Fen watched with envy as he saw Hiru blink from one place to another, unable to see the extreme movements. When Hiru vanished completely Fen began to look around wondering where he could have possibly gone. He scanned the beach until he heard a voice. He grew stiff as his natural reaction was to reach for his weapon. He was barely able to recognize Hiru's voice to stop his natural reaction. His eyes widened slightly before going back to normal. He turned and smiled at his comrade. "That's.... Some pretty dangerous speed... You've got there. It seems I need to step up my game." He took a gulp unable to get past his shock at the speed of it, he was usually the stealthy one and he had totally been out classed. He stood up fully and looked at the man in front of him. "So as a reward would you like something to eat or a ~Mystery prize~?"
Hiru wondered on both options for a while, visibly troubled by having to make this decision. Something to eat was always the first thing he'd go for... but a mystery prize was a mystery prize... it could be anything! Maybe there was a way for him to get both rewards... it was worth the shot anyway! Looking deep into Fenrir's eyes with a disturbing glare from his little fish eyes, he said in a somewhat frightful tone "Maybe you could throw in both for an old partner?"

Fen looked Hiru up and down before he finally said. "How OLD are you? Come on grandpa. Let's get something to eat. Hahaha And yes you can have both. To the ramen shop!" He as he turned around and headed off towards the direction of the ramen shop. "Oh!" He said, suddenly stopping. He reached into his bag and tossed Hiru the secret scroll. "Here. It's very tempting and I have a half a mind to learn it but... I like my jutsu's to be done by hard work I guess... Plus we'll count this as making us even for helping me out in the lab from the big guy... Maybe your way isn't so bad after all.." He looked away as he scratched the side of his cheek, heading towards the Ramen shop once more.
As the scroll was flew in his vicinity, Hiru caught it instantly, mostly by reflex. It took him a couple of seconds to realize what exactly was this "gift" he had thought at first would only be a joke present from his former partner. He had to look at it twice to make sure he wasn't simply imagining things, but this indeed was the scroll they had found during their mission in Amegakure, hidden in the room where they had stolen the secret seal. Hiru had heard rumours withing the organization it had been given to a shinobi for services rendered; but had no idea that this person was Fenrir. He could hardly understand the gesture as this was certainly an incredible gift...especially for a ninjutsu specialist.!
Rain Border: Theoretical Research Library
Secret Jutsu Formula: Allows automatic learning of any jutsu B-Rank or above, if requirements are met. Can be a secret jutsu from another village. Knowledge is transmitted through a mystical ink that imbues into the reader and disappears from the scroll, making the technique impossible to pass on.
Somewhat flabbergasted, Hiru could only answer his generous squadmate with an uncomfortable smile "Th... Thank you Fenrir-san... This is an incredibly generous gift!". Still surprised to have been handed something so valuable with such candeur, he couldn't help but spend a few moments to look at the scroll he was now holding tightly in his hand.
Finally coming back to earth. Hiru noticed Fenrir was now well over 15 meters away, and started running in his direction while yelling "Hey don't leave like that! Let me treat you to something for this at least!"

Toshi walked along the shoreline with Lunar on his shoulder. "That forest felt pretty old didn't it Luna?" He smiled as he gently scratched under her chin before he found a nice spot on the beach. "Time to train it seems. Plus the view here is beautiful. I think we'll get A LOT of training done here!" He sat on the beach, crossing his legs as he gently set Luna down beside him. He remembered reading how to transfer chakra and decided now would be a good time to learn it. He closed his eyes and tried to focus on his task at hand but he couldn't seem to focus at all. His mind kept drifting towards comparing the Mizukage and his cousin. -1cp He sighed and opened his eyes. He looked towards Luna and smiled happily. She seemed to be doing well in her training if the gleam in her coat was anything to judge by. He smiled happily down at her again before looking out to the ocean and focusing on the soothing noises it brought with it. He focused inwards as his eyes continued to stare at the water. The wind that always swirled around him at all when he used chakra slowly started to disappear. He knew he was slowly pulling the wind nature and separating it from his base chakra. He felt odd to him now that he had truly embraced his Clan's heritage and learned wind based jutsu. -1cp
Luna enjoyed riding on Toshi's shoulder as they continued to walk down the beach. When Toshi asked her a question she replied with a series of meows that meant "It did indeed seem pretty old. Though it doesn't seem like a place we should go too often...' Her thought had quickly shifted focus when she started to enjoy the scratches, purring lightly as she continued to watch their progression down the beach. She quickly accepted her new spot beside him once he had sat down. She huffed when he said they'd be doing training but she gradually accepted. She sat still and closed her eyes. She focused on her inner working of her chakra system. She felt power burst all around her skin. Her hair slowly started to shine and become a brilliant black that seemed to ripple like satin. -1cp
She turned her attention to Toshi beside her. She gently patted his leg with her paw as if to say "You can do it Toshi". He seemed to understand because when he opened his eyes he looked at her, smiling. She couldn't help but purr happily at receiving his attention. She watched him smile again before he started to stare off. She took her paw off and started to go back to work. She sat there relaxed while her chakra was just flowed through her. She barely had to think about it at all. She began to purr loudly as she felt the flow through her quicken in response to her will. She focused more intently on it as the flow started to quicken and pour around slowly out of her, wrapping around her. She felt really warm until she exhaled and relaxed. Her built up chakra flowing out of her with her breath, cooling her down. -1cp

Still a bit sore from his spar with Fenrir, Hiru took his first moments alone in a long while to go back to the spot where he always returned when he needed to refuel his batteries: his beloved shoreline. This place held so many memories... Thinking back on it, this place was actually where he had ran off to all those years ago, bloodied and bruised after a beating from his parents, and decided he was going to run off to the academy.
d20 [18] + Ninjutsu [55] = 73 (pass/fail) [02/10]
As he looked to the sea, he remembered the long days when he had develloped the jutsu that had now become his signature in combat. He smirked when thiking back on it, probably because very few people knew that his water gliding technique had actually started as a way to kill time mess around with all of the dock workers without risking to get the snot beaten out of him.
d20 [20] + Ninjutsu [55] = 75 (pass/fail) [03/10]
Feeling the pressure of his new responsibilities drift away with the tide, Hiru tried to think of a way to kill time. He had never really been one to just lay back and watch the horizon for hours; although he did enjoy to look at it actively. Scratching his chin, he smiled when an idea popped into his head. He thought he'd use this opportunity to do what he always did to loosen up and kill time: work on a technique.
d20 [20] + Ninjutsu [55] = 75 (pass/fail) [04/10]
Unsure of what he should work on, he browsed in his mind through the inventory of techniques he had learned so far to see if anything would inspire him. He already knew more than enough water jutsus for the moment; although they were amongst his favorite. Working on the strange new swift release he had been grafted would have been a decent idea; however the strain on his body was still too raw for it to prove a pleasant experience.
d20 [19] + Ninjutsu [55] = 74 (pass/fail) [05/10]
That's when it struck him: a pleasant experience. Since he had signed his contract with the Cool Springs Tortoises, Hiru had been told that they had a few techniques that it allwed him to devellop; but he had never gotten around to learning them. Being amongst them was so relaxing he knew what would be the very first technique he'd learn from their catalogue: the Turtle Transformation Technique!
d20 [11] + Ninjutsu [55] = 66 (pass/fail) [06/10]
Hiru did not have the turtle's scroll before his eyes; but he was confident enough he could figure this technique out with the explanation he had been given of it by the emissary who had been assigned to familiarizing new contract holders with the ways of the Sameruizumi Tortoises. Hire smirked when remembered how shocked that turtle looked to actually have something to do since it had been decades since the last contract had been signed

Toshi looked over at Luna and smirked. He sure found a skilled companion when he saved her from that alley and gave her a life of shrimp and good food. He blinked at the ocean and noticed something odd at the corner of his eye, but he focused on the ocean instead. He focused on the beautiful serenity of the ocean. He smiled happily as he focused intently on his chakra. He started working on making it more neutral, stripping it of his beloved element and his blooded ties. He took a deep breath as he drew out the pure chakra and held it in his hand. He wasn't going to let it end there. He kept it up as he looked down at Luna with a smile. He let his chakra go and gently stroked Luna's ears. "You can do it girl! Don't give up Luna. You make that chakra your mouse! Pounce and play with it like your own little toy." He gently scratched under her chin.
Toshi pulled his hand back and continued to focus once more on his training at hand. He turned and noticed what it was that he saw. It was a blue person. He had never seen anyone like that before. He sat there with a peaceful look on his face as he pulled more chakra out of his core and into his hand pulling the wind nature and making it blank. It started to glow in his hand, pure chakra without wind. He felt odd without wind surrounding him when he calls up his chakra. He smiled happily at his success and leaned down towards Luna, smiling happily. "You can do it Luna. I believe in you." He waited around until she was done with her attempt before scooping her up and setting her up on his shoulder. "Time to introduce ourselves to the locals." [+2 to Lunar's next two rolls]
Luna closed her eyes and focused towards the rushing torrent inside her, making her heat up. Sadly she couldn't feel it this time. She was about to give up when Toshi gave her some affection and praises to which she knew she couldn't give up now! She quickly found the source of the feeling that made her feel alive and took hold of it. She felt her fur become both firm and soft as her coat began to shine. She kept a hold of it for as long as she could before she let it go. She loved the feeling she had when she was controlling it. She felt all warm and bundled up, like when she stole Toshi's bed in the morning as hid under the blankets. It was a cocoon of warmth and at the same time energy.
She purred happily as she went to give it another attempt. She knew that Toshi was on another attempt by the look in his face. He had an oddly blank face when he tried to call up his magic. Luna meowed happily as encouragement before continuing on to her own training. She was just about to get started when Toshi wished her luck. She couldn't help but feel inspired to try harder. She focused as her muscles tensed and her body felt like it was going to explode from the amount of warmth she felt. She felt like she'd eventually become fire herself. She purred loudly at her success. Her coat remained lustrous and soft as she looked up at Toshi. She slowly felt Toshi lift her up and rest her on his shoulder. She wanted to protest but she had the warmth sensation still clouding her mind.
Toshi and Luna walked over towards the giant blue person, as he got closer he noticed gills. He hesitated about if he should get any closer. He heard about the race of Shark people in Kirigakure, but thought they were just rumors or myths. He hesitated once more before walking the rest of the way up to the person. Toshi bowed while Luna clung onto his shoulder and watched the Blue person that smelled like fish with narrow eyes. Her protectiveness kicking into over drive. "I'm Toshi Okazai from Okazai village, a Genin of Otogakure. It is a pleasure to meet you, and this is Luna." He said, still remaining bowed.
Luna continued to look at the Fish man before shifting her stance on Toshi so she was on his back like a perch. She growled slightly as Toshi introduced her. She batted his head with her paw as she meowed furiously. "Idiot boy! Don't tell him who we are so readily! He smells fishy to me! You need to think more... What would I do if something happened to you.." The meows slowly turned into slight meowing cries.

Basically, from what he gathered, the essence of this jutsu was merging the regular Henge Jutsu (Transformation Technique) with the Kuchiyose Jutsu (Summoning Technique). By doing this, instead of simply coating his body with basic chakra that his afterwards molded into physical matter to ressemble a target, he would have to "summon" the essence of a turtle into the chakra coating his body, giving it shape and consistency.
d20 [02] + Ninjutsu [55] = 57 (pass/fail) [08/10]
Since a foreign essence would be introduced and actual physical matter would be summoned as well to meld into the technique, this should have the effect of not only granting him the appearance of a turtle of the Sameruizumi tribe, but also giving him the same basic characteristics that they all share; namely their unique physiognomy that makes them a lot sturdier and very adept at moving underwater.
d20 [07] + Ninjutsu [55] = 62 (pass/fail) [09/10]
Wanting to get things going as efficiently as possible, Hiru started coating his body with his own chakra. That process was extremely basic; something he could most likely do in his sleep. Second, he started opening his channel to the Cool Springs, the one he had tapped into when he had first used the Kuchiyose technique earlier that year. Given his natural affinities with this group, it had automatically linked him to their island.
d20 [15] + Ninjutsu [55] = 70 (pass/fail) [10/10]
As the summoning channel connected, Hiru could feel the foreign chakra imprinting his own chakra, molding it into something that was not exactly the same as his usually was. This essence made his chakra a bit harder to mold; even though it was actually almost instinctively shaping his chakra to a given shape. Hiru could feel where it started concentrating and quickly realized it was by itslef taking the form of a turtle.

If Hiru was usually incredibly in synch with his own chakra, a testament to his incredible skills in chakra control, the recent experiments had messed around with his system enough for him to be unsettled by the sudden merging of all the various chakra signatures inside and around his body. When you started adding them all up, it became very probable that anyone who wasn't sufficiently trained would go mad from this strain.
d20 [14] + Chakra Control [55] = 69 (pass/fail) [02/09]
Indeed, not only was Hiru now having to deal with his denatured chakra, that had went from having an affinity to the water element to having an affinity with this strange new speed, he also had to manage Samehada's chakra flowing back forth between his body and the blade. Add to that cocktail turtle chakra and DNA and you get one heck of a party rushing through Hiru's body.
d20 [14] + Chakra Control [55] = 69 (pass/fail) [03/09]
Still, despite all of that chaos, Hiru was able to sort it all out to allow the turtle chakra to do its work, since it appeared as though this was the better part of the technique. As he was channeling it, Hiru had been surprised to realize that the henge did not only affect the surface of his body like the normal technique usually did; this one actually seeped into his body and seemed to imbue all of his anatomy.
d20 [01] + Chakra Control [55] = 56 (pass/fail) [04/09]
Gradually turtle chakra began flooding into his cells from the surface where Hiru had summoned it. Feeling that it in no way threatened his body's integrity, Hiru let it do his work, realizing why the turtle had told him he ultimately wouldn't have his say in what the end result would resemble. Like the original Kuchiyose had done, the technique matched his body according to its affinities.
d20 [07] + Chakra Control [55] = 62 (pass/fail) [05/09]
The first thing to manifest was his shell. To his surprise, it seemed unusually light compared to the weight the shells of his summons had. It barely sticked out from the sides and barely protruded from his back. Very clearly, given his new affinity to the swift elemental nature, even his turtle form was made to reflect and favour speed, this shell clearly hindering movement less than a more traditional would.

Hiru was actually waiting to see if his posture would be forced into a change; many turtles being either fully quadruped or bipedal/quadrupedal hybrid. To his surprise, his basic stance remained to all accounts unaffected, the shell's weight being very minimal and his own size and musculature remaining largely unaffected. Again, this was most likely to reflect the taijutsu orientation of his style more strongly.
d20 [14] + Chakra Control [55] = 69 (pass/fail) [07/09]
As the change continued, Hiru noticed his skin turning blue. Surprisingly, however, even though its texture changed slightly, turning to delicate scales that now covered his entire body, these scales themselves kept the texture and particularities of his own shark skin, granting it the properties of both, for better or for worse.
d20 [04] + Chakra Control [55] = 59 (pass/fail) [08/09]
After his scales and skin had stabilized, Hiru's Sameruizumi Kame marks began appearing. Of a siverish white color (not unlike his own normal skin colour) they were short lines covering various areas of his body, all ending in points going forward. Just looking at them made you feel as though hiru was actually charging towards you, strengthening the image of speed that this form seemed to suggest.
d20 [11] + Chakra Control [55] = 66 (pass/fail) [09/09]
Finally, his entire body having turned, the external chakra layer changed the image of his clothes. The effect was, obviously, more aimed towards minimalizing the quantity of clothes he wore, but also to hide a bit his belonging to another shinobi village. Basically, speed shades appeared on Hiru's face, racer gloves now covered his hands (not his fingers and one had a small Kirigakure metal plate on it; and a sea shell decorated his left ankle. Even Samehada had a turtle shell decoration attack to its handle.

Hiru was a bit unsettled at first by what could certainly be qualified as a new body. He was truly amazed about how thorough the transformation was. It was indeed a fairly simple technique but this unusual fusion of two techniques had significant effects on his morphology; something that would certainly take some getting used to. As far as he could see and feel, he was now just as much turtle as shark.
Looking at his body, it appeared as though he was now covered with scales; but that these scales were in turn of the texture of shark skin. He still had the heavy muscle structure of a shark; but it also paired with the apparent buoyancy of the turtle's morphology. All in all, Hiru was surprised to see that this fusion of two creatures from the sea did not actually conflict with each other; but actually complemented quite well.
Moving around a little, he couldn't help but notice that this heavier frame came with a very visible hindrance to his mobility. Even though his shell was probably the less impairing one he had seen on a humanoid turtle, itt was nevertheless an extremely sturdy exosqueletton and its weight necessaril made the burden reduce his speed and overall natural agility. Of course, this was something that could be corrected.
Jumping into the water, Hiru quickly realized that this greater weight was almost offset completely by this body's natural ease at moving underwater. The reduced weight added to his body's morphologies made his movements extremely fluid and fast; effortlessly swimming from destination to destination with significantly greater speed than when he does not have this technique channeled.
Thinking back on the application of this technique, Hiru could certainly see it as a great help in duels, especially the ones wher ehe'd have to go man to man against a skilled fighter. Using the Water Heaven Convergence technique he could condense water around this new body as he swam around the battlefield to dramatically increase his ability to dodge and attack.
Kuchiyose: Kame Henge Jutsu (Summoning: Turtle Transformation Technique) A testament to how completely the Sameruizumi Kame accept shinobis who enter a contract with them as their own, they have developed a technique that allows their summoners (or willing targets) to take on the appearance and form similar to that of a turtle of their group, along with all the advantages and hindrances that that might represent. In a similar manner as a summoner using Kuchiyose without an active contract will be transported to the land of the creatures he would most likely have a strong compatibility with, the caster of this technique, given the great diversity of the Cool Springs Tortoises, will take the form based on his affinities and general profile. Not all shinobi like the end result! Cp Cost: 20 cp + 3 cp per post. Dice Rolls: 3 Damage: n/a Reflex DC: n/a Requirements: Sameruizumi Kame, Kuchiyose no Jutsu, Henge no Jutsu, Chakra Control 25, Ninjutsu 25, Concentration 15. Training: 3 stages. Stage I: Ninjutsu DC 35, Merging a regular henge with the Kuchiyose technique to "summon" a turtle appearance. Stage II: Chakra Control DC 35, Coating your body with chakra and turning it into actual turtle matter in order to take on more than an image. Stage III: Concentration DC 25, Adapting to the new body to use it efficiently in combat. Special: User takes on the appearance as well as all limits, characteristics, and abilities of the Sameruizumi Kame, in addition to his own.

Quickly adapting to this new turtle body, Hiru began accelerating his movements gradually to see what speeds he could actually reach with these added abilities. Wanting to have an idea of the full potential this form could provide, he stepped out of the water of the shoreline and onto solid ground. Looking around for a while to make sure no one would be around to be bothered by his training, he found that the place was apparently entirely his for the moment.
Weaving a few hand seals together, he cast the Water-Heavens Convergence technique. Immediately, water bubbles lifted up in the air and started condensing around his body. Once this was done, he cast another hand seal to use the water gliding jutsu. As he did, a small layer of water formed under his feet and was ready to be guided in any direction. Hiru quickly realized that this technique alone prety much compensated for the weight of this form.
Once these two jutsus were cast, Hiru weaved a boar seal to activate the Swift Step technique, as this would further accelerate his movements. Now with the full benefit of his underwater physiognomy on the ground, with his movements being dictated by the intensity of his chakra and futher accelerated by nature manipulation, Hiru dashed forward, the water forming a tunnel leading to his chosen destination.
The result was almost unbelievable... in the blink of an eye he had crossed the entire shoreline clean, from side to side. Behind him the water was still a step behind, raising up seconds after he had actually stopped. Hiru couldn't say for sure, but he almost had the feeling that with enough training he could combine these various techniques to travel faster than a bullet... or even the sound of its deflagration....
Jinton: Semeren (Swift Release: Barrage of Strikes) Channeling swift chakra into his arms, the user unleashes a flurry of strikes against a target, leaving practically no time to react. Hiru walked around for a bit in his new turtle form. It was certainly an interesting technique which could have its benefits; but also, very clearly, its own set of problems. Indeed, like all of the turtles he had gotten to know, he certainly felt a lot sturdier; but he felt like his weight had doubled to all accounts from the shell's burden and the increased bone and general muscle mass.
d20 [14] + Ninjutsu [55] = 69 (pass/fail) [02/09]
Hiru's worry was mainly concerning his new "Swift Release" ability and how well it would complement this technique. Certainly, his turtle form had been clearly designed to reflect speed and to hinder his movements as little as possible; but he remained a shelled reptile nevertheless. Wanting to give the form a test run, he thought he'd try to expand on his Jinton repertoire, hoping training this way would work towards better synergy between the two schools of techniques.

Trying to focus on his won strenghts, Hiru was trying to conjure up an idea on how he could possibly channel this very potent ability to sync in with his fighting style, he pondered upon his specific set of abilities to see if anything was particularily lacking. Of course, his ninjutsu skills and his ability to control chakra were on par with some of the greatest shinobis in the world, this certainly wasn't where he'd have to focus his efforts for the moment.
d20 [15] + Ninjutsu [55] = 70 (pass/fail) [04/09]
Since he'd been promoted to the ranks of the Swordsmen of the Hidden Mist, he had begun investing in his skill in wielding his new eapon and partner: Samehada. Obviously, if a Samehadamaku was certainly a potent weapon, Samehada was in a league of its own. Heck, it was the league itself. Being priviledged enough to be bestowed the opportunity to wield it demanded that his style be somewhat refocused around its abilities.
d20 [08] + Ninjutsu [55] = 63 (pass/fail) [05/09]
Given that the slight reorientation of his fighting style was fairly new, even though he was a very capable melee fighter, his skills certainly weren't where he would need them to be at this point. He could hold his own against a shinobi relatively of his age and experience but would completely outclassed by any expert swordsman he'd come across, and that certainly would be a problem around these parts...

Hiru was actually lucky that the experimental goo they saturated his bloodstream with gave him a limit that mostly enhanced his effectiveness in close quarter combat. These techniques made him move with dramatic efficiency and could basically speed up everything he could manage. There were certainly hundreds of way to use this to devellop a new technique.
d20 [16] + Ninjutsu [55] = 71 (pass/fail) [07/09]
So far, he could speed up the speed with which he could weave hand seals, an ability which had already proved very useful in his spar against his former ANBU partner Fenrir. He could also increase the speed of his arm's motion to decrease his opponent's time to move out of its way and to increase the blow's impact. How else he could improve on it is something he'd have to wonder about for a bit.
d20 [14] + Ninjutsu [55] = 69 (pass/fail) [08/09]
As ideas ran through his head, he quickly realized, that, even though he could accelerate a small part of an attack to increase its swinging speed; he did not know a way to chain attacks together more quickly, something that would definitely be an asset should he have an opportunity take a shot at an opponent who was temprarily held in place (what pretty much always happened with his syrup techniques!)
d20 [03] + Ninjutsu [55] = 58 (pass/fail) [09/09]
With his usual analytical approach to creating jutsus, Hiru realized that this technique would only be slightly different from his technique to increase swinging speed. Basically, instead of increasing the speed of the second part of the attacks movement (closing in on the target) he would have to find a way to efficiently increase its first part (putting his weapon into position to strike down).
