Valin stopped in front of the massive and thick block of ice. He stopped his disorienting technique.
He could feel her anger and said, "Hm. I can feel your anger. Is it because I intruded upon your mind? Sorry, dear, all is fair in battle."
Valin watched as she did something with her ice magic. He couldn't tell through the barrier - the ice distorted his view, but it was very bright that much was for sure.
The Jedi Knight reached out into the Force, winding through the various fractures and errors inside the ice barrier. He found many of the larger ones. And with a bit of a push - the barrier cracked... but didn't crumble. There simply wasn't enough flaws to have the ice barrier completely buckle and fall over.
"Stalling?" He asked her. Not egotistically, a mere question to prehaps taunt her into angrily attacking him - where she would be reckless.

All was fair indeed. That wasn't exactly a plus in her book, but she could hardly be mad at him for toying with her head in battle. He was lucky they were fighting though. Otherwise...
"I was stalling. However, I figured I might as well make the best of the situation and avert your attention instead." The molecules within her block of ice weren't as evenly distributed as she had assumed. Thankfully it still stood though. She didn't care too much for the barrier anymore though. Especially since he decided to let up on his mental offense.
Water was still spreading about the ring. Just like the block of ice, it froze under the warriors' feet instantly, though this time it was coated with a water, making the ring surface slick. Not a problem for Red, but now the Jedi would have to watch his step, even if it was a minor annoyance.
With a thrust of her palm into the frozen wall, the barrier shattered into thousands of tiny shards with razor sharp edges that thrust themselves mercilessly toward the Jedi. However, she needed a new tactic.

Before he got a chance to say anything, his danger sense went off via the Force, and the wall in front of him burst into thousands rather sharp looking barrage of icy missiles.
Valin instantly had a lightsaber in each hand, twirling them directly in front of him, catching the majority of each. However, some of the shards found their mark, slashing across his robes, nicking his skin on his arms.
When it was over, he lowered his red and silver blade.
He looked at his arms and groaned, "Aww... I'm gonna have to fix this again..."
The Jedi looked at her and started walked around her, "I can't tell if it is supposed to hurt a lot or not. I don't react to pain like normal humans do... I can't anymore..."
The Yuuzhan Vong had done that to him during the war. To swim in a sea of pain in which they filled your lungs up with 'water' to almost drown you... only to bring you back to take breath when you were so close to letting the 'water' drown you to death. And then they did it again. And again. And again.
Until you broke.
