"Oh boy... I'm gotten hate to use this..." Valin said to himself.
He closed his eyes and concentrated. This... this was something he hadn't called upon in a long time...
Valin called upon the Dark Side.
He opened his eyes - which were not the emerald green of normal but yellow with red circling around them, which was blood.
He aimed his hands in the sky, dropping his saber to the ground, which rolled off a bit ways.
Suddenly, lightning poured forth from his hands, strike down at his legs, first cracking then shattering the ice around his legs and then in his general area.
He stopped and closed his eyes again, while lowering his hands. When he opened his eyes again, they were the normal green once more. He shut away the call of the Dark - which always tried to call to him more openly when Valin used these techniques.
"The power of the Dark Side of the Force..." Valin admitted to Red.

Red only smirked as her opponent got up. "I don't care." She was already running for him seeing as he had dropped his weapon to free himself. Though he still had two others on his belt, she was sure she was too close now for him to activate them in time to counter an elbow thrust to his upper chest.

Valin smiled as she closed the distance, even if he called his blade to him, he'd have to ignite the blade. And a swing could kill her, as well.
Instead, he called upon the Force and hit her with a barrage of mental attacks. He intended to deaden her preceptions, weaken her thinking. It was called Force Stun - stronger Force users could focus their power enough to actually put someone in a sleeping state or even into a catatonic state.

He wasn't too shy to try the same thing twice. She was glad to know that. A little irritated as well, but she prepared for something almost like that. She gathered the moisture on her clothing into a sphere before her elbow, leaving her completely dry for a moment. This spehere swiftly froze into a three pound globular bludgeon that thrust for Valin just as her perception, balance, and focus dropped.

...And I've been feeling a little off all day. No virus or anything, I don't think. Just one of thoses days you don't feel as healthy as you normally do.

Valin attempted to jump out of the way, but was still caught by the high speed, slightly heavy water.
It sent him tumbling backwards again, though this time he hit the water face down.
He grumbled a curse and pushed himself up. Ok... so mental attacks were out. She was too well prepared for that.
Using the Force, he called his lightsaber to him and ignited the silver blade.
Though the hit caused pain - he could block that. But he couldn't force his body to preform as well now. A serious disadvantage.
"You know... we never did discuss on how we would prove defeat. Because... I'm not going to kill you or dismember you..."

She merely looked at him dumbly at his statement. She hadn't really thought of that. Then again, she was trying to make him feel the same danger she thought she was in while fighting him. She was able to get hits in on him, but nothing that would make him feel inches from death. To her that meant he was still on top in this fight.
"Well...to be honest, I'm getting a bit tired." She couldn't explain that too well. Probably those mental attacks he placed on her. She had to strain for what little last minute focus she had each time. Now that she thought about it, or tried to, it wasn't fatigue, but instead a headache.
"Well if a winner had to be declared, it would be you. That's all I'm saying." She didn't show any signs of relenting though. He might want to keep going, and she would be more than glad for as long as she was able.

Valin lowered his lightsaber, switching it off.
"I think you're more tired than you're letting on," Valin said to her. His mental assaults were obviously more effective than he previously thought. He had probably left her with some painful effects.
He didn't try to read her pain or thoughts through the Force. Previous experiences with her had shown that she didn't want his uninvited help or scanning.
"If you'd like... I could use the Force to ease the pain... if you have any..." He offered his help anyway. He didn't believe she'd take though.
"And frankly - no one loss and no one won, either. I think that's alright in my book."

"Deal," she said as she pulled the tiny vial out, which was leaking water ridiculously quick for something so small and muttered something else way too quietly under her breath. All the ice melted, and the water that remained seemed to reverse its flow into the vial. Even the moisture on herself and Valin dried up completely as the vial refilled. Another indistinct utterance and she tucked it under her shirt yet again. One thing she enjoyed about having that particular object under her shirt was that it soaked her body in water so that after a fight, her body temperature wasn't running too high, and she didn't sweat too much in battle either. All she had to do was catch her breath and she'd be alright.
