Ruscar hovered in front of the squire pair. His gaze turned nervous and not for of discovery of his allegiances. The prospect of being persecuted due to his species was a far more nerve-wracking issue. At a decent distance he could feign a calm exterior, but this was far too close for comfort. He knew he had been lucky so far, encountering only those who would not hurt him for his species. On top of everything, he could not shake the feeling of being watched.

“I got uprooted from my home,” Rus' replied, not quite lying. “I could move more out of sight, fly closer to the trees if you would prefer.”

Warden noticed that the Reborn seemed to becoming somewhat nervous, but he supposed that was to be expected. He was a little tense himself, though he wasn't sure if the other would really try to attack. There was so little known of the Reborn but he supposed the fact that it wasn't of Fallen lineage being a good sign. Though... it was still part Fae.

"That may be better for your own good," he started, "Though I must ask you some questions first. What do you know of the conflict between the Fae that has stirred lately?"

The squire was very aware that the Reborn could lie with its answer, but he and Jace were watching for signs.

Romans lips curled as a low inhumane growl was expressed for his growing frustration as the Fallen jerked his head away causing the vampire's blade to be fully removed with scarlet drops that follow with each moment of his hands were just a blur to mortal eyes. With in the time the Fallen turn his head to bowl the Vampire. The blade switched to where it was laying flat against his fore arm and bent down as the young vampire's scarlet red tail of hair rising like a a whip, And threw with enough force for a counter punch at where the back corner of the dragon's eye. Roman then grabbed the Fallen's mane with his free hand making sure he hand a good grip lifting his feet laughing like a crazed child on some thrilled high, Waiting for the Dragon to tire out not too worried about being crushed or whipped by the barbed tail.
"Fallen, that's what you are..."
"I would have to say your about to Fall down and kick the bucket soon, big guy." Roman Taunted as his eyes were fixed on the open wound upon the dragon's neck he could sense his beating heart, the scent of fresh blood. Yes Roman indeed likes to play with his food.

Dark seeing the crackling pale blue lighting orb charging, the tainted rolled in the air to where he would now pass right in front the other dragon and only lightly brushed past the following dragon and slowly open his wings and glided at a slower rate as he then adjusted flying higher towards the moon.
'Traitor? Didn't know there were sides now.'
'back off now, I may not kill you.'
Dark threatens as he pry's into their minds as much as he could using Micheal's abilities in a half idol flight.

"Dark..." Micheal said as he tried to think what the hell was his problem now, barely seeing them in the night sky with his own eyes, he kept an eye out still for others.

The dragon bucked like a wild charger, shaking his head in attempts to toss off the red prickleburr that now clung to his hair.

"Maybe you'll join me, little one," the raspy dragon's voice rumbled as the tossling head stopped in place. A yellow and brown eye looked backward at the vampire.

Something ripped through Roman's back and protruded through the side of his chest. The grey headed bolt nestled itself just above the heart as a new decorative piercing on his body to join the other trinkets he wore.

The dragon shook his head once again and limply the red weed slipped from his mane and was tossed a few feet away into the wildgrass. Farther back an armored rider stepped out of the trees pressing a hand to one side of his face, an emptied crossbow hanging down from the other. Seeing the boy roll to a stop, he began to hurry toward his dragon.

----------------

'You attacked us! Be gone!' the normal dragon screamed in Dark's head, snapping at the pale dragon's wings as it past by infront of him. As Dark flew higher, the pair drew closer to the treetops again, gradually taking the fight farther and farther away from where Micheal had been left behind.

The snippets stolen from the dragon's mind reflected only as such between their thoughts about Dark and the disorienting conversation that continued between dragon and rider.

Kill or flee. Escape? Magic? How much? Enough bounds? Battle. Need more wings. Buy time? Protect. Need to fly. Fail? What would happen?

Already another ball of light the size of a hand lantern could be seen glowing behind the dragons neck as the pair watched the shadow of a dragon above them.

-------------

'Sharding black void...'

There was the dragon. And the rider running. And no Roman.

A few more strides and she tossed herself from the saddle, a sharp tingle running up the bones of her legs as she hit the ground running, trying not to fall from the momentum. Taking her bow, she shot toward the Bound but it flew wide.

Catching the bleeding dragon's attention, the large tail sliced down and bit into the dirt, kicking up a spray into her eyes and face she could not see through.

At first he didn't feel it till, his body started rejecting the healing process, it was a burn from the inside, his vision blurred as he stared back at the dragon only briefly mouthing "well played" as he couldn't even pretend to breathe at the moment to hide his discomfort of the hit. He felt the grass not remembering hitting the ground but and lightly brushed his finger tips. Jay was near he could smell her. His eyes sparked a wild fire glow as the fire bow appeared in his hands laying the way he was upon the ground and he pulled back with a release with a flash of a fire bolt that went right at the Fallen's Bound chest burning the cloth and his fingers played around as the flames grew.-
"Look a Flaming c**k.." the Vampire yelled to hide the pain that was causing him to convulse in spasms as he tried to laid still pacing himself, his breathing, trying to blank out his mind but couldn't help but laugh at his carelessness and then clenched his teeth together.

Ruscar nodded his head in response to the suggestion of flying lower. That was not too bad of a start. They did not seem overly hostile. As the squires continued to speak, Ruscar raised a scaly brow to feign casual surprise.

“Is something going on?” Ruscar queried as smoothly as possible, with a hint of surprise. He had been practicing his story as he flew, just in case he ran into someone. None of his words were lies, instead mere carefully phrased retellings. “I did notice a large amount of Fae. They are the reason I had to leave my home. Quite a nuisance really.”

As the two flew about, Astalder soon noticed something in the distance somewhat above them. He couldn't see the exact form of the thing but it seemed that it may be either dragon or fae. The latter seemed a little more likely at this point, but in any case they should take caution. Even if the stranger ahead had nothing to do with this brewing conflict, there was the chance they weren't all that friendly.

The longer they waited, it became more obvious that the glow was nothing magical at all but a reflection of light off metal. This stuff did not look cheap either. Armor covered the overhead winged dragon from head to tail as it flew through the sky, seeming to be disturbed some with the clouds of the day as it looked like it would try to weave around the edges when encountering them.

As the treat was tossed up, Ares quickly snatched it and gobbled it down. He was listening to the story too of course, but the foodbit had a little more of his attention.

"Rotting bodies smell funny," he commented with his mouth still partially full, "Do you think something big will happen? These sorts of things usually do don't they? Maybe there will be explosions like any good action story! I always love a good plot twist too."

"I'm sure there will be magic at least," the mage chuckled. "Maybe that will create some explosions. There would not be the fairies without magic after all." He got up and walked over by Ares to pat the dragon's neck. The little one was getting bigger as time passed. "We could always go watch one of these days. What do you think of that?"

He held up what looked to be a squirming green mouse with antlers by the tail as a munchie little morsel.

'Really, help me understand what's going on or I will drain you, and I don't plan on keeping you either.' The Tainted flew closer to the dragon and his bound, now interested on what they have missed.

Micheal hopped off the horse and then took off full speed towards where Dark was going sticking to the shadow of the trees.

As she tried to run in a direction that would lead her behind the Fallen and into a blindspot, a flash of fire lit the dark as it streaked toward the bound. There was a shout from the man and a roar from the dragon as the bound stumbled and clutched his chest where the arrow disappeared, melting into simple flames that lapped at his back.

The dragon's head snapped in the direction of the fallen weed as it began to open its mouth wide - just in time for an arrow to ricochet just below the yellow-brown scaled eye.

The ranger dropped just in time to feel the heat sear the air behind her head and the blade tips of the tall grass.

By the time she was able to stand again, the Fallen dragon had risen back into the skies where another loosed arrow did not reach it, the Fallen's bound lying oddly motionless on the ground even as the flame magic grew.

With one look at the burning circle of ash behind her, she hurried in the direction she saw the arrow come from.

"Roman!" she called out, wading through the weeds and brush.

------

They seemed to think nothing of his threat to 'drain' them. 'We need the humans to fly, fool. There are fae about! What cave have you burried yourself under?' The dragon hissed as Dark drew closer and attempted to turn and put more distance between them. 'Leave us be, traitor!'

The red head was staring straight in the jaws of the Fallen, and the only thing he thought of was 'hell didn't think, it would end where I feel so helpless.' he closed his eyes hearing a bow string vibrate again. Then he open his eyes seeing the dragon was gone. Roman just laid still his eyes were enough to be notice by the ranger. He tried to move again it seemed it was only small retarded movements he could do. He closed his eyes for a second to shake the blurriness and finally cried a moan that is normally heard from the Ranger herself.

'Take em out.' Micheal told Dark once again through their connection.

Dark picked up speed and then attacked the dragon, his wings spread to a glide as the dragon, started to quickly feel strained and tired, which then grew body aches where the dragons body felt like he was aging in seconds, or more so he just came down with an illness.

The sound she heard was disorienting. Though certain it had not come from behind her, Jay looked back at the body of the armored man, still not having gotten back up.

The light from the dragon fire still going hid the glow of the vampire's eyes from her but the sound led her to where she saw his body lying awkwardly on the ground, a bolt run through him like a lace through a shirt.

"Roman?" she said as she took his face in her hands. "Roman? You'd better tell me you were just going to slack off here." Her hands slid lower to where the metal point was, sitting low on his left breast. The bolt did not look as if it had broken. She could pull it free just by pulling it straight forward. The last time she had to remove an arrow from him though they were next to a stream which helped keep him from setting himself on fire. There was no such stream here now and plenty of little fires still around.

That was aside from any blood he might need. Immediately the bound came to mind.

"Roman, do I need to wait for Micheal on this one?" she asked, patiently waiting for a responce knowing he was having difficulty moving.

Scrap it all. She was going to try catch Micheal's attention anyways. 'Micheal, Roman's been hurt. I'm going to need your help. Hurry please.'

Hopefully the other vampire was not too wrapped up in his own dragon business to not hear her.

------------

Another dazzling shot went of from the mage at Dark just before the dragon began to slow. With wings beginning to feel heavy, eventually the dragon gave into decent, picking a location in the midst of forest, ignoring the trees that banged against his wings and scratched at his face. Upon landing, it seemed that a light glow of the same earlier blue began to encircle the entire dragon, both dragon and bound chanting something.

A strange-looking creature watched from afar, even stranger eyes, one the color of a rare blue gem, the other rather cat-like and of golden amber. A frown decorated her face, scarred and stitched but with a still marble-like beauty upon it. Wings as tattered as spider silk adorned her back, and long, strangely grey-white hair whispered about her, faint snatches of it's previous color still peeking through.

This was Ysera, a Reborn with no story to tell, no memories from before whoever her Bonded had been and herself had joined as one. She was a damaged soul, no hope of becoming completely whole.

And yet, she watched.

She was curious, yet no emotion dawned on her face, a neutral expression at the events before her. She held no allegiances to either side of this bloody feud, rather she was an onlooker, only a part of it if she so chose to be.

A fallen pair caught her eye, and she swept across the ground, her feet barely brushing the dirt as she made her way toward them.

"Is there some way I can be of assistance..?" The voice was ashen, a strange double-whisper echoing through the ears of the listener. "Though... I lack much skill, for I remember little." The whisper of the nearby water and the flames around made her voice sound rather hiss-like.

Roman's eyes just looked straight passed her as his lips smirked to a strained looking smile. Thinking to himself in his mind, 'Crap don't look at me like that, stop talking to me, yes get him.' Roman's body temp rose more as he thought more about his situation then he close his eyes and took slow barely noticeable breaths to calm himself.
"shush..."
He just shushed the Ranger.
