That was...mighty conveniant. Coailiann took it and eyed it for a moment before putting it beside her mouth and speaking into it.
"Okay." She jumped slightly in surprise at how loud the thing was, "Wow. Okay. I know where we are and...uh...We're not exactly in Gaia, or my sister's realm anymore."
Taking a deep breath the Sidhe tried to figure out how to explain that they were in an alternative to limbo with dead creatures and their energy, life, and color being drained out and...it was bad.
Right.
"We're in a place called in between. It's somewhere between life and death, but it's not limbo. Uhm...My sister said it's an alternative that offers a final death. Meaning...It's possible to die here, if a living being gets trapped."
Yeah, that would send off warning bells and panic, but they had to know...right?
"The spirits here...are bad and good, but something definitely is bad." The girl looked frightened, but it wasn't likely able to be seen, "And trying to get to us. I think...I think they want us because we can help them live if they....kill us."
It was a guess and a stab in the dark, but Matilda hadn't told her TOO much about the in between.

Ulp. Oh this sounded deathly familiar. Being trapped somewhere you couldn't escape with creatures that are after your life. No matter how many times it happened he still hated it.
Okay, so it only almost happened once. That's still more than he was comfortable with.
His eyes shot to his child in the playpen, whom was curled up in a ball among the other children and gumming at his gray little fist. It hadn't even been a day yet and he was questioning his parental instincts. So what would he do if he were his father?
He'd do what his father did. Of course. He moved back toward the lobby area, still glancing over his shoulder for any sign that the forces in the garden were advancing. Being this far from Wiko was unacceptable, but he would still stay between his wendigo and the danger.
"Question, Kay," he asked, loudly. "What do we DO about it?"

It was when things got to get ******** scary and stuff started clicking did Yashi feel anything akin to fear. He had followed Zah and hadn't caught up to him by the time Kay was free. When she started to shriek, he had hid behind it all.. who wanted the screaming girl to SEE him? The fox boy flicked his ears as Kay started explaining what was going on, lips pulling into a frown.
"In between." He muttered, scraping up behind Zah to latch onto his friend. Zah was officially a teddy bear, damnit. The fox was scared, despite him trying to act otherwise. "Do they have Iamel?" His voice was a little louder, almost darking Kay to freak out on him again.
A short laugh was his answer behind him as Iamel ducked down to pull Neveah up. "You WISH, kid. I'm not that easy to get. But Taylor...Oi. Where the hell is she? TAYLOR!" Oh, how he wished he could see things.
Then the talk of dying came and Zah was released. "What?! No. What can we do? Can we kill them again? Or now? Or what?" ((Ignore my craptastic excuses. I WILL ******** meta, despite it all going on when I'm at work.))

Ari was growing more tired far more quickly. She held onto Art with all the strength she had, and it still didn't even feel as if she had more than a grasp on the child.
She wasn't even sure if she should hope that someone heard her. It hurt to do that one shout as her voice echoed harshly in the confined area they were trapped in.
"Artemis," She smiled at her daughter, "Let's hope someone finds us soon ok?"
Her daughter nodded as is she was a robot who just followed a command. There was no feeling in her movements. A tear came to Ari's eyes. She hugged her daughter, using all of her strength to do so.
"Don't give up Art." She whispered.
Suddenlly Her daughter stood, as if that roof wasn't there, and she offered a hand to Ari. She didn't seem to be two or three in her motions, but far older. Ari smiled and gave her daughter her hand and found herself being pulled slowly by her daughter.
Ari started to help push herself along.
A breeze of ice hit Ari's face, and she knew that she wasn't trapped, but instead partially burried. She tried to stand, and found that her wobbly legs were struggling with that.
Art pointed into more darkness. She was still all that Ari could see as the child spoke in monotone, "Go?"

Rouge had wandered out of the way to check to see what the commotion at the door to the garden was about. She could see Art and Ari outside and just how tired Ari was. Rushing out she got there just as Artemis asked her question. And as that happened the woman answered for her.
"Where we're all going is inside." and with that the woman knelt, slinging the tired Ari over her shoulder and looking to Art. "This way kiddo." she said, indicating the door.

Aurrek barely suppressed a full-body shudder at the idea of dying here. The only thing his godly status protected him from was a natural death, and any place that took the color out of things faster than putting too much bleach in the washer by mistake was most definitely not natural.
"Uh, yeah, how do we get out of here?" he asked, seconding Nicolai's question.

"I...I don't know," Coailiann said uncertainly, "But there's the training room and there are a LOT of weapons. Some that I can grab because there aren't any wards, but they're normal. And I don't know if they'll work on spirits but they're weapons, right? They should help?"
She paused and fiddled with Zah's hair uncertainly, "The magic weapons, the ones that may be helped, are warded in a closet. I think...I think only adults living here can get them and I don't know where my dad is..."
Crap. Nic lived there, didn't he? "Nic! You can get them!"

There! Just as she'd feared, twin auras formed out in the garden, causing Kyo to inadvertently shudder. Before she could act, Rouge had gone out, an aura that began to help the two along. She waited for them, hanging in the open door while watching the shuddering walls and listening to the explanation. In between? Lovely.

Taking a long, somber look about the room, Danny couldn't help but reflect on the little wendigo babe. How long ago had it been, that she had been comparing Vana to the little thing and marvelling at how pretty and bright her own babe had been....
Well. The tables had certainly turned, hadn't they?
The playpen seemed to be the place to go; somewhat numbly, Danny let the little leafy girl down with the other babes, watching her distantly. Something was far from right in the woman. It could well be that the situation was just too much for Danny to keep track of; for a girl who had not believed in magic until there'd been a little green wisp filling up her life, this entire thing was all but incomprehensible.
Stay and be good, babe. Running a finger over the child's cheek and giving the girl a tiny smile, Danny broke away from the playpen at last, trying to clue herself in to what everyone was talking about. Enough panicking and moping- she had to do what she could to keep Vana safe.

Ari leaned against the lady, "Thank you, Art listen to the nice lady for me will you?" Art nodded. Ari allowed the lady to lead her back inside, although she didn't fully understand WHY they were going inside, when from what she remembered it was worse off then here.
At least everything was starting to become visable again...

Shadows filled the garden area, but everything seemed to happen so fast. Kyocho and Oak couldn't recall on how they got out of there, but luckily they did. They where safe. The gardens was under attack by forms of shadows. Looking and gazing around the room. The elf looked for a familiar figure of a broken butterfly. Finally spotting his target. Kyocho held even tighter to his charge and ran off and kneeled next to Neveah.
"Neveah, you ok? What about Zah, did you find him?"
Oak was taking some deep breaths. Feeling slightly out of place from the transition the HQ went through. Turning his tiny once upon a time colorful head around. Oak scanned the room with his deep grey eyes. Looking around at all the figures of people. “Ah.. Ahh.” Oak once again dug his face into his guardians shoulder.
Something felt different about the charge between his arms. Looking down. His Elvin eye sight granting him a some what advantage in the dark. Oak did't seem as colorful as he once had. Different shades of grey covered the babies head. "Oak? What's wrong?! Why are you grey. Neveah... I don't know what's wrong."
Looking up at Kay. Kyocho listened in on her speech. Something about… In between.

As Rouge, Ari and Art made it in the door, the woman kicked it shut. "Lock that." she commanded, carrying Ari over to a couch to lay her down. "I'm going to take Art over to the playpen where we're keeping the other little ones so they'll be safe. You rest here and pay attention to what Kay says to do. She's in charge right now."
Taking Art by the hand she led the girl over to the pen where the other little ones were. "Can you get in or do you need a hand?" she asked the child.

Nicolai watched the Pirate run past him and stopped dead in his tracks. Wait. Someone WAS out there?
Just to be sure, he headed back down the hallway, again, flipping open the lock on the garden door and peering in slowly and carefully. The garden was a ball of creep, though thankfully finally empty. He slammed the door shut and flipped the lock back closed, returning in a hurry as he heard Kay call for him.
"Right... How many do you need?" he answered dryly, in his typical sardonic-during-crises manner.

Art walked with the lady and her mommy inside again. She kept a had on her mommy's clothing, clinging in concern for what was taking the light from her. She didn't know why but she felt tried, and lonely, and the darkness scared her.
When she made it into the building once more Artemis spotted Kyo. The lady taking her mom in wanted her to go to a play pin, instead, he let go and ran to the lady, stumbling and wobbling as she went. "Ko! ko!" She tugged on the Kyo's garb and pointed at her mom.

Zasalamel had winced when Kay's voice seemed to magnify...but after pawing at his ears, the ringing eventually went down. He startled a bit when Yashi latched onto him, but like the noise, he relaxed quickly to that too, letting go of one of Kay's knees to pat the fox's arm reassuringly.
But then, he saw Neveah after hearing Iamel speak. "...Ilhar!" Was all he could mutter out, staring at the scared buterfly who seemed so much smaller to him now, so much more frail than she had been before. Unable to move unless he dropped Kay, he merely stared at her, chewing on his bottom lip.
"I found him Kyo, he's got Kay on his shoulders...thank GOD he's okay... She murmured.
Neveah only stared at Iamel, quietly thanking him for picking her up. Her feet were wobbling though, and she tried her best to get through the crowd to stand near her son.
"Weapons?" Neveah eventually piped up, baffled. "I doubt all of us can fight Kay, what are the people who can't supposed to do? Stand there?" She couldn't fight, but she didn't want to stand there stupidly, either.
