Layna stood slowly, her eyes shut now. When she opened them, she cracked her neck, and opened her eyes. Inside, she fumed, but she was also deathly afraid. She knew the wolf inside was only sleeping, but it would hold, for a time.
"I'm tired...of being pushed around!" She snapped, running forward, toward the sound of all hell, it seemed, breaking loose.

Cynder twirled in a circle, revealing many hidden daggers hidden in the folds of her dress. "Don't underestimate me." she chuckled darkly. She was interested in this Vampire - he seemed bloodthirsty, and wasn't afraid to kill. Her eyes narrowed in thought.

Deon turned, watching the fight with a small smirk on his face. They may finish each other off, making his job that much easier. He then found nearby tree and leaned against it, watching them...bored, he decided to shout something "COMEON! SMASH THEIR FACE OPEN!" He was an avid hockey fan.

Something slammed into Deon, pushing him to the ground. A hand covered his mouth. "Would you be quiet, Hunter?!" Layna said through bared teeth.

hearing the humans words just angered him. it also reminded him that things had grown out of his control. there was no point in being here any longer. he looked towards the vampire and screamed into her mind, doing no harm but distracting her as he jumped and fled from sight.

Deon looked up at the werewolf and blinked "Why?" He asked "If they killed each other that means at least one less mortale will die! That's why I live, or at least try do do. Even though I suck at my job If I can just slay one then Ill be happy, knowing I saved one life." He glared at her "What about you? Whats your purpose?"

Layna stood quickly. "No purpose. I am Human and Wolf. What more is there to tell?" She muttered, pulling the faded jacket around her. Her head hurt from the yelling, and she wouldn't let this human make himself something, or somebody's snack.

With a slight sigh he stood up and looked over at her "Well...if you want a purpose I can help you with that..." He said smiling slightly "The wolf in you can be tamed, and become a strength, Ive meant a few that have managed it...but tell me, do you want to help others? Save them from creatures that would enjoy eating them or taking away even more then their lives?"

"I don't know." Layna said, looking at the man. "It's kind of hard when there's quite a few people willing to kill me without a thought." She muttered quietly. Her thoughts dwelled on Zarathos, and she looked down at the ring on her finger. She sighed and directed her attention back to the man.

Something suddenly snapped in her mind, a roar like water. She realized quickly what it was. She closed her eyes, clenching her teeth as the wolf bared down upon her restraints.

He laughed softly at her comment and then smiled at her "Quite a few people want to kill me, some human, some inhuman. Its something that just happens, sure being a hunter may up that list, but you get to stop others from being killed for no real reason. At least as a hunter people have a decent reason to try and kill ya, you know?" He saw the ring of course, but decided not to comment, unless she gave him reason to.

The taste of his blood was magnificent. Even if it was a drop or two. She did not get much, but it gave her enough to be able to almost lock onto his scent. Now her mind was clouded with instinctive thoughts on his blood. Blood was something she had not had a drop of in so long. Now being able to taste it again, it was like being a newborn vampire all over. Her ripe power controlled her, until his distraction took place.
Before she knew what happened, he was gone.
"Dammit!"
Takiko snarled angrily, her dark eyes glancing around in the shadows. Now with a blood lust she had been controlling herself from, Takiko felt as though the best thing to do would be to kill the closest thing to her. And right now, that was Deon and Layna. Her friendship with Layna was the only thing stopping Takiko from ambushing her now. Instead, she cowered next to a tree. Her whimpering growls came from the darkness she tried to hide in.

"I.Will.Not.Become.A.Killer..." Layna muttered, keeping her eyes closed. She was answering Deon. She stood, more like stumbled, to her feet, her eyes stared at Deon with a radiating hatred. Even though she knew where her hatred came from, she wasn't angry at him.
Layna looked over at Takiko, and muttered softly, only her ears could hear it. "My offer still stands...."
