Jade smiled still at the two kitsunes talking, though she was getting a sneaky suspicion that something was up. But she hid this for now.

"Actually Kendo-san, I just got back from one. Had enough time to cool off at least."

She smiled kindly, before her attention was drawn over to Red as the other kitsune spun around in her chair. She was taken aback slightly, but recovered quickly.

"Umm....certainly. I'll try to as best I can."

Her tail flicked back and forth behind her slightly.

Jade remained silent for a moment, letting the other woman's questions sink in a bit and raising her right hand to her chin in a thoughtful way. After about a minute or two, she lifted her head fully again and smiled at Red.

"Type of fight? He's a good one.
Extent of his powers? Even I don't know fully.
Best way to approach him? He usually knows you're there anyways, but it's most polite to come from the front."

Jade smirked slightly. Yes, she was giving her answers in full honesty.

"And as for the Black Tiger. Yes, such a thing does exist, but I know little more on it than anyone else."

Just because she called Keno her brother didn't mean that she knew every detail about him. In fact, looking back on it, Jade knew little about him really, but he was kind to her and protective, willing to teach her. To her, that was what made him her brother, and she wasn't about to betray him to Red, who was out to kill him.

Yes, Jade was confident in Keno's abilities, but she wasn't about to give the enemy an upper hand on him.

Red attempted to retort, but found herself at a loss for words at Jade's responses. She wasn't avoiding the question, but she wasn't being very helpful either. There was no way she could accuse her dodging the queries. However, she realized that Keno was a very mysterious person. Even someone as close to him as Jade was supposed to be didn't seem to be able to say much.

"Well then," she hadn't really planned on the topic to die down so quickly. Actually, it felt to her like it went up in flames. Maybe she was better off just biding her time. He would have to fight sometime. Afterall there was a tournament and he was entered.

"Well then," she said carefully, moving on to other matters. "Could I interest you in a spar? I've yet to get acquainted with your ring, and to be honest, training solo gets a little dull." It would also help to get a feel for at least one person within Orion. She could adopt battle tactics, etc. There were a lot of reasons she wanted this fight. Most importantly, she wanted to know just where she stood in this place.

Setting down his carving as they prepared for their spar he smirked rising from his seat. Turning to gaze upon his carving he lifted into to his face and blew on it, it becoming a vibrant red hue. At first glance one would think it was the carving of a flower, but at further examination the placement of the petals belied a roaring flame. Smirking at it, he set it back down and fell back into his own shadow.

Perched atop a rafter the snow fox yawned awaiting the match. Tucking his long ponytail in the cowl of his cloak he rearranged his position as to get a better vantage point of the match that was to take place below. Stroking the stubble like growth on his chin he awaited the first exchange of blows.

"Okay then," she said, measuring the distance Jade was away from her, backing up from the center, estimating very closely how far she should be. Once there she took a deep breath, her last prep step from the anxiety.

It appeared Jade was dominantly left handed, or so her stance seemed to say. What a coincidence that was. Red shifted her left leg in front of her, her right behind her. Her knee were bent, but a special note was that she was resting on the balls of her feet instead of being completely planted. Her left arm was up, guarding her foreside, as was her right guarding her chest. It looked as though she might be in some sort of boxing stance, but her knees were bent too much.

She sprinted for Jade with precision. Her feet moved swiftly for Jade, carrying the woman smootly to her opponent as her upper body refused to budge or show any indication of what she might do next. Within seven feet, the young lady launched herself into the air, with both knees aimed at Jade's upper chest. She was expecting the attack to strike more than push, but that would depend on how Jade took the hit, assuming it even connected.

Red watched carefully. Jade either had really good reflexes or was just naturally very fast. To either end it made Red miss her mark. She was glad she went for a knee instead of a kick. She flipped her body forward a bit and let Jade's palm strike her feet, launching off of them as well to dampen the impact in her legs. She went rolling forward, planting herself on her feet, but still skidding as she crouched and twisted her body to face her opponent.

Wow. I wasn't expecting such force. Her look of awe probably wasn't hidden very well, but she flowed with it anyway. Now she had to close the gap yet again. She came sprinting forward again, this time a bit faster, or so she thought, going at about 100 miles an hour. She executed a left punch this time, her knucles extended, hoping Jade would believe she was aiming a quick strike for the throat. Still coming forward, however, she retreated the attack last moment as instead went for a left hook to the face. Being a bit too close at this point, it was obviously not supposed to be a hook. Instead Red folded her arm inward completely, having her elbow come in for the striking blow to the right side of Jade's face.
