Sobbing trees, Angry Trees, and gross trees. Honestly, DreamWatcher was starting to question why this was even worth it in the first place. With a small shake of her head, a couple curls fell into her face, but she quickly glance at a striped tree?
"Stripe trees, this can't be right?"
She jumped when it came to life, lecturing her about how everything was impossible, so this was apparently normal. Ears folding back, she was about to turn and just leave when it asked her to give it a shake. Chewing on her bottom lip, she steps forward as she wraps her arms around it.
As hard as she could, she shook the tree with all her might. As the tree starts laughing, she jumps back just as it spits out a Fragment. catching it, she blinks a few times before she looks to the tree.
As it gibes her a good bye, she waves and turns. With fragment in hand, she held tight to is as she kept walking through the woods. One more tree and she would be done.

Rocker came to his first tree. Which wasn't really a tree at all. Was that what the sign had meant? Finding things without finding anything at all? Who the hell knew? He sure didn't. Gah, he almost wished for his sister now. He flopped down on the tree stump to figure out which tree he wanted to check out next.

The colors bothered killsteal, for one. For another, he was still a bit baffled about what he had just gotten himself into. He lifted a paw with some disdain as the ground shifted, sniffing the air with a wrinkled face. A tree had the audacity to stare back. Alrighty then.
There was something marked ahead, which made it as good a place to start as any. The talking sign post (more alrighty then) declared it wanted him to check out five trees. A bit miffed the beginning portion of his adventure wasn't a bit more, say, adventurous, killsteal turned to locate some specimens. Perhaps one would give him reason enough to sharpen his claws . . .

[5/5] It took her only a matter of minutes to come across another new tree. This one said nothing, nor did it seem to react to her. Slowly stepping closer, she turns her eyes towards the signs. As she read the signs, she blinks rereading them a few more times.
It made since, and yet...
Nope, she wasn't even going to think about it. That was her final tree, it was to return to the tree plank. Rushing back, she comes to a stop just a couple inches away from it. Instead of the exclamation mark, it was now a question mark.
"I've visited five tree just as you asked."
It was quiet for a moment before she heard a rather loud DING
A rush of power ran through her, causing her to look down at her hands.
Also within her hands was something rather curious to her.
No matter, she would figure out what it was soon enough. Glancing around at others as the seem to stare at strange tree.
Now what should she do?

Her eyes were wide, like their usual wide. Maybe even wider as she stared out at what she had woken up to. Or, kind of woken up to. More like appeared. Olivia didn't know the specifics, usually she didn't dream of any kind because she generally didn't sleep. So, what she found was amazing, all around her. Dreams were amazing (this was even better than that one time she talked to herself) even if it did make her drink something weird and make her fall down a hole and tell her things she didn't completely understand (what was an AI?)
Still, it was all so neat. And she even got to pick a new name to play around in this new place. The small ghoul wondered if her friends got to do the same as she looked up at the name registration with a wide smile on her face and entered in her favorite emote in the selection box. Yup. OuO. Because she couldn't just put in Olivia, it didn't seem like it wanted her to and she couldn't remember her Critter handle (Andrew had made that after all). She thought it looked cute anyway.
Along with the name Caterpillar, when she saw it listed on the job selection screen. This was all seeming to be like one of those games she had downloaded on her phone. That gave her a job to do and stuff, and moreso when it switched over her clothing to something armored and large for her small little frame. "Fuzzy coat ~" She chirped loudly, running a hand over the soft trim.
This was so neat! What next, what next! Off to the woods!

After having a nice little one sided conversation with an exclamation point, OuO more than happily took up the task to go meet some of the trees in the vast vast woods all around her. There were so many different types just in one turn, she wasn't sure where to exactly start.
So, she picked a direction and marched herself on over, not even minding when the ends of her cape dragged on the ground behind her. She had a mission of sorts and she was going to do it. Even if the first tree she came across seemed rather offput from her approach. It didn't want to be her friend, which made her a little sad.
And the simple little ghoul, of course, made the mistake of trying to go up further to it. Maybe to prove it wrong that she would not hurt it in anyway. It still didn't care and hit her with some of its branches. "Ow! That was mean ~" She scrunched her nose and made her way away from the mean tree.

9: You reach a tree with a lot of signs on it. The signs read "This, Way, To, Nowhere, And, Everywhere." They are in separate signs, and the "And" is a separate sign of its own. This is a very informative tree!
Waffleberry stared at this tree, too. It was a little perplexing. "Which way? That one? Or that one? Should we follow the way? Or maybe each sign points somewhere else because each place is named something else?" This place did seem very strange, that was possible.
The voice in her head grumped at her.
"Fine." She took another look at the tree, shrugged, and moved on.

The first tree killsteal encountered was . . . long. And a bit picky too by the looks of things. He engaged in a small staring contest as it tried ot wave him off, talking about noses and being clean and things distinctly not rewarding him for his efforts.
He turned away for just a moment to scout for a different tree--and when he made to snit at the damn thing, it was gone.
Seriously? It was that sort of quest?

Having finished climbing the tree, Boi was ready to get the search on for whatever it was he was searching for. Seriously, the waypoint just said to explore. So there was no real goal in mind, but Boi felt that searching was a much better use of time than exploring! Of course, because he could get back to search-exploring, a tree began to call out to him. He had to stop for a moment and wonder if it was at all alarming that he thought a tree calling out to him was normal.
Approaching the gregarious floral, he was surprised to hear it ask a very specific riddle. Boi was.... Erm... dumb. Really not that bright at all and it took him a long time to come up with an answer. All that thought process was mixed with angry muttering, stomping, dirt kicking and bitter swears. Finally he turned to the tree and declared, "IT DOESN'T MATTER!" and walked off.

Spotting the first promising tree he saunters right up to it. SwordnBoard begins to riffle through the branches, well he would if the tree didn't suddenly slap his hand away and start molting all over him with its furious denial.
"Arugh. Stop. I just. Okay okay fine I'll leave." Muttering and rubbing the back of his hand He moves on to hopefully a nicer tree.

3/5 It was really starting to bother him. If there was no goal involved, then searching was a bad word. Angrily, he leaned against one of the trees to think. Maybe resting was a good idea?
"Psst, hey. You." Boi was going to ignore it again, but it repeated once, twice, and three times. Slowly, he looked up and placed an inquisitive thumb towards himself. "Yeah, YOU. Over HERE."
That was when he saw the cute sapling, with the uncute teeth. Nervous, Boi carefully approached the tree. "Guess what I'm hiding!"
After the riddle fiasco Boi was not in the mood for games, but his competitive nature forced him to continue on. "I don't know. What are you hiding?"
The little sapling giggled, "Something in my mouth!" It opened it's teeth and spat out an odd diamond. A fragment, something said in the back of his mind. Right, these were important. Smiling, Boi pocketed the fragment and patted he sapling on the head.

The second tree he found was--
"I don't think so, the last people who were here were terribly mean about it. Terribly, terribly mean and it just won't do anymore. If you come any closer I will have to resort to violence I mean it! Don't come any closer!"
--also annoying. Wow. Was his luck just crap, or was the sign post trolling him somehow? killsteal stared at the tree for a few moments, ready to gouge a few inches off its damn trunk. In the end, however, the gryphon backed off with a dark huff in search of new copses.
