7: You reach a tree stump and it isn't able to talk because it is a tree stump. It makes a great item for sitting though.
In his exploration, he wondered if there are any more talking trees like the petite one he just met. However, he found himself in front of a stump of a tree. The tall Gryphon merely stared at the stump in curiosity if it might say something, but nothing at all. It did made him sad to see it though. "Excuse me . . ." He talked to it, asking for permission as he sat on the stump to get a small rest.

Rest found a smaller tree grinning at her, wanting to play a guessing game. "What am I hiding?" It quizzed cheerily, swaying from side to side in a little happy dance.
"Ohhhh... hm. Acorns? Small rocks?" The girl guessed, squatting down to it's level.
"I'm hiding something in my mouth!" It squealed, revealing a fragment. With a flashy eye and a quick hand, Reflect had earned her second fragment of the day.

Again Angel found another stripy tree (Who also was a little indignant at being considered to be silly for having stripes), so he shook this one as well. Though even if it was strange, the changing colors of it's stripes was pretty cool.
He was also lucky enough to score another fragment off the tree.

[3/5] Now the next tree, completely grossed Dreamwatcher out. She was not sticking her hands up in its nose. Tress didn't even have noses. Wiping her hands off on the coat, she backs away from it as it suggested. After a moment, she comes back to find it gone.
Grumbling, she crossed her arms.
Now how did the tree go and do that?

This place was....insane? The colours were too overly bright and deep. Her skin blended in with some of the surroundings, which was quite odd. Before coming here, she'd never had any experience like this at all.
This place just kept getting weirder.
And who the hell had given her THAT name? It...no, it couldn't be. No.
She sighed deeply, but nearly jumped out of her skin when the sign talked to her. Monster and demons she was getting use to, but talking signs? Seriously, what other weirdness could happen next? Talking bunnies?
At least this game or place, or whatever it was seemed interesting enough. "Trees?" She asked skeptically. But the sign didn't pay her any mind.
"Might as well give it a try," she shrugged her shoulders absently as she moved toward the trees.

Reflect really liked these talkative trees - even the one she nearly dug a booger out of before she was kindly stopped by said almost victim.

A tree with strips! How wonderfully silly. Oh, oh no now it was giving her a lesson, but it was a good one. So in here, anything can happen or be real it seems. She watched as its strips changed colours, it really was a sight to behold.
She laughed, it wanted a shake! Well how was she to deny a tree.
She marched right on up to the tree and gave it the biggest shake she could muster. It laughed, it was so nice to meet a happy tree.
As she turned to go DF tripped on a fragment...that wasn't there before, it must have fallen from the tree! wicked! But....this begs the question. Should she go around shaking trees?

Well. He'd found a tree stump. He walked over, and examined it, waiting for it to say something.
When he realized that, in fact, it wasn't able to speak, he shrugged, and sat down for a moment, to think about this bizarre place he was in. ((Entering)) Ah a new video game, though Jacquard doesn't really remember when he picked this one up. All those new mmorpgers all start looking the same and running together after awhile, copying whatever the best selling one did best and missing by miles. This ones graphics seem to be top notch though as he reaches out to swipe at one of the indefinite bits of particles floating around in the character creation screen. Oh wait that's right he needed to finalize the character creation, he turned back to the AI waiting patiently for his username entry. "Uh... hmm." Stupid names this was always the hardest part. Don't immortalize yourself on a social site with a dumb name. "How bout 'SwordnBoard' ?" Yeah tanks are good, everyone needs a tank... does this game even have tanks?
The AI seems to want another choice to be made offering a variety of outfits."Oh um is this what we have to wear? Ugh" SwordnBoard juts his tongue out of his mouth and scrunches up his face looking through the choices. "Rabbit ears? mouse ears? soem of these are so... cutesy. Oh this one looks good." he points at the one with the big fur trimmed coat. the AI merely nods and then everything whites out.
Colors fade back in and the AI seems to have dropped him unceremoniously int he middle of some woods in his new and rather large fur coat. SwordnBoard glances about looking for that newbie quest every proper starting zone has. Spotting the sign with the large obnoxious exclamation point with a gaggle of people already around it, he moseys on over but not before almost tripping over his new fashion statement once.
"Lets see get lost in the starting zone and kick some trees, GOTCHA." He turns and heads what he assumes is the right direction.

The last tree he had to find ended up being a willow tree, and he was thankful it looked quite normal.
Until he began shaking it's leaves at him. He couldn't even get close let alone see it's face, not to mention being hurt by foliage was annoying.
But he had completed the tasks, and so walked back to the sigh post. "I'm done." He said, before he felt energy surging through him. "Woah!" He stumbled back, realizing he had just leveled up.
This really did feel like a game...

He was supposed to be exploring. Exploring and, you know... Looking at things. Boi still felt really put off by not realizing the AI was an AI, so any eloquence was out of the question. Instead he settled on muttering and kicking his shoe on the ground derisively as he walked. Just like the waypost said, some trees were super shy and others very bold, which was really odd because he was sure that most trees didn't have agency. Yet these were not only agent, they had personalities.
Maybe, Boi realized, if he flew to the top of the trees quickly he could observe five in one go! He did have wings, after all. Grinning brightly, he started to flap his wings. And he flapped. And flapped... And... Realized slowly that the wings on his back were nothing more than ornamentation. Well, climbing a tree then. Right.
Climbing trees was.. a lot easier said than done. Do you realize how hard it is to actually, successfully climb a tree? Well it's hard. It's really hard. At the top branch, a smiling set of teeth stared at Boi. Sure, they could be staring anywhere. There were no eyes to be sure where whatever... had... the teeth if anything actually owned this set of molars, was looking. Yet Boi could FEEL that he was being watched in a fashion that bordered on amused boredom. As if his life and curiosity were all part of a bigger game being played.
Good glob, he must've shoved his palm in some sort of moss or something. "You seem a little lost? Don't worry, we all are. I hope you find what you're looking for soon." said the teeth and then left.
Rattled from the experience, Boi climbed down and stood on the floor of the moving forest filled with sentient trees.

WD slowly made his way through the forest, canine ears twitching and eyes scanning the pool of colors. From the movement and sounds he could tell there were others running around the forest. Were they given the same task as himself? What was even the point in examining these trees? Maybe he should have paid better attention to the talking plank of wood.
Well, I was never the best at paying attention to those blabbering nonsense at me. ...At least I think he was blabbering nonsense. Or was the piece of wood a she? Eh.
As he came upon a miniature tree something seemed to catch his eye. He gaze kept skipping between the weird plant and the girl. Something about her seemed...familiar? No. That couldn't be. It had to be his eyes playing tricks on him. Maybe WD just wanted to believe there was something familiar in these twisted woods.
"Yeah yeah. That's nice, but what am I even supposed to do- okay thanks for the-, okay, just leave me confused then..."

He is a tad on the pale side with a face full of freckles and platinum blond dog ears and tail. The most striking features about him are his head of wavy red hair and bright green eyes that rest against pitch black sclera. Upon closer investigation one may notice the snake bite piecing along his bottom lip. An expression of annoyance always seem to be painted on his face.
Walking around, SLC choses a willowy thin tree that seems like a good choice. And that's when the tree talked, because...of course it did. It took a moment for her to pay attention.

The trees here were quite as tall as he was as he came face to face with a slender tree before him. It had spoken once again, not use to the fact that pretty much anything here can actually talk, but this one had a question to ask of him about the height of its friends. Now, this had him curious to hear that it had two friends, but heard three names. One of those names has to be the slender tree as it describes the different heights and lastly asked how tall it is compared to the others.
He stood there in ponder on who it could be and how tall, going over the descriptions in mind. "Well . . . Dilly, I believe you might be a bit short than your friends." From his answer, the tree dismisses it and he glared at it; his anger rising in wanting to sharpen his claws against the bark. Yet in the end, Feral_monk decided to walk away.
