Coailiann was about to thank her friend when the distinct sound of crunching filled the room and light poured in, illuminating the entire headquarters from the now doorless gardens.
Holy. Crap. The girl slid off Zah's shoulders, wincing as her foot met the floor, and ran toward the gun that was kicked back. She was bloody SCARED but at least she had enough sense to pick up a gun when it was offered.
This thing...felt strangely familiar.
"Uh...uh....Crap!"
All she wanted to do was run to her daddy and cry, "Daddy! LOOK!"
Please take the gun please take the gun I don't want to shoot it please.
It was said to nobody, she was just...thinking very, very hard.

Kyocho eyes feel upon the form of the troll like creature. His voice sounding much like a troll as well. Scanning through his memory banks on folklore learned from his mother. Kyocho remembered very little about trolls that was taught to him. It matched the description very well, but something seemed a slightly off about him.
Elf eyes feel upon the one called Nic. Carrying and scrambling weapons amongst his arms. Running off towards the man Kyocho reached out and took a hold of a few of the weapons and Helped Nic back toward the others.

What in the deity's name was that thing? A troll, her mind said helpfully, which made her wince somewhat. Her hand reached immediately for the child and touched her, concentrating as she had the girl be teleported clear across the room near the playpen; this was no place for a child. (Got permission from Faeyas for that one) The guns that had clattered to the floor would suddenly shoot across the room towards the women as if pulled by some unseen string. And the garden door? That was going to be returned right back to Talbar, in pieces or otherwise, if he took another step for them. Kyo grabbed at the gun with one hand, her thumb flicked off the safety silently- she'd shoot the troll if she had to.

A stray gun was still kicking around at Nicolai's feet, and less afraid to damage it than to leave it behind it was being dribbled up like a soccer ball along with the weapon-laden Akoriat. Any adult hand open received a weapon, like it or not. The rest went onto a couch for the taking.
Finally he turned to Kyocho, nodding his thanks to him for his help, and then turned to face the encroaching troll thing. He'd spoken of flesh and broken the door. Not friend.
Now that he was sure the others could get their weapons, he thought it'd soon be time to draw his own. But not yet. The damned thing made him so obvious to outsiders it wasn't funny. It practically oozed yummy living energy. He'd wait until he was sure everyone was armed.
'Everyone has something now, right?" he demanded of them.

For a good second or two, Danny was just... frozen. Absolutely frozen. Fighting? Monsters? Oh, God, what would her mom think of her just now? Then again... maybe this was just fate. That first day she'd walked into the wand shoppe, maybe this was what was gonna happen. She'd come in looking for a book, then gone out with motherhood on her hands. It only stood to reason that things would get stranger and stranger as time progressed. In fact, maybe this was almost logical.
She saw Kay. That cute, pretty little girl- all but shaking out of her shoes, trying to point a gun at the monster. It was absurd, positively crazy....
Gently, she took Kay's wrist and plucked the gun from her grasp. "No, hun. No." Giving the little girl a soft shove off towards the playpen, trying to signal that she ought to stay out of the fight, Danny pulled down the hammer on the gun, and did the unthinkable.
She fired. She ******** pulled the trigger right toward the monster- and, not being one to have any thoughts of ammunition conservation, fired again. And if that didn't kill the damn thing, she was more than prepared to keep on shooting until the gun refused to shoot anymore. Hell; even if the troll dropped on the first hit, she was very happy to just pile lead into its corpse until she was out of bullets. She would not- repeat, would NOT- allow that thing to endanger her baby, or any of the other children, or anyone else there. Her resolve was finally found, and with it, she readied the gun to fire again.

Yashi was clinging to his wand, staring at the flesh thing, jaw setting roughly. "...I have NO idea how to use this thing," He murmured, eyebrows knotting together. This was bullshit. They should NOT be in this sort of situation - not with all the kids and people who were sitting ducks..
He didn't WANT to die.
His hands moved to hhold the wand defensively. Might as well use it like a bo staff or something. S'easy. Aim and shoot. Sure. A bit ruthless. But..damnit.

Art found herself in the play pin. She wasn't sure how she got here but she was here.
Where was her mommy? It scared her. Her mommy wasn't here, and then there were bangs and Art covered her ears.
It was then Art realized she was short her precious toy. Her wand.
She screamed.

"I sure as heck do." Rouge called, holding up a gun briefly. She was going to protect the little ones no matter what.
Gently she placed Xerk in the pen with the other little ones. Her gun was lowered and her hand reached out to touch Oak's cheek. "There there little one. It'll all be okay. Daddy is helping the others out now. They're gonna keep you and the others safe." she tried to reassure the upset baby.
As she spoke she scanned the playpen with her eyes, making sure the little ones were present and accounted for. Oak-check, Wiko-check, Art-upset but check, Vana-check, the crab-check. As for any other kiddlets, if they weren't in the pen yet she hoped they would be soon.
After she had finished with Oak, Art started to cry. Gently she pat the girl's head. "Art, shushu. You've gotta set a good example kay? You're Mom will be okay." EDITED

Fiddling with the gun, Aurrek nodded and headed back out to stand by the playpen. "Yeah, I got one," he murmured. He looked up as he heard all the noise, and his eyes immediately went wide as he saw the creature bursting into the room.
His hands shaking, the god of hourglasses fumbled with the gun a moment longer until he managed to undo the safety. Then he took the weapon in both hands and held it straight out, pointing it at the creature.
So he just had to aim, right? And not hit anyone else. That could be hard, with the way he was jittering. This was too stressful; he could not concentrate, especially with the target moving, too.
Someone else shot first, and the sudden sound scared Aurrek enough that he touched off the trigger on his own weapon, too.

Oh, but Talbar ignored everyone else, zoning in on Coailiann. Oh that little girl! It was that b***h's little sister, wasn't it? The smile turned into a sinister smirk and a giant ball of energy, grey like everything else, fountained up in his hand.
Tossing it back and forth for a single moment to give it momentum, the ball was hurled at the sidhe. Unfortunately, Talbar wasn't expecting Danny to step in front of the girl.
And the ball of neutral energy hit Danny, square in the chest, melting into her flesh and wrapping around her heart, sucking her life force out like a leech - and quickly. She would be dead in moments.
Talbar wasn't fast enough to dodge the gun, though, and the gun's discharges (which happened to be a very strong plasma) hit him in his arm, and his leg, causing him to fall over.
The energy being sucked from the guardian was fueling him, now, rapidly healing the wounds that the gun inflicted.

"Kay!" Yashi screamed out the name of his once-friend when he saw the other aiming in on the little sidhe. He spun around on his heels, scrambling at her - when Danny got the hit instead. The young fox faltered, face paling and oh, gods, he was going to throw up.
But the guy would still be after Kay, after Danny was dead and when they all stopped shooting. Thus, Yashi moved one, scrambling at grabbing at the sidhe. "Kay, c'mon!" Voice desperate, throwing glances down at Danny as he tugged at Kays clothes. "Kay!"
Zah could defend himself. Xerk he wasn't sure was there. Iamel had found a gun and was blasting at the creature with abandon. Kay was the one who needed help. And for once, shed been acting childish and unknowledgeable; not domineering. For now, hostility on his end was forgotten

Ariel wasn't observant for nothing, "Danny get back!" she shouted and coughed, "Kay you too," she gave an appologetic glace to Kyo, who knew she shouldn't be exerting herself like this. "I think its still sucking our energy, I think its healing with it!" Ari felt dizzy, she still couldn't get off the couch.

With all this firearm use Nicolai hung back, beckoning a few others around him to do so as well. No use killing each other with friendly fire.
"People without guns stay back," he advised. "Stay out of the way."
All the racket had caused a clamor among the babies, much to his dismay. He moved to the playpen, performing his own head count- most notably a limb count knowing Wiko was there- and satisfied with the results, he turned to face the target of all this racket and braced himself to defend-
-catching sight of the troll's first advance.
Akorigarita flung out from his wrist top speed, barely missing the edge of the playpen. Black steel shooting four feet from an ornate infinite loop hilt switched back along his arm. He hadn't a clue what his next action was, what he could do for the fallen. But he had to be ready.

Malen retrived a gun then moved to Kay's side ignoring the fallen body that lay before it. " Kay stay behind me." He level the gun at the troll and began to unload continuously aiming at the head. " Yashi don't try to move her it's easier to defend a stable object." The words were orders.

Coailiann was frozen in place when Talbar turned his gaze on her and was rendered speechless. He seemed to recognize her, somehow, and it showed in his eyes. And his mind.
And the poor sidhe just couldn't move. The gun was given over to Danny with little hesitation and she made a break for it, forgetting that she was supposed to be in charge, forgetting that she was supposed to do anything. She wanted her father - and so, shrugging off Yashi and everyone else, she charged him, clinging.
The sound of energy hitting someone, though, grabbed her attention and her small head jerked in the direction it came from.
Danny.
"NO!"
...It was her fault. She had let her take the gun.
EDIT: Hearing her father, she nodded numbly and went, instead, to cling to Yashima and cry
