And never, EVER use a talking board alone.

they're real and not just a toy, the bad thing is people use them as toys and really they're much more. some professional ghost hunters use them. demonologists tell you NOT to use them because they're quite dangerous. the thing is you never know who you're really contacting. say you contact something thinking it's your grandmother, the truth is it could be something a lot worse, it gains your trust and can try and manipulate you.
i've had terrible experiences from using them hence why i don't use them anymore and try and encourage others not to.

My bf & 2 of his friends have seen something "funny" happen to an old friend of theirs with one of these boards.....
This girl had one of these boards that had something bad. She freaked out & Blessed it but then later on she cursed it again. This thing got blessed & cursed so many times that it became a game with bipolor. The ghost or demon got fed up with the game & went to the next game that it was next to in the closet. It went into the game of life & it started predicting how many kids she had....... SURE ENOUGH SHE HAD THAT MANY KIDS. (I believe the count was 5)

I've been around people using them, both the Parker Brothers version and the real version, and I don't like being in the room when people are playing with them. I get bad vibes from it sad I think it mostly relies on mindset of the people using it at the time, and maybe something else.
