"N-No! It's not like that!" He looked away quickly before covering his face.

"There are many recovering Military-loids in this city. Most from many other series. . . I would suggest staying far from the X-series as they are the most trouble. . ."

Delic was carrying the bright red apples over his shoulder and was humming a song to himself as pink music notes fluttered behind him from his cigarette smoke. It was all and all a good day...he'd have to apologize to Tsugaru tonight at the Karaoke bar though. He looked up at the sky. The one thing they helped build back from the ground was this city. . . and it was beautiful now. . . "Hibiya would want a castle at the hill. . . he'd have loved that. . . " He chucked slightly, a smile crossing his lips.

The blond tilted his head. . . so strange. . . this X-series. . .He couldn't just kick him out of the town, but he didn't like them either since the accident with Shizuo. . . His mind flashed back to that moment, the pupil of his eyes flickering to white for a moment before returning to black again, a pang rushing in his chest momentarily.

"Get goin'!" Shizuo held the dented sign before him, preparing for battle
"Shizu-chan! What are you doing?!" Izaya was held back by Tsugaru quickly
". . . I've got no choice. Just go, I'll catch up with you" He smirked as he gave a thumbs up, "Leave this one to me!"
". . .Shizuo-san" The younger blond took a step forward, "I'll stay too!"
"Delic, you're going! I need you to do me a favor"
"Anything, Anything!"
"Protect Izaya-kun for me."
There was a crash as they were separated when the blond bartender charged at the Brute Leader head on.

He shook his head and frowned. a sudden jolt of pain running through his being before looking back at the X-series. . . the X-series caused much pain to their small group. . . but there was no way to verify that it was them. . .

"Stop teasing mom~"

"Hah, good to know that you're functioning right to fall for someone" He smiled.

"Noo~" Taketomi stood, "I'm not telling!"

"Doesn't surprise me that there are X-series in this place. . ." He frowned as he shifted the cigarette in his mouth, "I'm sure you already know I'm here too. . ." He sighed and paused as his phone rang again, "Yeah? Oh. . . Izaya-sama? No, I just picked them up. . .Another errand? Yeah I can do that, sure." He listened for a moment and sighed, "Another courier run? Damnit, you know how much I--No Izaya-sama. . . it's fine. Yeah I'll handle it." He hung up the phone and stuffed it into his pocket.

Delic twitched, "It's my job to protect Izaya-sama. What about your job? I heard that an X-series did the E-series in not too long ago. . .was it you?"

Taketomi's face flushed red, shuffling a bit embarrassed, "Stop trolling, mom"

Aittus finished signing the last of the documents, "Alright, done here"

"Right" Tsugaru snapped his fingers again, the documents vanishing once more before he looked at Taketomi once more, "Taketomi Langel, welcome to our school of arts. As do I hope you find this place a settling environment until we can rightfully take you back to where you all belong"

Rave was pacing back and forth in thought, trying to figure out just what he was going to do about the current situation. He frowned in deep thought, "We're going to have to pull out the worst thoughts known. . . we'll have to send Bass, Kai, and Ayu back into the Junkyard program. It's inevitable. We need that core, and the only way to get it is from a fallen E-series." He looked back at the brothers and their tired friend, Victor, "I'll try to find the highest location of cores, maybe we can get somewhere if we collect more than one, might even be better in case this happens again."

"Ayu, Bass, Kai, front and center" Kanas remained calm as he awaited the three.

The admin bowed his head, "Have a lovely day. I hope to see you here tomorrow bright and early, Taketomi-kun."

"Yes sir." He gave a nod and looked over at his mom, "I won't, promise"

". . . " Delic recalled that tragedy as he had to destroy one himself with his bare hands to protect Izaya, "This is true, but Kai has been in this town for some time, unless instructed, he will not attack. He is just like the rest of us."

"Ayu, Bass, Kai, I'm going to have to send you on a dangerous mission to aid Kai." He folded his arms, "I need the three of you to go back to the Junkyard and find a new core for him."

The family always had enjoyed their time together, but to spend it this close to them was nice.

". . . Also true, but I'm sure his colors will come around, even Tsugaru agrees that something good is going to happen, and it's no fortune type of thing either." He had recalled messaging his brother while picking up the apples, they had a small conversation about the new student Taketomi Langel. It was a sure thing to the two of them that something good was going to happen.

"Your access has been approved thanks to me" A black haired male entered wearing a parka and a smug look across his face, "I don't usually pull strings like this, but I'd say you lot are the best mechanics in this city, and Tsugaru is a hard head."

"Bass, Ayu, and Kai, I'd like to finally introduce the man who gave us the permission to convert millitary-loids, Izaya."

"Pleasure to meet you all" He paused looking a Kai with peeked interest, "And you must be Kai. The one that got his core stolen. I was hoping to get another core to you myself, but it seems like Sugar's Military children aren't able to collect them close to the border anymore." A sudden smile crossed his lips, almost like a fox's, "I think I'll know where to go. Thanks to Delic, I've been able to make a map, but I request only one thing for the approval of this scavenger hunt; I want you to search this area." Pulling up a map on a hologram base, he pointed at what seemed to look like a ruined city, "It is where there has been the most activity, but Delic is weary of traveling too far on his own as Tsugaru refuses to enter the Junkyard too far. Do you think that is a fair trade?" He looked at the -loids with careful eyes, almost as if to be studying them.

"The decision is up to them, as this is Kai's core we're talking about. And since he is still running on the incorrect core, I'm worried something will happen to him." Rave frowned, "Any way you can talk to Sugar about Conbine?"

"Not likely" Izaya held up his hand, "Tsugaru and myself still haven't validated his time even in the city. The only reason we allow them into the Junkyard program is because of the S-series that he works with as they apparently were partners in the Junkyard. . . I ponder still . . . what would happen if I let that E-series run around." He seemed lost in thought for a moment, a rare scene for the brothers to witness before he looked back after laughing slightly, that smug smirk back, "A curiosity for another time I suppose!"

Delic would have hit the x had he not had Izaya's apples with him. The Mechanics in this place could never convert the E-series properly but even so, he wanted to punch this X-series.
