Lucian looked to his sister. "Ummm...help?" He said, glancing around.
Alyssa nodded. "Miss Neko, what can I do to help you?"

"Help nya." Neko said with a nod, "Hiro is going to look at evidence to find out what has happened tonight nya." Neko pondered for a moment. "You can help Neko with Kaori. We need to get her sitting up so we can give her this." Neko held up a sloshing bottle of purple liquid.

Hiro moved back to the scene of the crime and found the body. His stomach sunk a little seeing it. The blood would have to be cleaned up by time the festival moved into full swing.
"The attack on both of them was a small piercing device. Lets see here." Hiro said as he looked at the artifacts in the temple. As he feared someone had pilfered two of the ceremonial daggers. "Wait...two of them? Why did they need two unless there was 2 criminals."
Hiro bit his thumb in quiet contemplation. Things just didn't seem right. The message on her back was like that left years ago by the spirits before. His family having strong spiritual presences have stayed in this community to placate the spirits but either they are starting to go on a rampage sooner then they should or someone is trying to recreate the old stories.

Alyssa nodded. She walked over to Kaori and gently moved her to a sitting position. "You know a lot about medicine huh?" She asked Neko with a smile.

Ayaka noticed someone go into the temple, she sighed. She didn't want to go back, but she felt she must. She approached the temple. "The temple is closed for the night, return to your home, you can come back in the morning." She said with a heavy sigh. She was so not in the mood tonight.
Neko nodded, "Neko has been studying all of her life. Neko has found many medicines most medics don't know about. They all work too nya!" She said sitting before her. "Ready nya?" She asked.

Kaori remained asleep, even though she had been moved. She seemed to be truly without energy. Her blade that is used for purification purposes seemed to be glowing still. Her eyes eventually would open as she saw Neko before her and felt someone holding her up. She did not fight whomever was holding her, but she knew it was someone not from the town.

"Ayaka is that you?" Hiro called out from inside the temple. He walked out to meet his sister. He could tell the responsibility was beginning to seriously affect her. He hugged her as he got closer to her.
"Sorry sis. Sometimes I forget how tough your job can be with it being your first time and everything." Hiro said holding the hug.

Neko nodded, "Kaori, Neko is going to give you something to drink, it will be very easy nya." She said in a serious tone. "Just allow it to slide down your throat, it will help nya."
Ayaka jumped when she heard her brother's voice. She watched him emerge from the temple. "Hiro." She said softly, "What are you doing here?" she soon found his arms round her. She bowed her head, and felt tears burning her eyes. "Why did this have to happen?" She asked, her voice high, almost to high to be heard. She shook her head and hugged Hiro back tightly. She was scared, what had happened tonight? The whole night was a blur to her.

Kaori only nodded as she looked at Neko. Her eyes were tired as she wanted to just rest. She would drink whatever Neko gave her though it looked like something that Neko just threw together once again. She trusted Neko not to poison her.

Neko offered her the drink, and carefully watching her she waited for signs not to pour anymore down her throat. "Just a little at a time nya." She said. "It will help in no time nya." Neko said with a slight purr on her voice.

"I wonder where sister went." Luna said. "Well i have to go close the ceremony." she said. "Make sure she gets better Neko." Luna said as she walked outside. she went back to the festival and began the closing dance. "Thank you everyone for joing the festival. have a nice drive back home." she smilied as she made sure everyone left.

Kaori only drank the liquid slowly so as not to choke on it. She knew she would feel better in no time as the drink was helping with the lost energy. She’d give the sign that she was feeling better to Neko as she then would close her eyes. She needed to rest more so that she could let the drink do its job.

"What is the ceremony about?" Alyssa asked Neko curiously. "I am very fascinated. What is it you folks celebrate?"
Lucian had fallen asleep. He hadn't even realized it! He snored slightly and shifted a little.
