Hello. I am Visba. It's just some random name I came up with about 2 years ago that no one uses in any of the video games that I've played or the forums I've joined. I usually play a character that is mysterious, misunderstood, and generally ends up using shadow magic and weilding a scythe.

I like D&D, but can never find a party to play with. I looked at the horror RP and I want to join that, but I really don't know where or when to begin, or if I'll still be able to join it in 2 weeks when I leave Jew camp and go back home to my lack of a life, good computer access, and good internet connection.

I also have a character that I am currently using in an RP (story, not call-response). His name is Nex (I think that it means death in Latin, but I'm not sure.) He was kidnapped by a cult of Necromancers that killed his parents when he was a boy, but about a year ago he stole some crazy artifacts and escaped (but only because the artifacts willed it.) These artifacts are a shadow cloak and a Scythe called Manreaper (yes, I ripped off the name from W40K and I'll rename it later). Now, he is trying to get revenge upon the Necromancers, and also figure out why the scythe keeps saving him (which it has now done twice, yay for intelligent weapons that act upon their own will!)

I don't expect to use him, but I wanted to tell of some problems I've encountered with my roleplaying style and that kind of stuff. One major problem I have in story RPs is that I either too conveniently in the right place at the right time for the main characters on too many occasions, or I just had some random item lying around which did something that changed the plot. In less organized games where everyone plays like "ok, this happened, this character died but his soul is still kinda floating around" and no one has any sort of plan to fix it, this isn't an issue, but in a better planned game, I need to have some sort of DM figure to keep me in check.

Also, I can't get away from the whole shadow magic scythe thing... even in D&D, my current character is a Wizard with the Martial Weapon feat so I can give him a scythe (I wanted to try something new), and I'm just not happy having just a sword or thing like that (unless I'm dual wielding daggers) but regardless, the whole shadow magic thing still plays a role. I mean, I can easily play other types of characters, but I choose not to, and I really need to be more well-rounded with my characters.

There's also this problem that there's never really a good place to get a scythe. I mean do people just leave battle-scythes lying around? Pffft, no! Or are there street vendors that say "selling random battle-scythes!" I think not! This occasionally causes problems for me.

Erm... I'm gonna stop rambling on about stuff now or I'll be here for all of my free time, and at camp, free time is precious.

The name is Meilin Nokomis, though surprisingly I've never roleplayed with this name. Meilin is from Cardcaptors, the anime, and Nokomis is a random Native American name I found in a book. I normally switch my character's name in each RP I do to keep it interesting. Their personalities each are similar, but I do put tweaks on them so it isn't as though I'm playing the same character as in a different RP. I think I'm going to like it here. biggrin

I've been RPing for almost my whole entire Gaia life, which isn't totally long, it's been a year since Saturday!
