Hyuuga TairuHp: 60/60 l Cp: 45/45 l MHp: 55/55 l DB: 16 I see, he doesn't like the Senju very much now, but starting out we came from the same cloth. Hopefully we were cut differently though. Tairu sat and listened to Taiju but he rejected most of his ideas. Perhaps the reason was that Tairu came from a family whose strength was revered. Due to their status as premier shinobi Tairu's family was situated only just below those of royal blood. Even if light casts shadows, enough of it will illuminate them as well. Tairu thought to him self as he watched Taiju. "I see you like the clouds, I like them too, but probably for a different reason." Tairu said. They can become anything they desire.As Tairu let himself relax a little bit he realized that he was quite hungry. His stomach let out a low decibel grumble as signaled that it was time for food. I hope we're done here soon. Tairu thought in response to his stomach. Mom does always make the best food.

And yes, most likely we have different reasons for why we do what we do. I don't want you to be like me. Being on the street and fighting in back alleys wouldn't suit a noble kid like yourself. Although they were good learning experiences the first few times I went out there. Seeing things how they really are teaches you a few things about where the clans like the Senju and Hyuuga went awry."Taiju looked back at Tairu, his cold orbs bearing into the kid's very soul. "Don't be me. I screwed up a lot, and being me would be akin to suicide for someone like you."For a second in Taiju's eyes, concern may have been seen. But it vanished before anyone else could see it. He did have a reputation to keep up. It was all because of that damm woman. If she had her way Tairu would end up another chewed up and spit out cookie-cutter Hyuuga. And that just wasn't acceptable. "You hungry? Don't tell me the Hyuuga's starve you too."

His adivise was understandable though, and it made a lot of sense. "No, no it's not like that, in fact my mom makes wonderful food.. You know she's probably worried about where I am right now. Nobody does since when ever I try to impress some one I always screw up somehow and further demonstrate that I'm failure so I figured if I didn't tell anyone it wouldn't matter whether or not I screwed up." "Though my mom's not like the rest of them, she really does love me, though she is sorta different too." It was quite true that his mother was different from the rest of the Hyuuga. In fact she had very distinctive characteristic, she had blond hair. It seemed that it was an extremely rare recessive trait among the Hyuuga but it had emerged in her and that trait had distinguished her as different. Just like the scar above Tairu's eye.

I'm always been viewed as a failure, so I stopped caring about them. In the end, it's your own expectations that matter. Don't let other people tell you how to live your life."Taiju hated his family. In fact having to proctor these exams was probably because of them. If they hadn't been spreading their dirty money around he probably would still be doing the job he loved. The job that kept the village safe from all the scum who preyed upon it. Not that he was self righteous about it. Any thug could win a fist fight with one good punch. But now he really wanted to fight someone. Taiju missed the adrenaline that pumped through his veins, the roar of the spectators, the feeling of another man's face caving in... That was like being alive. Until your life was on the line, until you found you had the power to choose another man’s fate, you didn't know what it was like to be alive. But those would be messages for other days. No need to drag the young Hyuuga into Taiju's world.

The young girl had to keep herself from smacking her face. Stupid! You got distracted again. Focus you need to focus. Ignore everything else. Its just you. You here alone..
Closing her eyes she tried it again. This time to had to force herself not to hear what they were saying. She wasn't able to complete block out the sound. She could still haer them but what they were saying she couldn't tell. To her the noise came like a soft mumble. The kind you hear but don't pay much attention to. Slowly her chakra began to build up. After awhile of focusing her chakra she stopped. Opening her eyes she smiled. Finally a success. That meant only two were left.
Getting up from her sitting position she glanced over in Taiju's direction. He seemed distracted and he wasn't facing her. Slowly and as quietly as possible she began to sneak away. Aryza was planning on going back to the academy for a bit. She'd have to watch out for Yarotai though.
Step by step she went. Once she was out of Taiju's sight she bolted for the Academy.

Kuroi finished trying to find Yun for now. While heading back towards the clearing where he had left Aryza he ran into her on the way. Stopping to great his owner he was told by her to stay where he was. From what he understood she was going somewhere and would be back. After watching her leave he decided to go see if Taiju would give him a treat now. Exiting the trees he came upon the clearing. Cheerfully he made his way towards Taiju but he wasn't alone. There was more people there. He began to get excited more people to play with!
As he got closer to Taiju he saw something shiny reflect in the sunlight. curious he walked over to it. It was a strange object. Sniffing at it he then stared at if for a while. Then suddenly a sensation came over his body. Lifting up one of his hind legs he peed on the statue. He did this with out getting any on Taiju. Once he had relieved himself he walked infront of the chuunin and sat down. Wagging his tail he barked. He wanted that treat and badly.

(The following takes place in an alternate time frame)
"Good Takeshi-kun.", the Uchiha nodded in his usual gentle, composed manner. He was now sitting on the ground, his knees to his chest and his feet crossed. The relaxed Jounin slowly sighed, looking down. Ahh combustion~ This was /supposed/ to be the hardest part. As a child, Kiyo's family rubbed a gel on his cheeks, to help with the burning. However it was just a luxary because Suzume learned combustion with ease and managed very little singes around her lips. Ah~ Such pretty lips. But then.. Suzume was a prodigy, Takeshi wasn't.
He pushed one palm against the ground, slowly standing up. with a sigh, he moved his palm over his face, hoping the bangs would stay out of his eyes. As his palm lowered, his Sharingan were fixed upon the boy. Such fierce power, such prowess. His tomo slowly spun as he examined Takeshi.
"Now, the final part. Combustion.", he started in his calming and soft voice, raising his hand naturally and motioning. "Once you introduce a spark from your affinity, the chakra you produce will ignite, thus making the fireball. The most crucial part is to keep the pressure from earlier. If the fire travels backwards onto your cheeks or into your mouth, that means you were being careless. You will need to monitor your pressure, if you cannot sustain the pressure, do not hesitate to stop chakra expulsion in general.", his voice stopped as his eyes narrowed, letting the boy take in the information.
"Speaking in the opposite sense, do not pressurize your chakra too much. You will need to find your balance. The size all depends on your chakra pool, control and skill. So don't be discouraged because your fireball will not nearly be the size of mine...", finally finished the man, putting his hands on his hips. He looked down, waiting for Takeshi to process the information and try it.
Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu: Part III
(Combustion)
The chakra the user blows will now be combusted. When combusted, the chakra must be kept under high pressure. The user must stop the blowing the chakra if the fire is traveling backwards towards the users mouth/cheeks.

Special: Rolling a one means the user refused to stop blowing and the fire enters the mouth, burning it slightly. In this case, take 5 hp. Rolling a 2-14 WITH Chk. Mod. means that the user is burning their cheeks slightly. In this case. Take -2 hp.

Tairu said as he skipped over the the subject matter of the scientists. Tairu really had nothing that he could say to it. It was at this time that Tairu saw a strange dog come and look at the golden statuette with hungry eyes. The dog then proceeded to lift up his leg and urinate on it. Tairu tried to suppress a smile but he ended up bursting out into laughter. Ther sheer thought a mere dog urinating on a golden statue of a high ranking Senju. Tairu knew that Taiju would get a kick out of the statue. "Hey.... Taiju.. check it out!" Tairu managed to say in between his fits of laughter. Genin Exams

Here's that treat I promised you." He pulled out the other piece of jerky that he had split earlier and threw it to Kuroi. Then he turned to Tairu and cracked his neck before laughing. "So, did you determine which one of you is going to take credit for the statue? Shall I give it to you since you brought it to me? Or would you rather it go to the girl? Perhaps you covet her more than your own success? Or perhaps the Nara? He certainly deserves something to go right for him. But I did say that only one of you would be considered the winner of this contest."Taiju laughed harder. This was too funny. They had done exactly what he wanted them to do, and he knew that he would most likely pass all of them... But he was far too amused by playing his little game with them. It was too good to pass up now.

Kuroi smelled the jerky before he even pulled it out. He run around in a cirlce happily. Finally he had done something right to get the treat! Wait a minute. All he had done was relieve himself. He blinked trying to understand it. Aryza was always trying to tell him to not mark his territory every where. But here he was being awarded for it. Apparently the shiny stone looking thingy was an exception.
The wolf cub didnt give it much more thought. In a way he didn't care. Opening his mouth he attacked and devoured what once was a piece of jerky. Wagging his tail he licked his mouth to get the last of the taste. Tilting his head to the side he scratch behind his ear briefly. Once that was done he sat there staring at the Taiju and Tairu. Not having seen Tairu any where before he walked over to him and sat down right in front of him. Tilting his head up wards he glanced at the Hyuuga child with his big green eyes. His tongue sticking out slightly. it was as if the wolf was asking to be pet. As a matter of fact he was. No actually to be more precise he was trying to see if he had any food on him.

It was indeed a gamble for the young academy student. His words could pass one, all, or none. "A... l.. lea..der must take cre... responsibility for all that he does or fails to do." Tairu started out weak but became more assured as he spoke on. "I may have done a lot but I could not have possibly accomplished this miss... test without the aid of my... team." Tairu said, "Being a genin also wouldn't be much fun if I was by my self Taiju." Your doing good Tairu he told himself. "You could call me a winner or a looser but as you said, I shouldn't care what others think, all I care about is that everyone worked hard as a team, pulled of an amazing feat, and came back okay." This was it, could he truly only pass one to genin, could he? Here it comes. Tairu thought as he nervously petted the wolf cub that was standing in front of him.

They were that ONE of you would bring me back this statue, and the other two would be sent back to the academy. What you've told me is that you don't want to claim responsibility for the success of the mission. In which case if one of your partners claim it you automatically fail."Taiju smirked, enjoying every second of his time. Watching Tairu squirm was just too much fun. "If you were a member of a squad, teamwork would have been important. But this is to show how you've developed as an individual. A shinobi's individual skills make or break a team, and you've shown me nothing of what you are capable of. So I guess what this means is that now you have to make a choice."Maybe he was being a bit mean, even cruel by most people's standards. But rules were rules and he had given the students specific instructions. Tairu would have to make a choice on his own.

Tairu was nervous but he was also quite skeptical of Taiju, especially because of the look that Tairu got into Taiju's personality earlier. "I never said i wasn't taking credit, If you want to know about my individual skill, I saw through your intimidation techniques at the start of the start the of exam, united the team after I found the statue you were looking for, convinced the Hokage to help us, snuk into a hostile estate, diffused a volatile situation with a chuunin level genin, and even managed to carry that statue with my own strength." Tairu said with a hint of anger but became more confident and light hearted as he went. This is just Taiju trying to get his kicks isn't it?In an attempt to throw a curve ball a Taiju, Tairu said, "Would you look at that, now the cub wants a treat from me Taiju, you spoil him." he said jokingly.

You on the other hand are trying to tell me that you're not NOT taking credit, but you also won't just say that you are." Taiju sighed. The kid thought all of that made him tough? He had a lot to learn about what it meant to call yourself tough. "You 'saw through' my intimidation tactics? Odd. Because I was just being an a**. I was pretty pissed off at the time. Also, the statue I was looking for wasn't in the main hall. No doubt the Hokage knew that, and that's why he isn't here right now. Also, the estate wasn't hostile starting out. As for a chuunin level Genin, Haru always thinks himself stronger than he actually is. But you did carry that statue here, and that is impressive."Taiju took a look at the statue again before looking back at Tairu with his almost trademark smirk back on his face. "The problem is Tairu, that you don't use your head. Only the girl came to me to ask for information. If you say that you saw through my tactics, then why did you never ask me to get you into the compound? And yet you claim these victories as if they were you own. Haru should have beaten your a** if he had been doing his job right. Are you that confident with your strength still?"

"So you want me to claim victory and crush those who helped me achieve it, turn my back on those could potentially be my comrades, well like you said, "To hell with what you think, you can give the victory to the Nar.. Rhaim." Tairu said. Although in his anger he failed to remember that Taiju had promised to fail anyone who had brought him the wrong statue. So in essence he was ruining Rhaim's chance if Taiju was serious but the mind of a 10 year old does not reach that far. "What I am confident in is that no matter how many times i fail, I'm going to keep trying and never let anyone keep me down." This was true and even if it led him down the path that Taiju had taken he would not walk it the same way. He would not give up and give in to something as ridiculous as an absolute truth.
