Zak lunges out of the bushes, grabs Zath by the mouth and chest, and pulls him back into the bushes. "Where are the blood-suckers?" he demanded.

As a precaution, Zath drew one of his knives and slid it across Zak's throat. Seeing it was Zak and hearing his question, Zath raised an eyebrow and didn't resond.
