This forum is used to make Guild-wide announcements and list general Guild rules and policies, and any changes therein. If there is a post made in this forum, it is likely that you will need to know what is in it for future reference in the RP. Please do not ignore the announcements! After all, most of the time it's probably going to be something you want to hear, anyway!

~::Rules and Policies::~ 1. Please, do not power play/God mod. - Battles will be kept as simplistic as possible, and mostly occur on an [Action-Reaction] basis. Please note that your character has limited attributes, and your enemies are formidable. Take damage, give damage, but do not attempt to play as if you are a god. 2. Obey the Gaia ToS. Play is to be kept at a PG-13 level. That means do not attempt cybering, limit gore and unsightly references, and please attempt to limit foul language to what is appropriate for your character (and extremely lewd or offensive references are not appreciated) 3. Be at least somewhat literate. No Chat-speak. No one-liners. Please try to use proper grammar. If at all possible, it would be preferred if all RP posts were at least 5 lines long to provide some depth to the action. Longer is preferable. In some cases, it is understandable if you cannot do this. 4. Persona 4 Characters [Yosuke, Naoto, etc.] can be played, but will only be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. One must demonstrate mastery and knowledge of the character to be allowed to play them. We reserve the right to say 'no' to any requests to do so. I take keeping characters from the series in-character pretty seriously, because it maintains the integrity of the RP. You may, however, take some liberties with them to develop their character (romantic interests, filling in unspecified parts of history and habits, developing through training powers they have not yet achieved). 5. Original characters are welcome, but involvement in the main investigation may not occur immediately. If you wish to create an original character, this is more than acceptable...it is encouraged! You may create minor tie-ins with canon characters as well, referencing their history and yours (if at some point they crossed paths or came to know one another), as long as you do not tinker with what is canon about them. However because of the nature of the story, original characters may only learn about the TV World and Personae on a somewhat random (or situational) basis, and will only be able to join the Investigation Team after surviving an ordeal and the team's defeat of their shadow. For villains, you will need to be a bit more specific about their pasts in your profile. 6. I reserve the right to add rules later, and the staff will have the power to make all major decisions/judgments on pending questions of etiquette, regulations, and conflicts. I ask that you respect the decisions/judgments made and accept them with grace. Most things in this Guild are relative and arbitrary based on your interactions and what you do with regards to your ambitions and style. 7. Do not be unpleasant to other Guild members, personally attack them or berate them, or be a general downer to the Guild. If you need to talk about personal issues or problems that is fine, but if you use your bad day as an excuse to attack other members, it will not be tolerated. 8. Relax and enjoy yourself. This is meant to be fun only. Please keep this in mind as you play, especially if conflicts arise.

'We thought that our search was over.
That after all our struggling against uncertainty and fear, all of our groping in the dark, that we had uncovered the truth behind the shadows.
That we had lifted the fog which clouded our eyes.

We who sought the truth so valiantly never fully understood the origins of the threat to humanity posed by the Goddess Izanami.
She said she was disgusted with humanity..that we deserved to die.
But if that was true, why give us the power to stop her?
What was the reason that Izanami chose Inaba for her sick game to test the strength of human souls? Were we really chosen? Or...
...In the end, did we really just bring this all down upon ourselves?'
Present Day Nearly a month has passed since the Seekers of Truth thwarted the plans of the Goddess Izanami to envelop Inaba in the fog of confusion. The world continues turning as it always has, and the little town of Inaba is as quiet as it has always been. (Opening Now!) In the Beginning... April 11, 2012. It is a sunny Wednesday, a stark contrast to the gloom enveloping the town a year earlier. The last few months have been incredibly peaceful, and the mysterious murders that shocked everyone have begun to fade into distant memory. Today, Yasogami High School begins the new school term, and members of the Investigation Team are all getting used to their new classrooms, thankful for another year together in their rural home.
Today, like any other day since the defeat of Izanami, is peaceful. But for how much longer shall the peace last?

(How time will pass in this RP...)
In order to keep the plot moving forward and to move past any lulls in the action, the days will progress through their many stages at a somewhat random, but fixed manner. What this means is that during the RP, at any time when there is a lull in the action, or the day naturally begins to progress into a later stage [say Early Morning before school into Morning during classes], the day will advance. Sometimes it may even skip a stage or two, depending on the day's plans.
When this happens, please react accordingly, and feel free to fill in the details later as to what you were doing in the minor time-skip. Usually it will be something obvious, of course, like sitting in class or sleeping, but sometimes you may do something else, depending on who and how you are. It's really up to you how you play it, just keep an eye out for the time progression!
When the time is about to progress, I will make a post within a quote box which states that the day has progressed.

Periodically, images will appear on the Midnight Channel at midnight on a foggy night. When Soji witnesses these images, his account will be placed here in the Announcements for everyone to see. These images will be visible at the same level to everyone with a Persona at the time, but will always be clouded and somewhat vague to those without a Persona.
The following recap is written in a first-person, real-time account by Soji Seta [feel free to recount your own experiences in your own posts, at your homes]! [4/12] Midnight Channel [12:00 A.M.] '3...2...1...' he counted down, and when it reached zero the television...turned on!...but the images on the screen didn't reflect the form of a single person. Instead, what he saw was a pair of people. Their bodies distorted by the 'snow' buzzing around the television, Soji felt his clouded eyes widen as he was drawn towards the TV, pausing just in front of it to get the closest view possible. The two people...one seemed to be running, and the other...following behind them. He couldn't tell who they were. He couldn't tell exactly what they were. All of the clarity, the meaning that had been behind the original Midnight Channel broadcasts were gone from this particular picture, and it was such a far cry from what he was used to that he couldn't help but wonder if he was imagining it all. His breath hitching, Soji stepped back away from the television set and blinked, and in the time it took his eyelids to flash open and shut, the image was gone.

(The Midnight Channel has revived...but what does it mean? You are exhausted, and decide to sleep on it. Morning comes, and you feel refreshed...) Thursday Morning... April 12, 2012. It is a foggy Thursday, the thin veil of fog covers most of Inaba, but it is thinner than the fog that covered the town during the incidents a year earlier. There is an ominous air about the town.
Sirens can be heard in the distance, near the Samegawa Flood Plain...
It is once again, Early Morning...

The students of Yasogami High School have all gathered in the gymnasium, waiting impatiently for the Principal to speak to them. Nobody knows for sure what happened, but everybody can sense that the assembly must have something to do with the incident in the Floodplain.
Time marches on...the principal takes the stage as the first bell rings... Yasogami High School Principal "Good morning, students of Yasogami High. It is with a heavy heart that I must call you all here to inform you of yet another tragedy that has befallen our embattled institution. This morning, at 4:47 A.M., Noriko Kashiwagi...an educator at this school...was found dead on the Samegawa Floodplain.Now, I know what you are thinking...but while we know little about the incident, Miss Kashiwagi...was not found in the same state as the tragic victims of last year's incidents. The police have confirmed that this, most likely, was an isolated incident. And it is my own belief that none of you are involved. However, they ask that all students be careful en route to and from school, as the search for the culprit is ongoing. ... And now, with that said...we must raise our heads and move forward, in the face of tragedy. Though it was not easy to find an instructor on such short notice, there was one... ...Please allow me to introduce to you, the new History instructor for class 2-1, Mr. Jin Shirato.

The members of the Investigation Team feared the worst...now their fears are confirmed. Partially. The morning incident was revealed to be the death of their teacher, Noriko Kashiwagi. Now, they begin a new search for the truth. Is this incident related to those caused by Izanami? Or is it just an unfortunate coincidence?
Yasogami mourns a tragedy and welcomes a new member to its family in the new teacher, Jin Shirato.
Time marches on...

The snow was too thick to tell exactly who or what it was, but this time it only seemed as if there was a single image on the screen. It was vaguely human, standing in the middle of a mishmash of haphazard images that were impossible to decipher. Whatever the blurbs were, it looked as if a bomb had hit them! The figure itself seemed to be moving towards the epicenter of the mess, however, almost as if it were running. And then, just as quickly as the screen had clicked on, it shut itself off and the night returned to normal.

You are exhausted, and decide to sleep on it. Morning comes, and you feel tired...) Friday Morning... April 13, 2012. It is a rainy Friday, the streets are soaked and the air is misty, though they are still visible. The town is quiet, reeling from yesterday's tragedy.
Something is amiss, but nobody can place their finger on it...most don't even notice.
It is once again, Early Morning...
