~::Midnight Channel Recap::~

Periodically, images will appear on the Midnight Channel at midnight on a foggy night. When Soji witnesses these images, his account will be placed here in the Announcements for everyone to see. These images will be visible at the same level to everyone with a Persona at the time, but will always be clouded and somewhat vague to those without a Persona.

The following recap is written in a first-person, real-time account by Soji Seta [feel free to recount your own experiences in your own posts, at your homes]!

[6/17] Midnight Channel [12:00 A.M.]

...There was something on the television!

...However it wasn't the face of Simon Kongo, nor was it the outline of anything human. Nor was there a clear voice speaking to the people who might be watching the television at home, or a background that they might recognize from any of the previous incarnations of the Midnight Channel that they had seen. Everything was shadowed and dark, black and white checkered tiles on the floor with red pools of blood at the bottoms of the walls which seemed to drip the liquid. Everything about them seemed twisted, corridors branching off and ending in the static-riddled image that made it hard to tell just where inside of this labyrinth (and it was a labyrinth by the look) the image might have been. There were...forms moving across the screen every so often as well...wild hands flailing in the air as they reached out, pulling themselves along in some sort of a crazed fashion. Even though they barely had any semblance of humanity it was easy to sense, to feel from the movements and look that in these things there was fear...panic in their rush as though escaping from something, some great terror down the halls of the corridor. Every so often there would be a flash of eyes, golden and wide, the twisted fingers pulling and dragging through the pools of blood...and what was more telling was that all of the fleeing shadows were all moving in the same direction, unified, like shadows were almost never apt to do. It was as though they were all bound by this one errand, this one fear that drove them to flee...

More telling than any sight, however, even more unsettling than the golden eyes, wide with fear, or the pulling, flailing arms were the screams...high-pitched, inhuman, and utterly reeking of terror. Wild shrieks of fear and panic and pain echoed down the corridor like the cacophony of Hell, and each shadow that passed the screen wailed in horrible fear of some ominous presence that was moving ever-closer...away from the other sound which had been quiet at the beginning but was swiftly gaining volume, drawing ever-closer to the screen with each passing second. Away from the sound the shadowed figures fled like locusts through the skies, like lemmings chased over the hillside by some fearsome predator. And as the sound grew closer ever-did a great, black mass from the corner of the screen...the far end of he long, winding hallway that cast a pitch black shadow upon the wall that writhed and wrung over itself and twisted, as though some awful, pulsating thing had cast it...

Until now the distant sound had been something like static on a snowy television, all white noise like crumpled papers and a rapidly-shaken maraca. Now it drew closer and it grew louder, crew clearer...it was wetter, more alive and somehow less human as the shadows drew closer, closer, closer...! And suddenly, the shadows rushing across the screen were overtaken, some of them pulled back as if snatched and squealing in fear and agony as the oncoming mass of writhing things seemed to tear them apart and devour them bit-by-horrifying-bit.

User Image

...And then they were everywhere, long, dark, slithering arms all long and thin and utterly inhuman, writhing and mingling and flushing through the halls like some great dam had burst and the water was crashing through the corridors only it was all fluid flesh of some sort, a deafening sound that was less white noise and more of a wide, all-encompassing and echoing hiss.

But even above the squeals of the shadows as they were torn apart and devoured, even above the screams and the hissing and more than the strange mass of snake-like limbs writhing through the halls...more prominent than all of this, more terrifying...

Was a deep, satisfied laughter which chilled the bones, light and thick and satisfied, ringing in the ears and striking icy bolts of lightning into the hearts of every single soul that was listening...

"MHMHMHMHMMHMM...AHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

...

...And then, just as quickly as the images had appeared, they were gone.

He had seen it alright...he wasn't even sure what the Hell it was supposed to be, but no matter how many nights he slept and how hard he tried, he didn't think he would ever be able to get the image of that scene erased from the deepest reaches of his mind. It was like something out of a nightmare, all pulsating and wretched, inhuman but somehow that voice had been...human, a consciousness to the mass of serpentine death ripping through the corridors of whatever dungeon that had been. For something to be that terrifying, that twisted and wretched that even the shadows quivered and panicked and clawed away in fear of it. He wasn't sure when but he had shuddered, the cold chill running down his spine at the squeals a sound that would echo inside of his mind for years. And when it was over he somehow felt thankful, but he felt determined at the same time. He had been given some time to heal now, and here it was right before them...the threat that he had been warned about by Tatsuya Suou, wherever it was, whatever it was. There was a reason that he had seen this thing tonight, that he had been warned about it...it was something that he, with his powers and his friends a this side, had to stop. If it was the ghost of the Data Dungeon World come to haunt their steps again, then they would simply exorcise that ghost for a second time, letting the dungeon fall to pieces in their wake just like the last time. Though, that hadn't looked like the Data Dungeon World...with the twisted walls, the pools of crimson liquid streaming into puddles at the feet of the shadows as they drug through it along the checkered floor...his mind was racing with thoughts of what it could have been, where they could have been, even as he sat in the dark living room on the couch, his clouded eyes were shining brilliantly with numbers and strategies that they could use.

He had flipped the switch...the Investigation Team was going into battle once more.

"Senpai, do you think it's...?" the small, clear, feminine voice in the dark was tinged with nerves, almost shaken but just strong enough because he was sitting there beside her. He hadn't even known that she was awake just now, content to let her relax until she felt rested and then spend just a little time with her before bed. They had been staying together more and more lately, leaving one another at night later and later, as if subconsciously sensing that their time together was potentially growing shorter by the day. He still hadn't told her about what Minato had told him he would have to do...he hadn't told anyone except Yukiko, as far as he knew, but...this one he didn't know how. Still, he had responsibilities, but they became more and more expendable as he spent his days with Rise and Nanako and the people who he cared most to be with. The days were numbered...it was just a matter of whether it was his own or the town's. And he knew what the answer to that question would be in the end. So a smile came to his lips as he heard the voice, a comforting but confident smile in the dark that was brighter than it needed to be and cleansed instantly some of the fear from that beautiful face he never wanted to see stained that way. She was still so young, so bright and innocent in spite of everything and all the growing up she had been forced to do with her work...she shouldn't have to do all this. But without her, he really was lost. "What do you think that was?" she asked tentatively, and he tried to hide the sympathy in his next determined look...he knew she wouldn't have wanted it, and it didn't matter...they had to do the work now anyway.

"We have to find out," he said finally, the silence becoming all-pervasive between them despite the relatively short time span, "Send a message...we're going in first to see what we can find. We'll sort the rest out inside." His hand slid across the distance between them and long, strong fingers laced their way between her smaller, more frail digits. He put all the steel and confidence he could muster into his clouded eyes as he caught hers then, trying to will away the exhaustion that he saw in hers. When would all of this finally end? Would his friends ever be free of this, really free, even if he were gone? They had fought more than they ever had any right to, more than anyone could handle, and far more often. And here they were again, ready to dive forward into the abyss. It was all too much. But he knew they had to go, and he knew that in the end he would make sure that if things ever went wrong it wasn't her who suffered. He would do whatever it took...that was his constant refrain, his motto every single time he went into battle...do whatever it takes not just to win, but to end it. ...They thought they had ended things with Hetero that day. They thought they had come closer to the end of everything. They thought...

She smiled back at him when she saw the confidence in his gaze, and he was glad that she bought it just then because a moment later he was looking towards the door with a stern look, finding that perfect calm, that cold and efficient place fueled by his determination to protect his friends that made him the hero that he was. He could already feel the voice of Izanagi humming inside of him...feel the gentle whispers of Izanami in his ear.

It was time to do what he was meant to do, again. And it didn't matter if it was Simon or Raiden or Adachi himself this time. He would do it like always...and together, they were going to win.

"Got it!" his girlfriend's voice chirped, supporting him as she always did, "I'm with you."

"Let's go..."

Shin Megami Tensei
Persona 4: FES

Time moves on, but days stretch on like years in the shadow of Tartarus. Soji Seta, the leader of the Investigation Team and the hope of Inaba, has fallen from the top level of the Tower of Demise.

And not one person on the team, no matter how hard they have tried, has seen him since.

Every night since, in the Dark Hour, the Tower has appeared in place of the Junes Building and loomed high over the town of Inaba...most of its sleeping public ignorant of the shadow that had fallen upon them. But for those who are awake during the missing hour of the day, who see the Tower, have been unable to enter it and explore its depths even with the use of supernatural force. Nightly patrols by the Embryon keep a close watch on the Tower and ensure that nobody ventures too closely, but in spite of their presence, a great darkness seems to lurk near the top...and every so often screams can be heard from within the Tower, some like the tortured cries of a damned soul, others like someone pitched in an endless series of battles. And yet none of them seem to shake the ominous presence emanating from the very top...golden eyes which some say can be glimpsed through the clouds themselves looking down upon the town from the top...

Seven days have passed since the Tower came into the Real World. Seven days since the countdown towards destruction began. Seven days have passed and throughout them, strange incidents of 'monsters' attacking people in town and other 'monsters' saving them have begun to crop up like wildfire. Seven days since the Investigation Team went home, exhausted, with only the faintest of hopes that they would ever see their friend and leader again...

...In seven days, they haven't stopped looking...

And neither has Tatsuya Suou, who has called a meeting with a couple of the members of the Investigation Team to deliver some new information in their search for Soji Seta...

Sunday Evening...
June 24, 2012. A warm summer Sunday, the sun slowly dips beyond the hills to give rise to an all-pervasive dark, like every night in recent days before. Inaba has experienced an ominous, but welcome reprieve from the constant attacks that have been lobbed in her direction of late. Only recent incidents of 'monsters' attacking humans and being rescued by other 'monsters' seem to be breaking in the news lately. And all remains quiet save for distant voices inside the Tower of Demise.

The Investigation Team continues its nightly and daily search for any word on the fate of their friend and leader. Many of them, like Kanji and Naoto, have been looking constantly ever since that day...others like Yosuke and Chie keep their ears open and ask around town when they can...and some have scarcely been heard from since.

On the night of the incident, Zeo Kirijo never arrived at the Floodplain. He remains missing, likely looking for Soji in his own way.

And every day at the Marukyu Tofu Shop there are rumors of a former idol looking out of the upper level window in the direction of Junes, forlorn...waiting for word.

...

Tatsuya Suou also has not given up the search, splitting his time between his duties to his own organization and to look high and low for any sign of the man who freed him from the grip of the shadows. Tonight, after a week of silence, he has called a few of the Investigation Team members together with some new information...

It is once again, Evening.

Hey guys, sorry, the General is working us overtime training tonight, so I can't get out to meet you face-to-face...but I hope this message works.

I've finally caught a whiff of some rumors you might find interesting. There have been reports of a young man wrecking some thugs after dark who were going to break into Aiya's and rob the place. Now I know this wouldn't really be something to complain about normally, but listen...the reports say that the mystery hero was using a 'monster from his head' to help him fight.

...Sound familiar?...

Go Downtown (South) after Dark and you might be able to find something.

Good luck,

A Message from Akihiko Sanada...

Hey guys, listen up!

I just got a call at work from the guards at the Dorm. Something's wrong...they said that they were at the gate when Ellen attacked them with her persona and knocked them unconscious! There was a note left behind for Allen and Toru...

'Follow me to the city in the middle!
Beneath the cars that rumble down...
Into the gullet of a clown...
Come and win me back if you can solve this riddle.'

...I thought about it, and I think she's talking about Okina. It's almost the exact midpoint between Iwatodai and Inaba and the only stop on the train between the two. As for the other...my bets are on the old theme park that shut down last year after an unreported Shadow incident caused a car to go out of control and kill a passenger. ...Mitsuru and I were the ones who ended up taking that shadow down. Anyway, it seems like it's telling you to come meet her at the Funhouse in the park.

Be careful...there's no doubt after what happened last week that this is some sort of a trap by Strega.

I'd come with you, but I'm too busy here. I'm trusting you to go and get her back.

Call me if you need advice...I'll be waiting for word.

::New Elements!::

Earth skills and Water skills are now official elements for use in Persona 4: FES. After some deliberation it has been decided that the two elements shall be added to the guild. Along with these two new elements all of the boosts, walls, evades, swords, resists, and nulls will also be added. In the spirit of fairness all currently empowered characters may now choose one medium skill and add it to their skill list. This means that even if you have maxed your skills you may now add one medium skill to their skill list (so you can add a resist for the new elements if you want)

::Inaba Nightly News::

The newscaster on the television is wrapping up the nightly broadcast. Turning to the camera as the credits roll, he prepares to deliver his parting shot.

"And that's the news for tonight. Stay tuned for 'Who's Who' with Trish coming up right after this! Tonight, Trish speaks with a very special guest...the young boy-prophet of the increasingly-popular Nyxist religious sect that has become quite the craze in the wake of recent developments in Southern Japan, including right here in Inaba. We speak to him about the rise in popularity of this 'Nyxist' religion, whether or not Apathy Syndrome is just a test from some divine being, and just how he came to rise within the Nyxist Group at such a young age. All of that, and much, much more...all in just a few moments.

...At the sound of the tone, the time will be 12 A.M., Midnight. Good night everybody!"

11:59:57...11:59:58...11:59:59...

The clock strikes Midnight and the television shuts off abruptly...and then, to the surprise of all who are watching, so do the lights...their cars...every electrical device in their possession.

...One look to the sky reveals a green, sickly-looking sky and a golden moon so bright and ominous it could send a chill down your spine. And lining the streets, just inside open windows, and speckled across town are coffins, stark and red, everywhere you look.

...Once again, Inaba has entered the Dark Hour...

The Dark Hour.

Friendly Neighborhood Not Friendly Person Reminder

The Event is, quite honestly, becoming a drudgery. As a result, I will not be operating on a 1 post every 2 day system in order to efficiently end the SEES-2 event. Any character who does not post before every time I do, will be KO'd in order to facilitate the ending of the event so we can move on to fresh things.

I'm not trying to take any fun away; far from it, this is in order to stop those who refuse to participate further from taking entertainment from those who are participating further. Furthermore, any remaining rewards may be based on activity, so you know...stop lazying around, or suck it.

[Time moves forward...]

Shin Megami Tensei
Persona 4: FES

Time moves on, and the optimism that the Investigation Team held onto in finding their lost leader has yielded an unexpected result...and tests that will drag each of them to the very edge of their abilities and sanity both. Following the rumor of the silver-haired attacker near the Aiya's Diner, they discovered not Soji Seta, but a creature known as a 'Shade', the incarnation of the evil unacceptable even to those who can accept their shadow as their own. Confronting Rednal's Shade, they were not alone...joined in their efforts by a strange new persona-user who claims to have received his power from the light descending from the Dark Tower on the night that Soji fell...could his powers have been a last gift from Soji Seta even as he fell to the Earth in defeat? Another persona-user, Nix, was discovered and has claimed the same thing. And while they still have not found a definitive lead to the location of their leader, all signs are beginning to point to that slim hope that they kept kindled deep inside their hearts...that he is out there somewhere, even now, waiting to be found by the people who love him.

...

Elsewhere, the SEES-2 group suffered a terrifying experience in Zazi of Strega's house of horrors, with one of their team falling permanently victim to the Night Stalker in all his horrifying glory. Emerging with their ally, Ellen, returned, Minato admits his pride in what they have accomplished...but knows that the real tests for them are yet to come. What was the purpose of the experiment at the amusement park? Could he really have intended to destroy Okina in a single strike? And if so, will there be more tests such as this to come?

...

Devil Summoners train to become stronger in the Dark Realm, another plot to destroy the capital is thwarted..routine fare for she who bears the name Raidou.

...

And the new Shogunate continues to press its influence upon the land.

...

What tests still wait in days to come? Where could Soji Seta be that his friends might find him? And what is the truth behind the rise of the New Generation of Persona-Users?

...

Time moves on...

Sunday Evening...
June 25, 2012. An unusually peaceful Monday, with school starting again for the first time since the death of the Emperor. The weather is warm and mild, with clouds and a possible summer drizzle in the forecast for the Evening. Yesterday's craziness is fresh in the minds of those who experienced it, but for everyone else, it's a chance to get back to their daily lives again. Their Emperor's fall is still heavy on their hearts, but with all that still threatens the town still about, none can rest too easily...even if they are used to the darkness by now.

Elsewhere in the capital, there are important announcements expected to come in the next couple days. In his first major address since his acceptance of the role of Shogun, Motonari Mori is going to be on television speaking about the state of the capital, the future of the Emperor's Throne, and much more.

...

And with regards to the Search for Soji Seta, Tatsuya Suou continues the search, splitting his time between his duties to his own organization and to look high and low for any sign of the man who freed him from the grip of the shadows. And the Investigation Team waits patiently for his word...

...School will begin in the 'Morning'.

It is once again, Early Morning.

Introducing...!
The Taihaku (Tachibana-Hakushaku) Demon Clan!

History: Descending from the great 'Oni' Dosetsu Tachibana and Muneshige Tachibana of the West, a pair of great Sengoku Era Lords who swore their service to the protection of the Lord and Country of Japan, the Taihaku Clan are a branch of Deity-Type demons whose strength has unified many demonic clans scattered throughout the country, allowing them to live with the blessing of the country and without the danger of exorcism by the Yatagarasu and/or attack by the many militant forces in the world. Bound by a strong loyalty to their Lord, Clan, and Honor, they live by their vow to Lord Taihaku and their duty, however, the types who comprise the Taihaku are all sorts. Militant, wild, refined...all sorts of demons have come under the protection of the Taihaku, and so long as their actions are not obviously detrimental to clan and country, their bloodlust restricted to the battlefield, their right to exist is safeguarded by Lord Taihaku. For this, all who come under his banners are thankful to him...

As part of the alliance, demons come together at their lord's command and discuss the affairs of their clans, the duties handed down by the shogun, and defend their Lord's interests...and the Lord himself. It is a diverse, powerful alliance...full of interesting and dangerous allies. And with the return of a shogun to the throne of Japan, their duties have just become even greater...but to what ends shall their Lord lead them in service to the Shogun now? Will their alliance survive these troubled times?

...

[Taihaku Clan Members may be created by anyone with permission from Arena Emperor, currently. Requirements are an unshakeable loyalty to the clan and willingness to abide by the rules and directions of the clan. Backstory should include how the alliance with your demon/clan and the Taihaku came to be, why your loyalty is strong, etc. Please ask Arena Emperor, Rednal, or Necronomium for more details.]

...

And now, the Taihaku Clan makes its first move in service to their new shogun...and the hunt for rogue Summoner Ichiro Kuzunoha and his 8-Headed Orochi begins! Below is the beginning...the Taihaku's dive into Iwatodai, and the beginning...

Taihaku v. Orochi...begins now in the Event Subforum!

Lord Seo Taihaku of the Tachibana-Hakushaku Demon Clan

User Image
It had gone well thus far, their intrusion into the city of Iwatodai from their estate on the outskirts, but there had been a sense of ominous eyes following them from the station all the way towards the Port Island, a hidden malice and an unblinking eye following them everywhere that they might have gone, weighing upon them, surrounding them, and Seo hadn't missed it. He knew that the moment they had come into the domain of the snakes that their enemies were watching them, lying in wait in the 'grass' of the sprawling city. Somewhere like eyes in the shadows and figures in the alleys flashing by just faster than they could see, that sense of being followed but never being able to turn fast enough to see your pursuer. If this was a trap, the Orochi were executing it perfectly, allowing them to wade further and further into the net before they pulled the rope and held them in. ...It would have been more ominous and unsettling if this wasn't exactly what their Lord had anticipated would happen, knowing that their 'charge' would only lead them into the spider's web, or snake's den, if you preferred consistent metaphors. It wasn't getting the element of surprise that Lord Seo had deemed key to victory, it was rather the superior strength of their team and its individual parts that he was confident would overcome their enemy's challenges and allow them to emerge victorious...or at the very least, emerge with their lives. His standing orders were, as per the usual, to fight until the battle had been decided one way or another...but never waste your life if death became your only option. His soldiers and clan heads were too precious to waste, and a dead soldier was no good to anyone. Any honor lost could be later regained by fighting the same enemy that had beaten you before and emerging victorious the next time...at least, that was his thoughts, perhaps influenced by his own weak grip on mortality. Though when push came to shove, Seo Tachibana-Hakushaku was more than willing to spend his own life if it meant the defense of the rest of his clan members; hardly the actions of your typical lord, but what good was his expiring life when weighed against those long, enduring lives his followers might yet live in service to the next leader of the Clan? Nothing...everything...

It was in the district of the Shrine that the feeling of silent dread became more ominous than ever; heavy and thick, a killing intent and malice that began to grow with each passing moment. All of the eyes, all of the thick spiritual pressures that had been tracking them suddenly spiked all around them, and the trap was revealed. Drawn deep into the territories of the snake, the were surrounded by the agents of the enemy. Pausing his leaping through the tops of the roofs in the city, hidden from the sight of the humans who went about their daily lives below, he dropped down low into an alley in one of the least-populated areas of the Greater Iwatodai sector and his clan fell in-line with them. All about them he could feel the enemies closing in, a circular formation spread out across the city and closing in, could hear their silent taunts and laughter through the corridors of the city, and his eyes could see...there were many of them, some more menacing than others, and one whose presence surpassed them all. Folding his arms as his sandal-clad feet touched against the blacktop, their swift march had come to a close. Smiling faintly, his eye closed and he waited for his allies to fall in behind him. Now was the time for him to trust in their skills, to trust in the power of their clan. ...He was ready.

"Our enemies got here sooner than I expected. They're surrounding us. ...But the target lies in wait shortly ahead of us. I will go on..." his voice was solemn but light as it ever was, his easy attitude meant to defuse the tension thick in the air and the suddenly-perilous situation that had overcome them. All at once they were here, in the moment of battle, and their enemies had the upper hand. ...They had only one option left. They could not run without conflict. ...It was time to do what they had come here to do. "Ichirou's allies are closing in...do not allow them to reach your Lord. You are proud Taihaku Clan Members, and this is an order from Lord Seo Tachibana-Hakushaku. Hold them for as long as you can, and if you are overwhelmed, escape to our estate knowing you have done all you could. I shall do the rest..."

Suddenly a deep wind blew from the front, like the breath of a devilish serpent or perhaps a demon, ominous, threatening...Seo smiled as he brushed over the pale skin of his face and turned to glance over his shoulders. "There will be a great feast back at the estate when we're done to celebrate our victory. ...I look forward to sharing a celebratory sake with each of you. Do not disappoint me and die," Seo smiled brightly but beneath it was a serious edge, "Understood?" Not a question, a statement...and a promise they would have to make him. And just like that, he turned and began towards the greatest of the ominous presences that had surrounded them, beckoning him forward, ready to greet him.

Would he do his ancestors proud and make some use of this fading life of his? ...What a thought! How uncharacteristically serious of him...

Quote:

!!YASOGAMI HIGH SCHOOL UNDER SIEGE!!

* ~:: Sand Trap - The Infamous Amago Haruhisa Incident ::~ *
(Location - Yasogami High School - Recreational Fields)

Cold Afternoon, June 26th, 2012. Yasogami High School - Soccer Fields.

Cold air, dripping rain...all of those things vanished in a matter of moments. Footsteps like the chimes of a grandfather clock echoed in the air at the approach of a man who looked upon his target with all the disdain of a man who had lost everything...staring at his retribution. His vengeance. High in the sky above the sun began to beat down upon the school angrily, a dry, arid feeling that was entirely out of place in this sulky environment falling upon the students, sweat licking skin, the afternoon crawling forward with an eerie sort of calm that was just begging to be broken. And high above, gray eyes with a hateful, indignant gleam glared upon the Yasogami High School Building with ill intent. This had once been his lands, rightfully, but it had been lost centuries ago to war and deception...how came his hour to reclaim it. That pompous b*****d that had stolen it from him then...now he sat like some fat, satisfied feline upon the throne of the country and expected that nobody would be able to challenge him? But that fool had a weakness and it was so, very obvious. Did he think that he could just betray him again in this new world and get away with it? Did that man, that b*****d Motonari Mori, really think that he could hide away his weakness in this place and expect that he wouldn't FIND it?!

High above the school a man stood with a tide of ominous energy flowing behind him and a team of shadowy companions. His lips curled into a smirk as he raised his hand, the very earth on the field beneath him seeming to rumble to life at his call.

"Well, well, I'm glad to see so many interesting people gathered here at this school today, your parents must be very proud...but this land of fantasy, every grain of sand and grass, they're mine. You're all just squatters on the territory of the Amago Clan, and so...it's about time you started to pay your rent."

Like an arrow loosed from the bow the tide of sand suddenly shot forward and into the windows of the school it crashed, shattering glass everywhere and gripping several of the students before they could react, pulling them out onto the practice field and encasing them in a shell to-the-neck of crushing, gripping sand that could destroy them at the drop of a hat. Leering at his work, the sand retracted from the rooms, leaving the remaining students to look out the window at a man who stood atop a tide of the granules that had attacked them, smirking down with a sense of absolute satisfaction. Behind him, all his shadows watched with varied expression. This was their moment of triumph...no more hiding in the shadows for their like! Their moment had been perceived...and now they would take what was rightfully theirs!

"Listen up! Cause I'm only going to say this once. My name...is Haruhisa Amago, and I am the once and rightful ruler of these lands! Every last one of you is a willing puppet of a false Lord, and I'm here to take back from him what's rightfully mine. ...And, his," he lifted one of the sand grips and a student rose to his side in the air, suspended, crying as a grip of sand squeezed him terribly and made him yell in pain, "All of you have exactly one hour to find and bring me the girl called Koroko Minori. Hand her over, and this will go smoothly. If you don't...I'll kill poor Taro Tanaka here and a new one of you every ten minutes until I have her. ...In the meantime, why don't you all just come out to the field here and relax! Nobody has to die here today. ...They just might if you don't cooperate. It's not that bad, right?" His wolfish smirk belied his honesty...there was a satisfaction about his actions that he couldn't quite hide. This was checkmate on that b*****d...he'd finally taken something back from him that mattered. Now once he had her in his possession, he could hold it before his eyes and watch that damned mask of his shatter. It would all be so satisfying...

"Oh, and don't bother trying to run or hide. My men will be checking every corner of this place for Koroko and any stragglers. If you try to run, or you try to smuggle her out of here, you're dead. Fair's fair, after all..."

With that said, his followers scattered to all corners of the building, swift and dangerous, their powers notable even to the stronger ones present. This was serious business...the normal students hid or began to file out as directed in fear. There were, of course, those who would fight or who would try to run...but would they be successful? Could they really protect Minori from such a dangerous attacker?

This is the Tale of the Infamous Amago Haruhisa Incident! ...Um, how did it go again?

Shin Megami Tensei
Persona 4: FES

Peace in the town of Inaba once again proves elusive; the Infamous Amago Haruhisa Incident comes to an end, but the students of Yasogami High School and the town itself have endured another trauma to add to a list that is far too extensive. Though no one was hurt, many lives were altered, perceptions about a national hero changed, and the lines between good and evil grow ever-blurrier. Who are the heroes? Who are the villains? And just what is the driving force behind the struggles that test them all?

...

Meanwhile, in Iwatodai, a mysterious end has come to the confrontation between the Taihaku Clan and the Orochi, but despite not knowing what happened when the Lord Demon and the Orochi's Head came together, the Taihaku have claimed their efforts as a victory. What really took place inside the walls of that building when the doors slammed closed behind these two titans? Is there unfinished business yet to be done? Or is there something more sinister in the works within the shadows?

Whatever the case, the Taihaku proceed home in hesitant jubilation. Their Lord, ill though he may be, has declared a celebration to honor their victory. And so on the outskirts of Inaba, within the grounds of their estate, the heads of many clans come together to join in...and take stock of what they have accomplished!

Time moves on...

Monday Evening...
June 25, 2012.
It is once again, Evening.

Evening comes...will the residents of Inaba finally know peace? Or...

The Nightmare Begins!!!
(Event is Now Open!)

Vacation from the craziness of Inaba has brought you to the American Mid-West...finally, you have a chance to unwind and be free of all the supernatural horror that plagued you during your days in that town, all the demons and shadows and the humans who were capable of heavier atrocities than all of them combined. Through the long plains you ride, through the scenic Arklay Mountains and into a sleepy city seemingly in the middle of nowhere. This is just the place you wanted to be, as far from that crazy, Japanese town as possible...away from all the terror and the attacks and the chaos.

...But as you roll into town just after sundown, smoke rising from several corners of the large, hundred-thousand strong city and all the streets littered with debris, empty of living humans, you begin to realize that things are not exactly as they seem...

And as the moans begin to echo in the alleys all around you, the sight of a body near the corner of the road catches your attention, and you realize truly...

The Nightmare is Just Beginning!

You may begin posting at your Starter Location in the Halloween Event! In each area there are currently no less than 500 zombies in various locations, hidden, trudging through the open, which you may kill...though beware as (controlled) zombies may attack you at any given time! You do not have to wait for others to post to continue posting (unless you are fighting an NPC controlled by me or another mod, clearly labeled NPC). You may follow the rules and kill zombies on your own in each post, moving through locations using keys, plugs, and all the different paths you might come across!

-Take advantage of random encounters or events!
-If you knock down a boss, don't try to kill it! RUN!
-If an enemy is overwhelming you, you might be better suited to run!
-Kill as many zombies as you can! You never know when you might die, so you'll want your count as high as possible.
-You cannot pick up any new weapons. items, or healing unless they are specifically pointed out by an NPC.

...Good luck, and do your best to survive until the very end!
