((So John is on another mini-deployment, so we likely won't be hearing from him for another two weeks. He's not sure when he'll be able to post next. Internet is sketchy.)) ((And sooorrrrrrrrrryyyyy. I've been taking an extended break from most of my roleplays lately.)) Ophiuchus sighed, hearing Riser call for him, and abruptly disappeared from his office in the clinic to before where Riser was standing, if a bit of a distance back. No telling how he would take the news, and Ophi, though he was immortal and effectively invulnerable from his healing powers.....
Getting caught in the crossfire of an angry god still hurt.
"Firstly, I object to being called a slithering fool. Secondly, I care not where you were, but while you were gone - " Ophiuchus blatantly cast a barrier between him and Riser. "While you were away, Ialo was arrested by the High Court of Magic."
He paused and cringed, waiting for Riser's reaction. He didn't run, knowing that in all likelihood Riser would pull him back with a set of flaming chains - and that Ophiuchus would be 'kindly' asked to explain the circumstances.

He looked down momentarily, and quickly back up to Ophiuchus. "Soooo..." his voice was beginning to shake the ground in a terrifying way. "What exactly do we do..." as the pressure he was exerting quickly made the surrounding area much darker than an afternoon should ever be. "At a moment like this?" He threw his left arm out towards the old growth conifers that formed the forest surrounding MFHS, and as he squeezed his hand into a fist, one by one the trees burst with an arcane fire that left nothing but a field of black spears standing thrust from the earth.

Ophiuchus bit his lip, nervously surveyed the burnt trees. Lovely. He would go back and fix those later, along with Maggie and all the other plant-inclined students.
"I can do nothing. I am not allowed to interfere with the law, however unjust I may find it. Those are my orders from her." He briefly acknowledged the goddess that took him under her wing, so to speak. "The Court will likely put someone else in charge of the school in Ialo's place. Until whenever that is, a school employee will have to pick up those tasks."
"Effectively, Ialo no longer exists. Judging by the size of the task force they brought to seize him, I doubt they're going to give him up anytime soon..." Oh, he was rambling. That was bad. "There's nothing we can do, really."

"I'm guessing it's likely that I'll be sealed away again should I break in and start killing people?" He stared at the Healer, a blank expression conveyed a definite 'YES.'
"And what of Danni, she's not been involved in this has she?"

"Quite likely," Ophiuchus agreed, frightened by the blank anger in Riser's face. "And no, Danni is here..."
"You're going to go try and bust him out, aren't you?"
((Pffft, Danni is one.... two.... three.... about five of the reasons Ialo is in jail.))

"I've worked too hard to regain what power I have, I will not be sealed away again just to lose it all. If we're to save him, I'll be sending someone in my place. In fact, it's much more likely it will be three someones."
He stood staring at the pebbles on the ground, enticing them full of dark energy and watching as they collided with one another, filling the air with some infinitesimal amount of dust like so many miniature nuclear strikes.
"Get out here!" he screamed suddenly, and in a burst of blue fire the three figures he had mentioned stood behind him. "They are Apollo, Ananke, and of course, Hades."

"Aha," Ophiuchus said simply. He did not want to get involved in the slightest, nor did he wish to remark on the probability of Riser's recovery mission succeeding. Ophi wanted Ialo out of there as well, of course, but he did not want to break the law in order unbreak it... if that was possible and made any sense at all.
He tilted his head slightly, suspiciously. ".... No, nevermind, I will not ask."

He merely gave him a self-righteous smirk in return. "As if you should even have to."
"So, how exactly do we go about finding the kid? I can't even tell where he is."

Ophiuchus raised an eyebrow. "You're asking me that? I honestly have no idea. It's the High Court of Magic, they have their own plane of existence, and I don't know where it is."
"I would think that they most likely used a portal to get there, though. It's only been a few hours, maybe your three can figure out where the helicopter they took him in went."

He scratched the back of his head, clearly disconcerted by the healer's newest proclamation. "So, if I can't find this place, and you can't either..."
Resorting to drastic measures, he removed a small capsule from his pocket. Bright green, he crushed it in his fingers and threw it onto the ground as flames of the same color began to spew from the cracks. With a sudden BANG, a fourth person stood amongst them.
Clearly he was not an Olympian simply by appearance, he wore a dark green jacket over his right shoulder, the bulk of the coat blowing around behind him. Some strange helmet sat atop his head, covered in scopes and different arrays of imaging devices.
In an instant he was behind Ophiuchus, his 8" combat knife poised at his throat.
"Hey! Did I tell you to kill him?"
"Well...no..."
"Then stop assuming s**t, god, everytime..."
"But...you summoned me, so I..."
"Just shut up, you're making me look like a fool."

Dymetri stood there quite still, with a fixed vacant expression, in the middle of the forest. His mouth quivered from the sheer thought of the rich, flowing liquid passing through his dry lips and into his aching throat. He longed for the familiar feeling of being filled, of knowing that his insides were pumping something that didn't belong to him. His blank eyes didn't reflect this feeling in the slightest. His eyes flickered right, catching the small movement near the bushes. A small hiss escaped his mouth as he sprung in the direction, the ravaged animal within him coming out to play. He felt fur beneath his sharp fingertips and dug down, tearing flesh and drawing blood. Dymetri's fangs slid from their gums as he hissed louder, his eyes showing only one emotion: hunger. He looked into the eyes of his prey and.. paused before striking. The animal's eyes morphed into something human-like. Which, of course, wouldn't have mattered if they were frightened human eyes. They were curious, intelligent and most of all, innocent. Dymetri's jaw dropped, his eyes wide. The face belonged to Lin. And there was blood everywhere.
"Lin!" he shrieked, his hair matted with sweat. He was breathing heavily through clamped teeth. He quickly ran his hand through his wet hair, every vein protruding from his skin. He was in bed, wearing only underwear. The bed wasn't his. "Lin," he repeated quietly, turning to find the love of his life staring at him from underneath the covers.

{{You said that the bed wasn't Dymetri's. Does that mean they're in Lin and Athena's room or are they in his/Marcos' room and it doesn't feel like his b/c this would be the first night he slept in it?}}
Lin immediately sat up when she heard Dymetri scream her name. Usually she would have not been in bed, but Dymetri needed to sleep and she wanted to be with him. So she rested beside him, which turned out to be a very good thing, apparently.
The sound of his scream turned her blood to ice and her heart race in fright. What was wrong with him?! What had happened?!
Lin leaned over and cupped Dymetri's soft face in her hands and gazed deeply into his eyes. She sent calming waves to him, hoping it would work. Elves could usually calm people by looking deep into their eyes, deep into their souls.
"Dymetri, calm down, my love. Breathe deeply and try to relax. Seere a’mael*."
Her voice was deeper and softer as she spoke the Elven phrase. It was almost entrancing. The Elven tongue flowed naturally from her. She had been at home the day before and the Elven language usually remained with her for a few days after she would leave home.
What had frightened him so?
"What is the matter?"
{{*Peace, beloved}}

((I don't know. Improvise, that's what I did. Lol.))
"Shh," he said, still staring at Lin's overall face. However, he was trying to also calm himself rather than her. He felt the sweat droplets running down his temples. He felt every small movement. Was this shock? "Shh... It was just a dream." He allowed himself to look at her eyes and what he found gave him déjà vu. Curiousity, concern, intelligent, soulful and most of all, innocent.
His hands planted themselves on her shoulders, his forehead pressed against her own. "It was a dream, a nightmare. It doesn't matter." He stayed in that position until his breathing evened and his heart rate slowed. A flash of a bloody Lin passed through his memory and he grasped Lin into an embrace. He needed to feel her, needed to know she was there, needed to hear her breathe.
"Let's be close," he said softly.
