Ishira
Ishira was stirred from his slumber by thirst. He groggily got up and walked past Rhaplanca's bed. A moment to for it to register that she wasn't there and his head whipped back to do a double-take. She wasn't there his eyes widened and he was fully alert now, "Rhaplanca?!" a million worst case scenario's played through his head, "Vegna!"he gritted his teeth and noticed Yue was gone too. He frantically bolted out to the room and burst into every room in the guest wing with the same intensity. Finally after a dozen rooms he forcefully had entered Vegna and Noaah's room. The clash of the door opening was enough to wake the whole shrine. All that he noticed at this point was only Noaah was in this room, "VEGNA!!"

 "I'm glad you like it," she laughed, "I've got Yue here to cuddle at night so I'm more than happy to give you Pepen," she pointed to her shoulder but Yue was burrowed in her hair. Reluctantly Yue poked out his head and gave a short cordial ,"nyu," before slowly climbing over her shoulder and into her lap.
 Rhaplanca sighed, "When I find the Chronicle of Orgel I am to decide if Rhemi needs to be replaced. It's true that Rhemi's power flow has weakened significantly, but Rhemi still has so many years left," she reminisced, "She and I are only 7 years apart. Our live span is very long, about 150 years," she looked down at Yue, "I am only 18 so Rhemi is 25. As you can see she has a very long time left," she placed a hand on Yue's head and lightly pet him, "But something happened to cause the power loss. If Rhemi is damaged," she choked on the word, "I will have to sing in her place for the rest of my own life yes," she frowned and leaned back, "But that doesn't mean we cannot be friends. I would like to make as many memories to take with me as I can," she smiled.
 She looked back into Hikari's sad eyes, "You know," she paused with a short laugh, "Rhemi and I were and still are friends. We were both selected as possible Live Givers. We both underwent the same painful installs and amazing hymn crystal download. The promise I showed as early as 7 was enough to make them pick me over her," she frowned, "but Rhemi insisted that she be chosen. She wanted me to live a free life in her place," she held her head with her hand, "sometimes I think if I hadn't stepped down that she would never be put into such danger. I would never forgive myself if she were harmed," she quivered.

NoaahThe sudden burst of the door made him jump, as his eyes glanced right at the door, bringing the covers up to his chest.
Now, although Noaah was quite obviously a boy [even though he did have rather prominent feminine traits], mentally, the genes which governed femininity were quite potent and present, dominating the genes which made him more verile and masculine. "S-Stop!! P-Pervert!!" he squealed, covering himself with the blankets and hiding underneath. However, he heard what Ishira had said, and lifted his head from underneath, still blushing a sweet pink. "Vegna...?" he looked over at the other bed, noticing that Vegna wasn't there. Had something happened...?
Quickly, Noaah draped the covers around him, almost like a dress, as he stepped out of the bed, one arm clutching the covers to his body, as he looked around for his clothes, instead of the jammies he'd been given. He turned so that his back was facing Ishira, and with much internal debate, let go of the blanket, revealing his semi-nude body, only wearing the undergarments that the maids had offered him. In the blink of an eye, he'd gotten dressed as fast as he could, not wanting the other to see anymore then he strictly could, and turned around, blushing lightly.  "Y-You really should knock before... a-anyways, what happened...? Where is Vegna? Do you need help...?" he asked, seeing the look of worry on the other male's face. He was obviously panicking over something more then just Vegna... He wondered what it could possibly be.

Ishira was momentarily deterred by Noaah's feminine shriek, "Per-pervert?" he choked. Noaah's shyness and quick change caught him of guard and he looked away to give him privacy We are both guys... why are we embarrassed? Noaah eventually got him back on track.
Ishira's rage returned and he grabbed hold of Noaah and comically shook him back and forth, "Don't play dumb! Rhaplanca's missing too!" he ceased and dropped his arms to his sides. He turned around and began to walk out the door, "Forget it I'll find them myself," he muttered, "and if he's done anything to hurt her I will end him."

Hikari~
The girl grimaced at the word installs. She'd had more than her fair share of them for some reason or another. Perhaps it was all for that dreaded song that could have sealed the world's fate. Day after day, being locked in a dark cell and the only light she saw was when they would open it just long enough to give her another day's worth of painful installations, forced into her installer port on her left shoulder. Not caring how she cried in pain, or how terrified or embarrassed she was. Not caring if they were damaging her very soul...
"I know about installs," she murmured softly. "I hate them. Especially the Life-Extending Agent." She cheered up a little looking at Yue and reached a hand forward tentatively. "He's cute. May I pet him?"
When Rhaplanca spoke of Rhemi, she looked at her sadly. "She did that for you? You must miss her a lot. And I know we can be friends even if we're apart, but... I just couldn't bear the thought of someone I care about locked away only to sing. I know how it feels and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. See... I'm sort of running away. I've been locked up for most of my life. Something happened not too long ago and I managed to escape from them. But I know they're looking for me. They will want me back to sing that awful Hymn they forced me to download and sing." She shuddered. "Which is why I was trying to get to that city... where the Reyvateils are. But I think I want to go with you, to help. And when we find the Goddess, maybe she can help set you and Rhemi free so you won't have to be locked away to sing anymore."

"Of course you can pet him," she allowed. She even encouraged Yue to go to Hikari's lap, "He's actually Ishira's but for some reason he likes Reyvateils," Yue confirmed by happily making himself comfortable in Hikari's lap. She listened as Hikari revealed her experience with installs.
 "I've never gotten used to them either," she said remembering the pain. As Hikari revealed more she was appalled by the sins of mankind.
 "How could they defile a Reyvateil like that?" she shouted as she stood. This is the world that Rhemi and I have worked so hard and been put through so much to protect?! She was fuming so much that she barely noticed Hikari's change in subject.
She knelt in front of Hikari and grabbed her shoulder non-threatening manner realizing that the previous conversation was about her, "Listen, no matter what they forced you to do," she looked firmly into her eyes, "as long as you are never willing to do anything against your morals you are not a bad person," she explained.
"Pallieu would do no better to you," she admitted remorsefully, "I will offer you extra protection as well as my vanguard Ishira," she smiled, "I am glad to find someone to help me find the Goddess. I'm truly grateful," she dropped her hands into her lap.

Hikari~
Even among Reyvateils I wouldn't be safe? Hikari sighed sadly. That city and the Goddess were the only things I had to believe in. One is missing, and the other I still wouldn't belong there.
She patted Yue on the head, deep in thought. "I might be alone, though. And if I am I'll be nothing but a burden. Are you sure that you both will want me there?" She was really starting to feel tired.

Yue rubbed back against Hikari's hand, "I seriously doubt they've abandoned you. Did they say anything before you realized they weren't around?" she asked.

"Umm... Mana was with me, I think. I kinda passed out so I don't remember much," Hikari said sheepishly. "But when I woke up, she was gone. So was Gannon. Miko doesn't like me really so maybe she convinced them that I was nothing but a burden." Hikari chuckled sheepishly. "I don't blame Miko really. I have been nothing but a burden on them all. I wish I could be more like you. I can tell that you're really strong. And not just your magic. You're also really kind. I guess I just wish I was that kind and strong. I mean, if someone told me that my life's mission was to be sealed away to sing... I don't think I could do it." She stared up at the sky, looking at the stars when that dizzy feeling returned, but she gripped her knees tightly and said nothing, not wanting to worry Rhaplanca. "Who knows, we might end up sitting out here forever waiting for them. If that's the case, you should go on without me. I don't want to trouble you or your vanguard. It's much too difficult for one vanguard to guard two Reyvateils." The girl frowned. She really wanted to stay with Rhaplanca and help her. Hearing what she'd said to her, it make Hikari feel as though she could make up for the bad things she'd done.

"I think you know the answer to that already. Or at least I would hope you do, Mana." The younger twin spoke in a flat voice. "But that's not the only thing. You were supposed to come back to see me. I really needed you when Uncle died. I was really unsure of what to do or how to help Auntie. At least with you there, I could have had someone to support me. Instead, you were following that Reyvateil around to who-knows-where." Miko looked away. "You care about that girl more than your sister, obviously."

"Oh, get off it, Miko," Mana snapped. "You know as well as I do that you're much better with that kind of thing. I would have had absolutely no clue what the hell to do. I didn't want to come back because of them, not you. They've done nothing but belittle us for the whole time we've lived there. I left because I was tired of it. I tried to take you with me and it's not my fault you stayed for the abuse! Yet, you take every opportunity to take your frustrations from it out on me. I don't think so, Sis. This, right here, is the reason why I took so long. Somehow, I knew that you'd take their side. They've brainwashed you, damn it! You're just too caught up in this whole 'pity me' act to notice. And helping Hikari has nothing to do with this. When I see someone in front of me who needs help, what kind of person would I be to ignore it? I would be just like that dear family you love so much!" She stormed ahead.

"So the fact that I needed my sister didn't matter to you? This has nothing to do with our family! I left them to find you, and you're too stupid to figure that out." She shouted after her sister and spun on her heels, hiding her face in her hands. Part of it had hurt her deeply, but she realized that some of Mana's reasons were the same as Gannon's. Have I become an awful person staying with my family? Here all along, Hikari has needed help desperately, and I was so consumed with my own problems and jealousy that I didn't pay attention. Nor did I care. Maybe that's the reason why my clairvoyance hasn't worked since after I met Hikari. She thought to herself. "I'm going back, Mana. Back to check on Hikari. We've left her alone for too long."

"Sis..." Mana turned around. "Look, I'm sorry, okay? I know you went to find me. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you." The elder sister approached the girl and put a hand on her shoulder. "You're my little sister, okay? Nothing will change that. And nothing will take that away, either." She glanced up at the sky to take note of the time. "Crap. You're right. We've been out here way too long. I'm sure Gannon was expecting us to watch Hikari while he took care of his loose ends." She groaned, not wanting to picture what they might have been doing. "If we hurry, maybe we can get back before he does and no one will have known we were gone." She glanced back at Miko. "Sisters? Friends?" She held out a pinky with a smile.

"Definitely." Miko said, smiling. "Now let's get back! I don't think it's wise to let Gannon find out we left Hikari to herself, even if she was only sleeping." She had begun running, dragging Mana in tow by her pinky. Not only that, but I would like to apologize to Hikari. Hopefully they could get there in time and Gannon would be none the wiser. Soon, the building was in sight and Miko breathed a sigh of relief. "I don't think he'd be done yet, right?" She whispered to her sister.

"Let's hope not. If he's as much of a playboy as he lets on, then we should be okay," Mana whispered back as she opened the door of the inn. She didn't feel like arguing with Gannon over leaving Hikari to herself anyway. Besides, what would he have to be angry about if he found out, anyway? It's not like he left for any noble reasons... She silently justified.
