Every window in the room shattered, but the glass never hit the floor. It hung there, as though dropped into some thick, viscous liquid. Next came the timbers, each and every one that shaped the room split with a deafening crack, yet the room did not fall apart. Thick, ethereal lines of an ill-defined black matter flickered around the room as the amount of visible light died down.

He began to twitch. First only slightly, and then large portions of his body. He was breathing heavier and heavier with each moment, as though trying to quell back the rage that was attempting to flow from within. His head began to warp, almost stretch, backwards, his upper lip stretching to reveal the vicious gnashing teeth of a predator. The jaw descended, allowing the canines to grow upwards and outwards, disturbingly similar to the fangs of a baboon. His eyes were but black pockets, falling away into some other realm of hate and hell. Spears of black began to burst through the skin on his back, towers of obsidian piercing to the sky as his back began to arch. Was he growing taller? No, the room seemed to be getting smaller as his pressure went unchecked. His fingers were elongating, the nails stretching to horrid foot long sickles. From deep within him, a growl came that shook the very foundations of the school. And then....all was still.

By the time the rest of the room became aware of his movement, he had lunged forward and crushed the head of the golem that had thrown Danni from the window. Screaming, if not roaring, the beast slashed and stomped and mutilated the remainder of the body in a fit of rage.

"HOW DARE HE INTERFERE WITH THAT BOY, HOW DARE HE INTERFERE WITH THIS SCHOOL, AND WORST OF ALL, OF ******** DARE HE INTERFERE WITH MEEEEEE!"

The entire world seemed to shake.

Though Danni got some personal satisfaction out of seeing the chair sail through the window, her eyes flashed when Silas remained in the room. God damned magic didn't recognize that the slimy b*****d had no right to his new title, it seemed.

She merely flipped Silas off, shaking her head.

((By order of Elyios, this post officially goes before Riser's post just above. Mistuki, you're gonna have to edit your post unfortunately. Sorry, but there's not much there anyway so it shouldn't be a huge deal.))

Luckily for Silas one of the office's protective spells was still in effect. And since Silas still had the documents an the magic seal denoting him as the school's Headmaster, the office's Window Guard spell came into effect. It was an old and essentially useless spell, but right now it had a very real purpose. It was designed to keep an Headmaster from falling out the window should it ever break. The spell essentially caught Silas and deposited him on the floor rather unceremoniously, while the chair sailed out the window and crashed to the ground. Fortunately because of it's metals it stayed in one piece, and since it was still just a Golem the construct just remorphed itself into it's Bouncer shape and began to make the long walk up the 6 stories to the office.

Silas picked himself up off the floor and rubbed his backside tenderly for a moment before berating Danni. "Cute. Anyway, all of the evidence I presented was completely legal. The court's security would't have allowed it through if it wasn't legal. And all of it pointed directly to Ialo. So back off. Ialo's now serving his rightful time, and I'm attempting to do my new job as Headmaster by turning this school into a profitable establishment that produces good, well rounded youths for the growing workforce out there in the real world. Now leave, I have business to discuss." Silas walked over to his desk where the other golem had already morphed into an exact copy of the chair and sat down tenderly.

((Yeah, but we'll all be online tomorrow, so John can type up a proper response to Riser's fit then, no worries! He just had that whole post already typed up when everyone else submitted before him.))

Elsewhere:

Nathan Enlil sighed and sat back in his chair, a tall-backed, coffee-colored, swiveling beast. No, he was not in some sort of fancy penthouse office. He was at home, in his personal library. Said library was amazing, in his opinion. It was not the largest, nor did it have the greatest collection ever. But, it did have everything Nathan needed. It had thousands on thousands of record books. If he got up and walked over to the west wall, three shelves over and two down, he would pull out the first notebook he started keeping records in, back when what was now Enlil Corporation was literally a homemade server in a rented studio.

He gazed at the ceiling, wondering very calmly what to do. His eldest son had been arrested. It was cruel, in a sense, for Silas Lyme had done it for the sake of money. Nathan knew that. Almost everyone in the high-level business world, that’s what they did it for – the money. Quite honestly, even Nathan started out that way. He was a flat-broke university student with a talent for working computer code. He had to do something to make a living. It was Elaine who showed him the right way to talk to the right people, and how to force a backyard experiment to explode into an empire. She was clever, and for that he loved her.

But what to do about Ialo? As underhanded it was, Nathan knew that his son was definitely guilty of several major charges. He was not, like he let people assume, the clueless bumbling father. While he had both of those qualities in spades, Nathan was neither of those completely. After all – he would not have gotten where he was today simply by relying on his wife for all these years. That would be silly. You never rely on people you can’t trust to do things exactly the way you want them done.

There was nothing to be done, Nathan silently conceded. He had no way to prove his son’s innocence, and to engage in any sort of legal battle with Lyme would result in wasted money and effort. So, he would turn his attention elsewhere.

“My, my, Mister Lyme,” he murmured to himself as he read a few articles on the rival company. “Lots of big names. Very inspiring. Weeding out such deep corruption in my own family of all places… Allow me to return the favor.”

Silas was genuinely afraid. This... this.... THING just.... (quite literally) went apeshit and was tearing his spare golem to pieces! Silas spent over 2 million dollars getting these things created and buffed up with some of the best (and mostly illegal) spells and defenses that he could buy! The fact that this man was able to do any damage to them at all was testament enough to his powers. But Silas still had a few tricks up his sleeve. Under his breath he began to incite the invocations to activate the defensive teleportation spells imbued in the walls of the office. Suddenly there was a green flash underneath Riser's feet, and a few seconds later he would find himself in the classroom that he had chosen as his own. Unfortunately he had such a good grip on his golem that the spell took it along with Riser, dropping all of the pieces in a pile in front of Riser's feet.

As soon as Riser left the room warped back to it's original state, minus the bay window of course. Silas settled back into his chair and invoked another of the office's spells, this time conjuring a meeting table and at least 20 chairs. Silas' employees immediately took seats and began to spread their respective tools and papers in front of themselves accordingly. Silas waved one of his employees to the door and they immediately jumped up and closed it as best they could with the gaping hole in it. Honestly Silas didn't care too much about privacy at the moment. There was important work to be done and he had already wasted a least 10 minutes of his time, and that added up to 3,000 dollars that was no longer his. This fact alone angered Silas more than anything, and he immediately called the meeting to order, demanding that his analysts come up with results within the next hour. They all began to scramble, checking their laptops for stock changes and rifling through the school's economic records for any useful information.

"Hey, where does it hurt the most?" No 'are you alright' from Ophi. He had walked by just in time to see Professor Leaton land at the bottom of a staircase. Even if the boy was well enough to stand up after that, that wasn't something you asked 'are you alright' to.

Already, the healer had a little stream of magic going flowing through his hand, just waiting for Alec's response - to either the question, or the fact Ophi now had jet black hair, a dark sinister robe, and a pet snake coiled around his neck.

Alec however hadn't received more than a bruised backside, so he simply picked himself up off the while holding a hand up for Ophi to relax. "Nrgh, don't worry, it's nothing serious. Besides I don't want your hands where it hurts anyway." It was then that Alec looked at the snake and saw his new get up. Alec honestly had to do a double take, Ophi looked completely different than he usually did. Alec blinked his eyes a few times before he asked confusedly, "Alright, I have to ask. What's with the getup?"

Ophi grinned once Alec realized what he had done. "You sure? These are good hands," he teased as he pulled the little garden snake from around his neck and held him up for Alec to see better.

"Family matters," he explained. "But I'm not allowed to interfere with the law. So, while everyone else is trying to dismember Silas and, or, guilt trip him, I'm just going to be very, very creepy." He brushed his hair back, and something glinted - he had gone so far as to pierce his ear, and wear an earring that frankly looked like a miniature human skull on a stake. "Age doesn't equal maturity, you know?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 15, 2010 8:59 pm

"A belief I've always held near and dear to my hear. Glad to see someone else embracing it." Alec nodded his head satisfactorily at Ophi's new appearance, but had to comment on the logistics of his attack strategy. "While I do applaud the effort I have to say that I don't think that's gonna be the best way to take this jerk down. We need to figure out what he's been doing, figure out how he managed to convict Ialo. As soon as we find something we can exploit we need to use it against him to try and get Ialo back. He got Ialo jailed, he can probably bring him back."

Ophi shook his head. "I just said, I'm not allowed to interfere with the law. I'll do what I can for you, though. Besides..." He put the snake back around his neck. "I need to take as few risks as possible. I'm in one of the better positions to protect the Fountain. Worst comes to worst though, when Seven packed up Ialo's belonging, she gave me a machine gun he had in his closet."

Athena eventually decided that she would not get anything from being where she was, and headed down the stairs. She could hear Ophi talking to Alec--wait, he was back? Oh, wait, yeah. He had flown over her head on his way downstairs. So she skipped downstairs (well, sort of) to talk to them, since they were actually interesting to talk to.

But then she stopped dead.

Ophi... did not look like Ophi. But she would be lying if she said she didn't like the change. It made her sound like a boycrazy schoolgirl (which was at least three quarters true--she was a crazy schoolgirl). The robes actually didn't look like a dress, somehow, despite his really long hair which she had a sudden urge to touch because it was there and... oh my, when had she gotten so close? Without noticing, she was now standing with her face inches away from Ophi's hair, staring intently at it.

Blinking back into reality--a bit, anyways--she looked up at the healer. "...Hi. I like your hair. I'm going to touch it now." And so she did, reaching out to take a piece and start running her fingers through it with (somewhat) unusual amazement. It was... black.

Ophiuchus slowly looked down at Athena. He knew better than to ask if she was being serious, he already knew the answer. "It's the same hair as before," he pointed out, a bit confused as to the sudden attention from Athena. "Wait - do you like it better black?"
PostPosted: Sun Aug 15, 2010 10:23 pm

"Yes," she said, bluntly, still running her fingers through the hair. "It's different." Oh-so-explanitory. "I see lots of white hair, lots of funny-color hair, and not lots of black hair." Which actually was starting to sound pretty ridiculous. Shouldn't white hair have been particularly uncommon and black common? Oh well. Whatever. She had black hair, too. But hers was natural--as far as she knew, this was not natural for Ophi. Bringing the hair close to her face, she sniffed it. ...It smelled like Ophi, like incense, though, not dye. Hm. A spell? Probably.

"...it smells nice."

"Yes, well...." He faltered, and looked over at Alec, his eyes pleading for help. "Black is a common hair color for those of Asian descent... the Japanese, Chinese, Indians...." Black was, actually, his natural hair color. Well, it used to be.

"And white hair... It's actually common in dragons." Hooray for random trivia time. " - And why are you sniffing my hair?!"
