Flamgra walked past Briza with nothing more than the appropriate nod and partial bow. He pushed open the doors of Lari's chamber and walked casually inside. He was incredibly uncomfortable in these robes, even though they were black and made of a fabric resembling satin. On the back, drawn in a deep purple was a symbol honoring Lolth. Flamgra approached Lariexith's throne and knelt down before her.
"You called my lovely matron?" Humbling himself and honoring her, before tilting his head upwards to meet her gaze. As was the respectful way, he would not rise until she gave him leave to do so.

Lariexith did not answer the Weapons Master right away. She drummed her fingers on the arm of the chair as she sat there and analyzed him with a serious gaze. Finally she sighed and adjusted herself in her seat, "You may halt your sources on the surface. The goggles will not be needed any time soon. Our plans for war have been changed. Rylinndar claims that it is Lolth's Will that Hun'afin destroys Alaenduis to redeem themselves. And we take third rank. Personally I'd love to gain two ranks instead of one. But if its Lolth's Will then I will not go against it. I tried to ally with Hun'afin but they refused. Which leads me to believe we will more then likely go to war with them in the near future. I thought it was a good idea to arrange an attack while they went to war with Alaenduis. Being out of favor with Lolth and trying their hardest to redeem themselves would lower the guard at home plate, so to speak. But then I realized how ill prepared we would be. I don't want to act irrational, make a scene, push my head into things blindly, and more then likely create my own ruin for the House. And so I have figured a new approach. Once Alaenduis takes its fall, Tor'afin will have no allies. Gaundroth has moved on months ago. So I'm thinking of hosting a meeting with the lowest House of Ulorbbath and building my way to the top. Vic'tyrr's scout group has informed me that the lowest House in Ulorbbath has some interesting benefits that may come to play for Tor'afin in time. But until then I'd like you to carry on your normal duties. Also, there is a ritual today. After finding out that we are in favor with Lolth, I'd like to host a ceremony in appreciation and gratitude. After prayer there will be a ball. Normally when a member is invited into the House, a ball is held in their honor. I unfortunately could not host a ball around the time you joined the House. Too much was going on. But now that we have our second member joining and our time of preparation is not so dire, I see time for a ball and to relax. You may take your leave, Flamgra. Keep your ears open when its time to enter the Temple."

Aunae walked after the other members of the house. Some sneered at her, while other just watched, and others came up and greeted her.
I almost wish some had just stayed away and sneered. As they neared the Royal Sanctum she noted the mote surrounding the building. As they got closer, she noted that many got quiet or calmed their voice to a murmur.
"What-?" She began to ask and then Shyntdra whispered.
"The mote has a special creature dwelling in it depths. It rumored to attack people who near the house who are not calm in body and mind. Though its only suppose to happen on the bridge, people as you can," She spread out her left arm indicating how the crowd waiting behind the bridge. "try to calm themselves before it go near the bridge."
Aunae smiled, "Well that is one way to keep out the crazy people." Shyntdra laughed quietly and then looked over towards the doors.
"We're going to have to wait in till the doors open. That when you know the Temple is ready and that mass is ready." Aunae nodded her understanding and waited glancing occasional towards the doors while Shadntdra introduced her to some other magic users.

"I see,it is disappointing but if we are in Lolth's favor, than all is not lost. Perhaps she has plans for the house, our glorious and exaltant goddess is not much unlike yourself. Always several steps ahead, I shall take my leave and send word to my troops. I will still get the goggles, better to have them and not need them. Than to need them and not have them. Lolth's smile upon you matron" Flamgra returned to his feet and turned away, casually walking and taking off the robe once he left her chamber. If the ball was later he wouldn't wear this until later. He wore only his trousers, boots and bracers. His chest easily show the many scars from battle and capital punishment.

As Briza made her way through the Royal Sanctum, she picked up a good handful of slaves that often roamed the royal quarters seeking out orders from the Nobles. These slaves were female humans dressed in revealing linen. They portrayed the ultimate weak race and humilation of female imprisonment. Their backs were branded with the Tor'afin crest along with their limbs. Some of them had more branding then others. The number of brands can count how long the girls have been serving under Tor'afin.
Briza led the lot into the Community Ballroom and ordered them to start prepping for the celebration of the newest members of the House.
She then had a male guard stand to watch their progress at the arched doorway before running out and across the Entrance Hall, into the Temple. There she announced the ceremony to the female drow peons that often roamed and maintained the Temple. She ordered one of them to go out to the Dungeons and come back with three elven females. The drowess nodded at the order and quickly rushed off. Seeing that there wasn't too much to be done in the Temple till the drowess returns with the sacrifices, Briza then returned to the community ballroom to continue giving orders there.
No more then an hour later, yet another female drow peon came to retrieve Briza from the ballroom to go back to the Temple and analyze the sacrifices the other peon had retrieved.
Briza then once more swept the entrance hall in a few strides and walked down the stairs into the Temple. Incense had already been lit as its musky scent hovered in the air heavily. Three female elves stood chained on the stage before the sacrifice table.
Briza stood before the stage and looked at the females, "They look good to me. The wardens took good care of these beasts. Least they don't like starved. That wouldn't look very appealing to the Matron. You know how my mother prizes on good looks. She enjoys tarnishing their beauty herself rather then they already be looking unhealthy. Plus it helps to set the mood. I think what would look better however, is to set them in the back, behind the sacrifice table. Have them chained before Lolth's face. That would seem...poetic, don't you think? Our Goddess haunting their backs, watching their deaths. Plus they will be able to watch their kindred deaths as my Mother picks them off one by one. Or however she wants to do it. It'd give her more stage either way. And the House will be able to witness everything. Plus we'll have the seven drowess' on either side of the sacrifice table in case she needs help. Yes... I think that will be good. Also, if you would. Give them the sacrifice injection. My mother requested for it specifically," as Briza spoke, the peons worked harmoniously and did everything as ordered at once.
"That's perfect. You may allow everyone to come in now. I'll contact the Weapons Master and my mother," Briza then walked out of the Temple and up through the halls to seclude herself in a quiet place. She then pulled out her brooch and contacted her Mother first, "All is ready, my Matron. We wait now for your presence."
Then she tossed up her brooch and caught it and then contacted the Weapons Master, "Flamgra.. the ceremony starts now. Please come as soon as you can. My mother will be expecting you. Your seat is a throne marked with your name in the front before the stage. You sit with me..heh.." Briza then pulled herself away from the brooch and walked back down into the Temple to sit on her own Throne. ~~~~~ Lariexith got Briza's message and had already been in her room getting ready for the ceremony. She was wearing a see through strapless red, golden sparkled dress with slits coming up both of her thighs. As usual, she would be going to the Temple barefooted and she wore no jewelry, just a pair of dangling earrings that were spider shaped. On a small garter was her sacrificial dagger. She did her usual make up as well. Dark eyes, loopy designs on her cheeks coming down from her eyes, and dark lips. She did her short hair up in a small messy bun with random strands of hair coming down. When she felt she was ready she then exited her Sanctuary and was accompanied by two guards as they led her down into the Entrance Hall and stopped at the doorway as she gracefully swept the Temple and stood upon the stage. Looking at the sacrifices, she then turned to look down at her daughter and gave a nod of approval. Lari then stood by the podium and waited for everyone to enter the Temple. Getting in the mood for the coming prayer.

Aunae walked into the Royal Sanctum with a mix of awe and admiration. Her eyes scanned the towering walls, catching sight of the odd human female. Clearly they were slaves from the collars and branding and they appearance seem to a testament to their weakness. She smiled as she turned with crowd and caught sight of the most beautiful temple she had ever seen. Her steps didn't falter as they carried her along with the females. There almost seemed to be a secret order that they all followed spell casters with spell casters, warriors with warriors. None moved out of rank. She spilled in with the other casters and seat allowing one thought to cross her mind that wasn't truly tied to the wonder of the place and then settled back, I'm starting to believe that I was guild to this place the Goddess hand. She didn't forget my loyalty.

Flamgra groaned as he got the news of the ceremony. This one again meant he would need to wear those uncomfortable dress clothes. Unless... Flamgra quickly got to work cutting up one of the dress robes, until there was nothing but what resembles a loin cloth or a hip sash. Ofcourse he wore is trousers under it,but his outfit now resembled an Egyptian style ceremonial skirt. His chest was bare and he wore the braces on his wrists. This should suffice as a ceremonial outfit and not force him into those stuffy robes.
Flamgra brought only one sword with him,a weapons master without a weapon was not very useful now was he? Should anyone attack the Matron,he would have only his fists and his hand to hand combat was still something to be desired. Blades were his passion and the tool of what he considered artwork. Flamgra quickly made his way to the ceremonial chamber, his ceremonial skirt bore the Tor'Afin insignia on the front.
"Greeting my lovely matron" Flamgra knelt down before her and lowered his head. Exposing his back and neck which were also heavily scarred from battle and capital punishment. His fist drawn across his chest and placed over his heart. As was his usual greeting for the matron. He awaited her approval before standing and sitting upon his minor throne.

Lariexith watched as everyone filled up the Temple and sat in their appropriate seating which was by class and gender. Nobles in the front, female magic users, female warriors, common females, and then the males all in the back. She watched as her Weapons Master was one of the few late ones. He entered and seemed to have said something to her but the Matron couldn't really understand just vaguely read his lips in the dim lit Temple. Either way, he nodded his head and took his seat.
Lari waited till everyone was accounted for and quiet. One of the elder drow female peons nodded her head to indicate that every House member was present.
The Matron then looked at the audience before looking back at the chained sacrifices that were now looking at the sacrifice table before them. Their fates already foretold. Lari then looked back out at her House gathering and raised her arms and smiled as a welcome gesture.
"Welcome children of Lolth! I have brought you all here to share some exciting news! My visit with Rylinndar was at first disappointing. She told me that it was not our place to wage war with Aleanduis. Instead, we have a free ride. In order to redeem themselves, Hun'afin was committed to take down Aleanduis. But as it stands currently, Tor'afin is in favor of the Goddess Lolth! And it was then I was enlightened with the words that spilled out of Ulvira's mouth. Our previous ceremonies were not overlooked. The Mistress of the Demonweb has heard us, just as I thought it would through our strong faith! And so I was deeply moved and deeply inspired to throw a ceremony right away to give our Goddess our appreciation and gratitude! Let us join now in personal prayer all that Lolth has done for us! The trials we have survived, our everlasting faith in her great work, our non existent doubt. Without no chaos there can be no end. And without no end, there can be no beginning. We revolve the world, we move time, we were chosen by Lolth! We are renegades! We are chaos control! We are the time keepers of old! We are Lolth's children!"
Lariexith then allowed everyone to nod their head in personal prayer as she then turned around and walked up to the first female elf sacrifice. She touched the girl's cheek then whipped her hand back and slapped her hard across the face. The sound was enough to awaken everyone from their prayer as they gazed up and gave back their attention to the stage.
Slipping her sacrificial dagger out of her garter, the Matron then slid the flat of the blade along the girl's neck, "Such pathetic creatures. Females below the males. Filthy mud dwellers that play among the woods as though they are beasts! Funny how they were the ones that banished us. But little do they know, it was purely beneficial to us. And we became much stronger then our cousins. Through our flourishing power in the hands of our Great Goddess, the mud dweller fae can be considered the missing links. They are the un-evolved. They are the apes of the family. The very beasts they have chosen to play among are the beasts they have become! The females are useless in their civilization... thusly, they will not be missed!" Lariexith then ripped off the elf's clothing and jabbed her dagger in the woman's side before ripping her flesh towards her to create a huge gash. Then slipping her dagger back into her garter, Lariexith then dug in the carcass and retrieved her uterus to hold it out to the crowd and place it on the sacrifice table.
"For the first sacrifice, I have dedicated it to the news I have received from Ulvira! Which was the words of the Spider Goddess herself! Oh mighty Mistress Lolth! I am severely proud to say that I am honored we are graced by you. Thank you for answering the calls of your faithful children. I cannot begin to explain the intensity I feel to know that your smile is upon us. Thank you Great Goddess...thank you," Lariexith stood there for a full minute with her eyes closed. For those that sat close could probably see the tears running down the Matron's face, causing her makeup to run. The uterus still sat on the sacrifice table, the blood forming a puddle around and steadily dripping off the sides. The first sacrifice still appeared to be alive. The magical injection was keeping her alive and able to witness the horror of the entire event. At this time, she didn't look like she could speak. Her breaths were shallow and ragged as if she were in shock as she looked on in disbelief, a part of her sitting just feet away, out in the open.
Lariexith then gradually stepped back and allowed the drow peons to light fire to the uterus. With her magic, Lari twisted and billowed the smoke to give more effect, "Dear Goddess Lolth, may the sweet scent of carnage, chaos, and the burning flesh of our inferiors reach you! Hear our call!"
Relaxing her hands, the smoke suddenly dispersed in the Temple's arched ceiling. Lariexith then turned about and flipped out her dagger once more to the second sacrifice, "These mud dweller Fae possess no dignity to elven potentials! And therefore, they do not deserve the one feature that signifies the elven race!" At this, the Matron then sliced off the woman's ears and held them up to the jeering crowd before slamming them onto the table.
"With this sacrifice I dedicate to Lolth's guidance! I ask to move our House onwards from this point! Bask us in your glory Mighty Mistress! Show us wisdom! Let us reign terror and chaos in your name! Allow the House's reputation to be feared and reckoned upon! We are your most faithful our beloved, Queen! Hear us as we sing out your name! As we offer our sacrifices; our very souls!"
The Temple started to become more rowdy as the Matron finished up the second sacrifice. Lari then stepped back and allowed the peons to burn away the ears. She then waited for everyone to calm their jeers before continuing, "The third sacrifice I have something special in mind. We have a new house member.. Aunae... please step to the stage..."
Lariexith then snapped her fingers then as the peons unchained the final elven woman. She struggled in their grasps as they lead her to the sacrifice table. The dried blood from her comrades was still visible. They chained her on top of the table then resumed to their positions. The Matron stood passively on stage, gazing out at the audience, searching for the newest addition to Tor'afin.

At the start it seemed so calm, different. The order of the seating, the beginning of the mass. As it continued though, Aunae had been swept away like all in the crowd had. This mass isn't a brief glimmer of the goddess's design, but a realization of all the beautiful chaos that as her children they were gifted with, she thought as the crowd waited for the Matron to continue.
And then she heard her name. The thoughts, oh the thoughts, hopes, and fears that filled her in the one moment kept her chained to the seat as she watched the slave being released and then chained to the table. It was an internal chaos that hummed in her veins, but as the Matron looked out over the temple the chaos seemed to inform her of her one duty. She stood. Then she stepped out into the main walkway. And through the same chaotic thought process walked towards the stage. Stopping, she stood on the last step near the top step and bowed towards the Matron. She waited for words that would push the chaos in her to act.

The Matron's ever wary eyes caught sight of Aunae the moment she stood up from her seat and began to make her way to the stage. Lari watched as the drow female stopped on the last step. Sweeping over gracefully, Lariexith approached her bearing a maniacal grin with glittering, wicked dark red eyes. Her gestures at this point were a little elaborate. Her arms remained in mid air which gave the Matron an airy grace mixed with a little bit of insanity.
"Come, my child. This is your test of loyalty to Lolth as well as commitment to your new House! Step over here... closer... to the sacrifice table. I will take you through this one step at a time.." the Matron then turned about and began to head back over to the table.

Trust, Aunae had learned at a young age was something displayed multiple times. Test, after test, after test were thrust onto her in the name of shelter and family, or worth and power. Despite that she had always been the final judge. She had no judgment here. They're were others, whom she could not bribe or persuade. And death was probably the only sentence for failure. She was excited. Ready for what was to be asked of her. Whats is life without the chance of death. Dull. She glanced at the Matron, her controlled insatiability quite noticeable and, she admitted to herself, admirable. Nothing was better then knowing that a truly maniacal Matron was in control of your fate. Dare I trust her not to lead me straight into the heart of the abyss...well by joining I've already answered that question. Their steps stopped in front of the table and she waited giving a mocking looking towards the supposed elven lady.

"You have joined Tor'afin under an oath of loyalty. Now you must present to us everything you are willing to give. Know that Tor'afin are the faithful children of Lolth. So everything you give to Tor'afin... you give to the Great Goddess!
See this elven woman as your avatar. Cut her. Mutilate the features you find will express you. Slice her face to take her vanity, chop off her hands to represent your craftsmanship and magical abilities, rip out her uterus to display your sexuality, and so on."
The Matron then nodded to one of the peons. They went over to the podium to retrieve an engraved box. The peon then approached her and opened the lid to show a sacrificial dagger with the Tor'afin crest on the handle.

Aunae listen closely to the words of the matron, while her eyes remained on the thing. Its blue eyes plead to hers. Calling out to right some sort of wrong, but Aunae couldn't see one. She really just saw an annoyance that was about to be of use for something. When the Matron had stopped she turned to look at her. When the peon opened the small box. It was as if there was lid that had been opened in her mind. She turned back to the thing and presented a small smile. The smile seem to reassure the thing. Aunae chuckled inwardly, this is going to be fun.

Flamgra watched the ceremony with delite, even trying hard not to laugh when he witnessed the elven woman's cries of pain. This whole spectacle was hilarious in his eyes. Watching the mud dwellers and beast charmers die slow painful deaths was music to his ears and the look of pain and anguish on their face was like a priceless wine.
His ceremony seemed meager and unimportant in comparison but such was not unexpected. He was a male living in a female run world. He sat bare chested and with his long sword strapped to his back. This new one had a certain fire about her, the look of pleasure and glee in her eyes when she was to take the blade. This one could be a valuable ally...or a possible usurper, sure she would lay and wait and earn the matrons trust. But she could turn at any moment and try to take over the house.
He would need to keep a close watch on this one,he was loyal to the Tor'Afin royal family. Matron didn't matter,be it Briza or Lariexith, he would follow their rule. But this one,she could have other plans for the house, strip him of his weapons master title and reduce him to the rank of a servant. This he could not allow.
