I wouldn't wish 17 pages of Leavy-Kun drama on anyone...although, I've heard that my "Locker Room Discrepancies" were interesting....

Hehehe.... Guys, you have got (yeah, I'm using bad grammar for this! So pay attention!) to check this out:

It's better than sex.... No...not really, but it may be better than poor-marginal sex.... It's hilarious, violent, Portals-based...so, so weird.... So, so good....

Not too funny...but I'm a little off today, anyways.

I've been thinking about getting Portal, but don't you have to get a bunch of other games along with it? It sounds pretty neat, though...

Yeah, but the beauty of the orange box is the fact that you get like, three or four games for the price of one.

O.o we're talking about video games eh?
Here's some good ones:
PC: Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas
Xbox 360: Rockband; Assassins Creed; guitar hero
PS2: guitar hero; Kingdom hearts 1&2

i'm thinking of going out and buying Half life 1&2(the orange box) after christmas...

My favorite games from when I was younger were (and I'm going to sound like the uber-dork I truly am) Smart Games Challenge 3, Mortimer and the Riddles of the Medallion, and Zoombinis Logical Journey.

Yeah.
PostPosted: Sat Dec 22, 2007 12:11 pm

I haven't heard of any of those games. Also, doesn't the new guitar hero supposedly have a bad sound track. Which I'm sad about because it's the only one that will work with the consuls I have.

I've been playing GH3 for a week now and I got all the songs the first night I bought it. I'm happy with about 70% of all the songs. My biggest gripe is that the career songs, when you begin aren't the greatest, a lot of 80's rock, clearly I'm not a fan of that kind of music but the songs grow on you a bit. The more you play, the more modern the songs become, something I don't like. I would rather have seen more popular tracks from the beginning and have more of the golden oldies as unlock-able purchase songs.

I love Assassin's Creed, beat it in a few days, but boy were those few days fun! My problem with AC, the re-playability is zero and the ending leaves a lot to be desired. If anyone is still playing the game, skip to the next paragraph as there will probably be spoilers. The end, I thought was crap, not only was I not surprised that the master assassin would betray you, but fighting him took only a few minutes as his sequence of manoeuvres is lame and utterly predictable at best. As well, when your friends from your secret death club show up, die, then after you're left to walk around and find strange, indecipherable markings all over the floors, walls and everything. I thought there was more to the game but nope, after the credits you go right back to the lab, walk around and I expect, play the missions you've already played, I guess until AC2 comes out.

I prefer Rainbow 6 Vegas for 360, I find computer shooters are unreliable because you need a good computer to begin with but the 360 is a great computer period so problem solved. Now granted, online I'm a terrible shot but even so, great game, huge re-playability factor, just an awesome over all game.

Now, I just bought Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare for the 360, I hate Sony by the way. The game mechanics are good, its a fun game I love the sprint ability, I love having semi-modular terrain, by that I mean being able to shoot through walls. However, it is a Play Station game through and through. Any connoisseur of videos will know that the majority of PS shooters have lubricated controls, which means that turning is very quick and when you aim you often have to compensate for aiming drift. And 360 or less gamer will have been playing games with slower turning and stiffer controls. I'm not hashing the PS developers in how they create games and their mechanics, but I will say that for every innovation they create they implement one or two draw drawbacks.

My biggest gripe about COD4 is that the game is a bullet spray game. I'm more of an accuracy kind of guy, but that doesn't stop my from snagging a dragonov whenever I'm not equipped with the standard marine issue sniper rifle. Sound quality is decent, though weapon accuracy leaves, of course, a lot to be desired. For being the first CoD I've ever played, World War games just aren't my thing, I take history I'd rather not butcher history more than it already has been, it was a good play, story line was weak, Russian nukes? Come on, we're in the 21st century, not 1950. What I did like about the game is being able to pick up enemy weapons, the one shot weapons mix the game up slightly but not enough to make a difference. I also love the unending hordes of enemy fighters, too often will I play a shooter where 6 guys come out of a hole, die to a single volley of my assault rifle and then I move on. Favourite weapon has to be the RPG, even if explosions do next to nothing in this game, I remember throwing handfuls of grenades to almost no effect, about one grenade killed one guy in a handful, so not impressed there but at the very least you can pick up more grenades.

In more recent news, powering away at my book, life is at a stand still as I take care of my friends dogs while him and his family are off to the British Virgin Islands. Luckily he's bringing me back enough cigars to make up for all the house work they bloody well left me with. Such is life, I'll try and get some pics up of the dogs, Lola is too cute, haha.

(Drew, your avi is lovely--very Christmas-y. Won't you have to change it after Tuesday, though?)
PostPosted: Sun Dec 23, 2007 12:13 pm

Nope, I'm leaving it till New Year's, (I have an outfit specially designed for that), and then I'll be changing again in quick succession with my January avi (which is my pride and joy--so frickin' cute!)

Seriously, though. I want a musical note emoticon.
