Micheal DeCourt

'Micheal, Roman's been hurt. I'm going to need your help.' The flashy dragon and his bound heard through Dark's connection he still had with the pair trying to get more information. Dark next decision didn't take much as he knew where Micheal was at. Dark's wings then spread and shot straight up and turn to fly away from the pair, and the Draining stop. Dark flew fast as he could and got close to the tree tops.

Micheal Jumped on Dark placing himself right above where the dragons wings were and using his mane as his sure grip would not give under the speed Dark fly's at. 'We are on our way, though we are a lot further away from where we originally split, if these two leaves us be, Sorry Jay, Just let him zone out as much as he can, he needs to be unconscious.' Micheal looked back as Dark continued to fly to make sure nothing was thrown at them.

And it seemed that nothing did trail after them, magic, dragon or otherwise as Micheal and Dark followed their course toward the other two.

--------------

Jay looked down and wanted to tell Roman that Micheal was coming, that she would stay near until he arrived. She had to stay quiet though and let him fade into unconsciousness, however. She wanted to do the opposite and tell them both they were crazy and the only thing he would fade into was death. That was what she was use to happening when someone was passing out.

But they were vampires though and this was different than having another human hunter on the field where that would likely be true.

Movement ahead caught the side of her vision, and Jay lifted her head, her empty off-hand already sliding out the short sword at her hip, her other hand still holding the bow.

Positioning herself so that she was crouching low and defensively over the young-looking man in the grass, she spoke, "Who are you? Who are you with?" Scars on her hands and dirt on her face, none could hide how she settled into her stance as if she were not a newborn to blade or to the bite of one in such possibly compromising situation.

Rakura Lynn
Target got a frustrated look, though happy to know his brother is alive, changed? How?
"He is my brother, nothing about that has change, Kocerou what is the way back?"
He waited for the prince to respond.

"Walk forwards," Kocerou replied, "I'll see that the path takes us back into the ravine."

The world around them seemed to blur again and the golden path fell away as Kocerou murmured quietly under his breath. Then they were in the damp air of the ravine again and the wall was solid behind them. Koceoru let out a breath of relief.

"Put what has happened from your mind," the Prince said firmly, "Whatever has happened to your brother cannot be helped right now. We must wait until the scouts return."

The Reborn flinched and stared at the woman who's hostility was evident in tone, and body movement. "I am with no one... These events... They are curious to me, made me wonder... What is it that is happening, what is it that makes you so angry... Fighting and bleeding..." Her words were a rather long strand of unending phrases, just a rambling mess as she tried to draw her thoughts into formality.

She flicked her eyes toward the man in the grass. He was wounded in more ways then one, yet... Gods, how confusing.

"I mean no harm, I promise thee." She stepped, her hands raising from the long sleeves to show them empty of weapon. "I do not even remember what hurting someone is... How it happens." She laughed at her own thoughts, tilting her head, before looking back toward melee and flames that made her shudder for an unknown reason.

So there were a large amount of Fae in the area then, though they couldn't be certain which side they were on. In any case this Reborn may be able to get them a lead or so on this case. The fact that this one was such an outcast also made it hard to figure out if it may have had any loyalties to either side should it know more than it let on.

"A civil war of sorts is on its way you could say. But where are these Fae residing exactly?"

---

<> murmured Astalder to Blade mentally. The human frowned at this news, not really wanting to deal with the knights here. With any luck, it was just someone on patrol who had little to no knowledge of the situation at hand.

Not wanting to cause a stir, the black dragon continued on his path at the same pace while occassionally glancing to the approaching pair.

---

Ares practically wiggled beneath the Mage's hand as he was patted. Sure some of the other creatures around had less fortunate fates, but he was given food and shelter here. That was always a good thing. At the mention of watching something, he jumped up onto all fours and practically lept with excitement.

"OH! OH! Yeeessss. Can we do that pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase?" he pleaded while his tail wagged like that of a puppy's.

Ruscar gave the knights a well-practiced baffled look. He was very careful to pretend to be affiliated with no side. The Reborn was quite pleased to be feeding the knight misinformation. It would be a shame if the pair turned out to be allies, but they were knights. It was much safer to assume they had affiliated with the non-traitors.

“How scary. Is the royal family okay?” murmured Ruscar before getting back on topic. “I was chased from my home in the south. You will probably want to check there.”

His lips twitched as his fangs showed in natural retaliation. It was sadly all he could do now beside grin and bare it. The smell of burning still hung in the air, some of that fresh plants charred by the Fallen that put him in this position. But he wondered if he did not kill the Bound. Was that why he sensed the hostility of the ranger?

Then the new scent was there. What was it? Close to a dragon's but yet not.

Roman focused on scents as he slowly sounded out the sound of voices as much as he wanted to listen, but he was taught and injury like this he was in no position to be all worked up. No matter how much it bothered him he needed to let go. Hearing only mumbles of the two conversing, Jay would handle it, she was always smart about these lousy situations he would end up in. Romans facial features relaxed as his mind was force in to a clouded darkness.

Micheal continued to keep watch to not take any chances. "Just try to find them as quick as possible ok Dark, and we'll see how bad he really is."

Dark nodded and then banked into a glide in the air as they just flew over Micheal's horse and heading towards where smoke was lightly rising in the air. Knowing his vampire brother he would most likely start one, the second he has a reason to.

Why was she angry? She could think of far too many responses to that, instead choosing to divert the questions back to this stranger that chose to appear with such unusual timing.

Those marks upon the creature's face she easily recognized as scars from stitches... or were the stitches still there? Flamelight played over the multiple skin colors, a disjointed colorful harmony that was disturbing, but certainly not what had her focus. Even as she watched this non-human form reveal her patchwork arms, showing them to be bare of any weapon that could be seen by the naked eye, it was the unearthly feeling off a hundred tiny insect legs crawling beneath her skin, an itch that she had not grown accustomed to yet that had her attention.

"What are you, if you should remember that much?" the ranger asked roughly, eyes now fully locked on to the newcomer. This unusual jumble did not seem human, but if it was not so, then what was it? It was not vampire. Yet wings adorned her backside much like that of certain Bound. There was no dragon in sight to be this one's other half unless said dragon was simply farther away, an unusual choice but one that could happen.

Listening to the Prince he didn't pay much attention till they were once back at the ravine again. Target shivered his body to shake his uneasiness of what just happen, till he spoke again and Target manner was toneless.
"Then stop speaking about it."
True his brother might have changed, how and why, Target didn't know and as far as he was concerned right now it's not as bad as they are both making it sound. Target then looked around the ravine, "what now?"

Kier was wandering again. He'd started off fighting invisible enemies through the underbrush. When he had finally made his nonexistent foe admit defeat he had celebrated dancing around in the clearing of his triumph. Finally having tired himself out he curled up on the ground, considering a short nap. In the middle of his considerations his eyes drooped and closed in actual sleep. It never occurred to him that wandering off on his own, making a lot of noise in celebration, and then falling asleep in the same spot was not the best idea.

"We wait," Kocerou said simply, "Return to the tree throne. I must hear from the scouts before I decide our next course of action."

And think about what he had learned from Risen, but this was left unsaid and the Prince was broodingly quiet.

-------------

Fae patrolled the perimeter around the ravine to ensure that if their location was discovered that no one would be able to report it back to the King and his army. They went in groups of three and this particular group suddenly drew to a stop as a whole, all three sensing that something was amiss. Their captain gestured and without a word the female of the group went on ahead, walking carefully so as not to make a sound. Her feet were hooves and her legs were jointed like a deer.

She stopped just short of the sleeping dragon, falling into a crouch and letting her fingers slip off the hilt of her sword.

"Oh," she said in mild surprise, "A hatchling. This is... unfortunate."

And she took a stick and carefully prodded the sleeping Kier.

Kier startled awake at being prodded. He was on his feet now at least, but his eyes held that startled-but-still-asleep look. He shook his head, his mane flopping about, to clear his mind.

He wasn't sure he was actually awake though, or if he was still dreaming about far off lands and creatures. He'd never seen a fae before, so he couldn't really tell what sort of creature stood before him.
'Be brave, you're a hero. Be proud.' he thought to himself, straightening his posture and lifting his head proudly to look right into the fae's eyes. Yes he was scared, but he denied it. He was a hero, nothing would scare him.

"Hello." He called up at her, his voice a touch wavery betraying his fear. He frowned at it, unhappy to show weakness. Heroes never showed weakness.

After the Prince and his companion were gone from the Path, Risen took the form of a fae and wandered out into the woods to watch from a closer perspective. He would not take sides though. Not unless there was no other choice.

"Well," the fae girl said, "This is a problem. You're much too little to be Bound, but you're still too big to be left running about. There's a war brewing, don't you know that, hatchling? Who let you run off on your own?"
