Gennosuke stepped on to the shores of the beach. He had decided it was time he learned a few new jutsu. He had been completely ignoring his training and he knew that he would never be taken serious if he didn't step his game up. Reaching into his pocket along his back he pulled out the first scroll. Opening it he glanced over the picture before reading up on the jutsu. From what he could tell the scroll would be teaching him how to create and toss fireballs from his hands. He figured it would be a good start. He learned the fireball jutsu from his brother a while back so this shouldn't be as bad.
[d20] 16 + Chakra Control 2o = 36 (pass/fail) [o1/1o] Gennosuke looked at the text below the picture. He read over it quickly so that he could begin to learn the new technique. He looked at the center of his hand and began to pour his chakra into his palm. Within no time the chakra built up and Gennosuke imbued it with his chakra nature causing it to combust. The chakra flared up quickly igniting his hand for a second. The warmth lingered before finally cooling off.
[d20] o7 + Chakra Control 2o = 27 (pass/fail) [o1/1o] He smirked at having been able to ignite his chakra on the first try. He quickly poured his chakra back into his hand again. As he did it ignited too fast sending flames into his face. He jumped back breaking his focus on the technique. Before he knew it he was on the ground having fallen backwards. He looked at his hand hoping he hadn't burned himself. That was the last thing he needed. Sighing he got back up on his feet. [d20] 12 + Chakra Control 2o = 32 (pass/fail) [o2/1o] Taking the scroll from its place, now on the ground thanks to his fall, he opened it up and read over the technique once more. He would have to get it right in order to make sure that he could do it in battle. Gennosuke placed the scroll back down before looking at his hand again. Back focused he again poured his chakra into his palm and in no time it was ignited but this time it was controlled. He watched it for a second before it went out. "It won't be as hard as I thought," he said to himself with a smile.
[d20] o6 + Chakra Control 2o = 26 (pass/fail) [o2/1o] He focused back at the palm of his hand yet again. As he did he flowed his chakra into it and it ignited. This time it went awry again sending little flames onto his clothes. One of the flames landed on his jacket and it began to burn. He took his unoccupied hand and swatted at the flame to put it out. After a couple of hit the flame disappeared leaving a small burn patch. Gennosuke looked at the patch with a disappointed face. "Mruph," he grumbled before letting the jacket fall back onto his chest.
[d20] 2o + Chakra Control 2o = 4o (pass/fail) [o3/1o] Gennosuke sat down hoping it would make it easier to focus and if the flames started he could just bury his hands in the sand. He crossed his legs Indian style and places his right hand in front of him. Flowing his chakra into his hand he could feel it warming up. After a few seconds the flames started sparking up. He let it burn for a few seconds before the flames went out on their own. Letting his focus go he sighed glad that the flames didn't get in his face or on his jacket this time.
[d20] 2o + Chakra Control 2o = 4o (pass/fail) [o4/1o] He focused again on his palm. Without much effort he poured his chakra into his hand again. It swirled around for a minute before flaring up into a flame. He let them burn feeling the warmth on hand. Seconds later he had buried his hand in the ground to smolder the flames quickly. He pulled his hand out of the sand and shook it off to remove the sand that had remained. Finally he clapped his hands together to get the rest off.

[d20] o3 + Chakra Control 2o = 23 (pass/fail) [o4/1o] Gennosuke continued his training. Pieces of the sand were still present on his hands as he began to start letting his chakra flow into his hand yet again. He could feel the heat coming from his hand but no fire sparked this time. He kept focusing to try and ignite the fire he had done earlier but nothing happened. He shook his hand and looked back at it confused as to why it didn't work. He felt the sand again and noticed it was slightly wet. He took his hand and wiped it on his jacket trying to dry it back out so that he could try again.
[d20] 1o + Chakra Control 2o = 3o (pass/fail) [o5/1o] After drying his hand a little better he tried to flow his chakra into it again. He could feel the heat permeate off his hand and although it took a little longer it finally caught fire. It burned brightly for a minute before he stopped the flow of the chakra. The fire ceased after finishing out the chakra left in his hand. He closed his hand into a fist and then opened it again glad he could do it again.

d20 [13] + Chakra Control [55] = 68 (pass/fail) [01/09] Hiru's attention turned to a young boy who walked up to him during his training session. He had noticed someone else was in the area; but he hadn't really given it much attention because it seemed very unlikely that he would be hostile. Still, after hearing his introduction, Hiru was a bit surprised to see a genin from the Sound Village in the Water Country; especially so close to Kirigakure.
d20 [04] + Chakra Control [55] = 59 (pass/fail) [02/09]
"Well hello there Toshi-kun, my name is Hiru, Hiru Hoshigaki. I'm a chuunin from this village right there, Kirigakure.", he said, pointing to the village. "Don't be unsettled by my appearance, he added, this is just a new jutsu I've been working on; I usually look more like a shark and less like a turtle!", he told the young boy with a smile. "Would it be impolite to ask what a genin from Otogakure is doing on the Shoreline of the Hidden Mist Village?", he asked.
d20 [08] + Chakra Control [55] = 63 (pass/fail) [03/09]
As he kept talking to the young sound shinobi, he still didn't kept on with his training, even though his attention might have been slightly affected. Still, despite the distraction, he kept focusing his swift chakra in his arms to try and accelerate everything between blows in an effort to maximize the succession of attacks' efficiency. It was certainly a bit of a challenge even for a skilled Ninjutsu suer like Hiru.
d20 [18] + Chakra Control [55] = 73 (pass/fail) [04/09]
He had to take a few moments during his conversation to focus on his technique, trying to identify where he could try to shave time off to string the attacks together optimally. He applied bursts of swift chakra during stance shifts, foot placement, wrist twists, all in an effort to focus the time used strictly on the sword swings themselves. The spectacle must certainly have been a strange one.
d20 [02] + Chakra Control [55] = 57 (pass/fail) [05/09]
Indeed, to an outisde observer, it would appear as though Hiru was actually moving in fast forward for a second, then slowing down for another, then would accelerate again for a brief moment before stopping again completely. All of that, while talking at a very normal pace. Hiru didn't really realize how unsettling it could be since, even to him, this was all still very new and experimental.

d20 [15] + Chakra Control [55] = 70 (pass/fail) [06/09]
As he kept talking with the young visitor from the Rice Country, Hiru maintained his progression at a steady pace in using this technique more and more efficiently. It seemed as though with every attempt the blows seemed to meld together more and more, gradually starting to look like his swinging motion was only one move was the hits were numerous on the tree he used as a practice target.
d20 [18] + Chakra Control [55] = 73 (pass/fail) [07/09]
Even though it did not appen often, Hiru realized that if he lost focus for just a second, he'd apply his swift chakra burst just at the wrong time, increasing the blow's speed instead of its shifting motion. When that occured, of course the individual blow felt more powerful; however, it completely disrupted the sequences rythm, ruining the chain of movement and obviously potentially leaving the opponent a second to move away.
d20 [10] + Chakra Control [55] = 65 (pass/fail) [08/09]
Trying to fix this problem, he swung with always greater speed at his target, watching its bark fly as it was ripped from the tree by Samehada's shredding edge. Since the beginning of the exercise, it had grown quite smooth from this intense training. If Hiru kept going, it could pretty soon ressemble more a pencil than a tree from being shaved of its wood blow after blow. Good thing trees weren't a rarity in this region!
d20 [06] + Chakra Control [55] = 61 (pass/fail) [09/09]
Finally, after a few minutes of tweaking, Hiru had found out how to make this technique work. If at first it seemed like an awkward irregular fast motion swinging technique, it was now clearly a high calibre, potentially very danger ous technique as every attack seemlessly chained and melded with one another, making it look to pretty much anyone as though one swing resulted in a flurry blows at the target.

Toshi smiled and slowly raised from the bow he had held. He held his hand to the side and continued to slowly strip his elemental chakra down to it's base. He was actually getting the hand of it pretty easily. He kept a small focus on his training while he answered the shark/turtle man's question. "It's warranted." Toshi said with a smile on his face. "Officially I'm here as an exchange program to try and... Make our villages more friendly towards one another. Unofficially, I'm here to get as far away from Oto as I can until there's a new Kage... " His smile slipped for just a second before reappearing into its custom usual smile.
He let his chakra simmer down before he started to focus on the pull of the chakra, gently moving it the way he wanted. He felt a small gust of wind reacting to his chakra and slowly stripped it of it's natural wind properties. He continued smiling at the Hoshigaki named Hiru. "It's an honor to meet you Hiru. I don't think I've ever seen someone be able to move as fast as you... But I have seen a girl fly before... I wouldn't mind learning there... Anyways, what's it like in Kirigakure? It's a pretty beautiful place, lots of trees and the beautiful ocean. There's so much nature around it's just so wonderful here. It's a shame about the history of blood but, being one from Oto I really shouldn't even talk." His smile remained in place the whole time. It was nice to actually talk with someone from Kirigakure that wasn't all about official business.
Luna watched the fishy smelling guy as Toshi shifted back up into his upright standing position. To which she slowly walked back up to his shoulder and sat there, watching intently the blue turtle person. She tried to focus on her chakra, but she couldn't really focus on anything other than watching out for Toshi and making sure he's safe. She continued to glare at Hiru while he trained and she had to agree with Toshi. He was pretty fast. She had seen Toshi dodge kunai's with the assistance of wind but this was on a whole different level. She continued to keep her eyes on Hiru while she thought of what to say to Toshi in words of warnings about him
She slowly let down her guard down though when she came to the realization that if anything happened to Toshi that this village would be in big trouble. She purred happily at the thought of retaliation if any harm would come to her pet. She tried to focus on her warm feeling but she wasn't quite able to call it up once more. She sat there on Toshi's shoulder and decided that she'd give it another try after she groomed herself a little bit. The salty air was damaging her beautiful coat. She licked her paw and started to wash her face, all the while keeping one eye on this Hiru guy. She also noticed a new comer and alerted Toshi. "There's someone over there. He's holding flames! Look pet, look!" She said in furious meows as she batted him in the face with her paw in the direction of the flaming hand guy. She put her front paws up on Toshi's head to get a better look at the guy as she stretched out her body as high as she could make herself.

Toshi ignored the feline perched on his head as if he was a stepping stone. He focused and flexed his fingers as he let his chakra slowly surface. He felt the pull and before it came out as wind he stripped the chakra of it's elemental nature and let the pure chakra flow onto his hand, completely covering it. He smirked as he came to the realization of how easy it was. He knew his skill with controlling chakra was pretty strong but he didn't know that it was this strong. It had almost become second nature to him. He felt the urge to want a challenge. He made a mental note to himself that once he finished this training he will do something more challenging.
He let the chakra go as he began to think about ....

He stood by the edge of a cliff, there was a hill that led down to the beach but he found it a waste of time when his body could easily support a jump like this. It was only six meters down. He took a step over the edge and landed rather harshly. The sand exploded out of each direction. He wanted to make a scene. He liked attention. But he didn't want anyone to know he liked attention. He wanted to seen as graceful and humble.
The sand made it very hard to take steps. The sand would slide the foot somewhat back before you could push off to the next step. This would made his muscles work harder. He decided, that his first exercise would be to dash across the beach. About fifty meters. He cracked his neck a couple of times and got into the traditional sprinting position with his finger tips infront of him with one leg stretched back and the other tuck underneath him. He then began his sprint and began to slip so much on the sand that his feet wouldn't take him anywhere forward, instead his step continously on the spot. He gave up and admited defeat. "Odd.."

He took a breathing moment to collect his energy into the explosive power he was about to emit. Like a gun, he flew away from his starting position with sand blowing as he made his was across the beach. But, a moment of empathy made him stop in his tracks. A crab walked along his path. He had to kick his heels into the sand to slow down the speed, but seeing how he was closing in on the oh-so-slow crab, he had to throw himself over it. Landing with a big smack against the unforgiving sand. "Oww.." he whimpered, as he looked at the sideways walking crab, clinching the air from time to time. "I better hope you have connections to the king crabs.." the crab stopped, turned, walked towards Masanori and pinched his noes, before continuing its walk.

He continued to make his way along the side of the wet water. About 45meters into the dash, he slowed down. This dash was a sure failure. Moment after moment passed, he waited for the right feel of things, when his thighs, knees and ancles would extend and begin his dash. . .. ...
There. His eyes widend and his face got serious. He put all of his energy into his legs, not spritiual energy only in the physical form. Sand dashed around him. Crabs, cans and old fish carcasses got dug up from the sand and landed exposed on the beach once more. He dug his heels into the ground as he had reached the fifty meter mark and was relieved. He felt that shadowboxing was a good way to improve dodging abilites. He swung his arms back and forth to stretch his chest muscles and get some reach. Even though he would do his all to avoid a melee confrontation, some times it's good to practice an impossibility. He got up on his tippy-toes and started to jump back and forth, on occasions, throwing his upper body downwards, jumping to the side to then straighten his body again. Masanori looked at the two in a cool pause moment, where your perspective as the reader, panned around the three in a circle, before he rushed forward with his arms hanging behind him. He needed to develop it further, perhaps by adding chakra into his movements. He added that idea, to create a new movement enhancing jutsu, on the shelf. He took a few minutes to walk around and breathe the fresh ocean air. "Hmm.. Wonder.. Haah.. Wonder where that blue ugly guy is?.." he quickly stopped in his step and turned and looked over his shoulder, feeling as if Hiru was going to be standing right there and he thought of him. But no. False alarm.

He pushed his knuckles into the opposite palm of the hand and imagined two new enemies. He like the shuriken guy so he let him stay. The other one was a bo-staff fighter. The shuriken started once again, but instead of a charge from Masanori's side. He stood in his place and dodged each shuriken the best he could without moving so much from his original position. It was easy when all of the shurikens were headed towards his head and chest area, he bent down and rolled to the side. Quickly there after, the edge from the bo-staff came swinging towards the side of his head. He immidiately bent his back and fell backwards, but stopped his fall by stretching out his left arm downwards underneath him. Standing now in a semi-bridge. He pushed off with his arm and left leg while rotating to his left, sending a nice kick towards the imaginary's guy stomach. He slowly faded away. He stopped there.
