I know Senshi transformations can generate visual effects - sparkles, light shows, frost, flowers, whatever dependent on sphere - but is there also music? In the show, henshin stock footage had a musical accompaniment; would that only happen at dramatically appropriate moments or every time they transform or is it just the light show no music?

These are important questions. For science.

No music, sorry!

I can not for the life of me remember if I asked this and got an answer or not:

Do Corrupt senshi have pens? It would make sense for those who were awakened with a cat, but what about those who didn't have a cat for awakening? How do they transform, is it like regular officers and it just appears?

Yes! Corrupt Senshi have pens and they can be claimed in a number of ways. If a character were to corrupt in the presence of a Corrupt Guardian Cat, they would receive their pen at this time. If a cat wasn't present at the time of corruption, the Senshi would be taken to meet up with a Guardian cat to receive one. In the case of a Senshi being corrupted from a White Moon Senshi to a Corrupt their pen would just change along with them!

Knight notes!
(they're mysterious, wondrous magic)

Do the notes appear/get delivered in the case of the receiver being outside of regular dimensional space? They've been established in lore to appear to senshi out on homeworlds, regardless of where the sender is, and to go to Knight wonders as well (which are both locations canonically in 'earth/whitemoon dimensional space.) But cross faction accessibility is always tricky, since some crossfaction locations may or may not be 'in dimension', or pocketted, etc. So I wanted to ask about it.

Would a knight note be delivered immediately to someone in the Rift ?
in Dark Kingdom space?
what about in mirror space?
or if not in either case, does it deliver to the person as soon as they're on regular dimensional space?

Unfortunately. Knight notes can not appear in the Rift or Mirrorspace, nor can Senshi phones work in these places either. These places are considered to be outside of this dimension, and the notes will only be sent once a character has returned to this dimension. Because planets/homeworlds/wonders are still in this dimension, notes would still appear instantaneously if sent from anywhere off Earth provided it was still in this dimension (unless otherwise stated!)

I know there have been questions about this so:

Did transcendence exist back during the Silver Millennium? I always assumed so but wanted to make sure.

Its is considered that transcended Senshi were around in the Silver Millennium but at a much rarer rate. In present day, Senshi spend more time and effort reconnecting with their planet thus awakening this bond where in the past this may not have been sought out by every world or Senshi. It would be on a case by case basis that some planets may have transcended Senshi who fought for this bond, while others would not find the need to develop it. It is safe to say that transcendence is becoming more common in the here and now than it was back then. As always though you can only play your character as having reached transcendence if you have gained it in present day play.

I have a really silly question about corrupts: are the holes in their chest something that can be physically interacted with, as in a physical hole that you could reach into? Or is it more of a symbolic thing regarding what happened to their starseeds?

The holes in their chest are indeed holes but unless you have the ability to reach in to chests like a Negaverse agent / Negaverse senshi can, an unseen barrier of magic would stop them if they tried. It is still not advised to root around in there though, even if you have that skill!

Hi staff, I had some growth and ORP questions, sorry if they are silly or already covered somewhere:

- If I already have the powered art for my character, but want to do pre-awakening civilian things, do they count for growth because I have the art, or not count because she's not awakened yet?

- Can Growth Items from events be used towards unlocking a cat's human form?

- Do ORP Battles count as a battle for everyone involved, or is there a minimum amount of violence a character has to contribute before it counts? How much violence? (Eg. My character is powered up at an ORP and meets the word count, but doesn't really attack anyone - is it a battle or a reg? What if she gets one hit in, etc?)

Thanks!

RP's that count towards growth requirements need to have been started a maximum of two weeks prior to the awakening of a character for it to count towards growth. In the case of ORPs, your character does not have to be involved in the fight for it to be claimed for. As long as you post the minimal amount of words (450) within the ORP, you can use it towards your growth requirements! Your character is still being exposed to battle and might learn something even if they aren't physically involved themselves!

And yes, growth items i.e lunar pens etc can be used towards gaining a Mauvians human form!

Are there any military bases around Destiny City?
PostPosted: Wed Apr 29, 2015 3:58 am
This is probably a silly question and I'm sorry if I've missed this somewhere but just wanted to double-check:

~ Do senshi phones/ upgraded phones still need to be posted into the phone thread by the player character? If so would we now post them in this thread?
~ Do player characters need to do the same with cat communication devices? If so I'm assuming that the cat ones would go here.

Is it now/will it ever be possible for Mauvian players to get 'alt civ' art of their Mauvian Cat form?

Example - Twin Mauvians PeanutButter and Jelly got into a scrap with some chaos Mauvians, so now PB needs to wear a cone of shame and J has parts of his flank shaved for stitches. Can these players get alt art on their cat forms using the cat lines with missing fur and/or the cone of shame?

Unfortunately, you cannot gain alt civ art of a Mauvian's cat stage, although you can, if you wish, apply for alternative power art of a Mauvians human stage if you are to gain obtain enough crown tokens or win an alt power slot in a raffle/contest/auction.

Okay I got a question here that's a little out there.

So, if a senshi/Nega/knight/page dies, what's the shortest amount of time before that sphere/wonder/mineral is able to be in play again?

This is dependent on a lot of factors, including faction, player plot and permission. Generally we say that character's starseed needs roughly a thousand years to be recycled in the Cauldron for OOC purposes and to give us a blank slate to set up this environment. In certain instances (such as Descended Knights) a player can give permission for a Knight name/wonder to be recycled. The player must give consent and must discuss this with the mule. In the instance of Knights, because Wonders can be passed to the next member of a line, it is possible that a Knight may pass and a relative inherits the name, but this would need to be discussed via mule. You may not try to claim the name of a deceased character of any other player out of respect, however if it is your own character we will work with you. The Negaverse will only recycle names if they run out of valid names, so it is unlikely that these will be recycled.

How recognizable are youmafied powereds to people who knew their powered forms prior? Are they affected by the same kind of glamor as sidesswitching; is their aura / physical form still recognizably them on some level?

I.e; Mantidae. If someone who knew Sailor Antiope encountered Mantidae, would they recognize her? If someone who knew Corrupt Sailor Antiope from the Dystopian Future encountered Mantidae, would they have an easier time?

In the instance of characters you youmify, this is the same for any other side swap; it is up to the player how recognizable their character may be. To characters who were close to them, they may seem more recognizable, but to characters who only knew them in passing they may not recognize them at all. This is to be determined in plotting with the side-swapped character's player and should never be assumed that your character can recognize them without permission!

If a character willingly switches sides, they lose one half of their memories; is this also the case for forced corruptions? I've heard that a forced corruption causes major memory loss in both powered and civilian sides.

If a character willingly switches side they lose only one half; because forced corruptions are so traumatic they do lose memories on both sides. If sending in a corruption plot we will work with you, but a forcibly corrupted character will always lose more memories than someone who voluntarily switched sides.

Can we get an update, ruling, and addendum to the Negaverse info on where specific information is located, how often it is IC updated, and how it is usually accessed by the ranks? Specifically:

1- The Negaverse Rosters:
This keeps coming up in IC rp, where characters don't know who is in what branch anymore, or where the rosters are located to be memorizing them. The Roster Thread was last updated 8/11/2013, nearly two years ago OOC, making it no longer a resource. A player sourced roll call was made to help out with this problem from an OOC perspective of who is available for plotting.

This doesn't address the trouble of the location of the rosters to read and how often they are updated IC! This information isn't located in the main Nega Info thread, the Rift Info, or the Branch thread. As a military outfit, troop lists should, ideally, be frequently made and made available IC to all operatives. The general Info thread states "learning the ropes of your branch, and the basics of the Negaverse itself ", which could be taken to imply learning the names on the rosters accurately as part of that even as a Lieutenant. Can these details be added in somewhere? Even if the Roster thread OOC isn't updated any time soon, being able to say with certainty how often it happens IC would do a lot for players being able to say IC that they know their superior and subordinate officers as they should for reporting/missions/quota/etc.

2- There may have been an ask about this loooong ago, but can there be revision/adding/etc to the rank information about how they actually turn in their quota! Lieutenants cannot teleport, so ostensibly they cannot teleport themselves even to the dark kingdom to do turn ins of energy/starseeds. There's been mention of that being part of the old structure of lieutenants reporting to superior officers! Theoretically they turned in quota to them, or asked them for a ride? This information would help in set-posts for players, help in understanding rather than handwaving some of the function of the hierarchy, and aid in identifying what Lieutenants can do in regards to Negaverse space rp.

3- The Rift Q&A lists very helpfully about what is available in the regular Dark Kingdom space that used to be the Negaverse hub (and is mostly all anyone, lieutenants/cats/senshi, can access without escort from Captains and Generals), compared to the vast city-capital of the Rift.

Quote:
Negaspace is often described as dimly lit hallways or cavernous areas with crystals. At the very least it contains the throne room, barracks, computers to access the Negaverse database, an infirmary, the entrance to the Rift (through the Hall of Shadows), and some random caverns.

That said, that is currently the only part of Negaspace that has been explored in recent times. In the future we may open up or add more things to Negaspace. We are also open to pms to the mule if you have a suggestion for something you might like your character to find.

But this information isn't updated into any of the information threads, is again nearing 2 years old, and therefore isn't really well known or easily located for players who want or need to make use of the Dark Kingdom space for their roleplaying or plotting.

1) While the Roster thread was behind in being updated, there were only five posts that weren't up to date. Unfortunately, with staff changing hands a while back, the member who was taking care of that thread was not replaced; we have remedied this, so the Roster thread will be updated as long as players continue to post there. Unfortunately, if players do not post there or update where their characters are then we cannot keep it up to date! Sometimes things are missed, so quoting the mule is the best way to ensure that your character is added to the appropriate list! While things have not received much attention OOCly for some time, ICly it is assumed that when a character changes branches or joins one, the General overseeing them will add their information within 48 hours of the swap. If a General is swapping, then they may update the swap themselves with a General King or Queen's permission. These data bases can be found in various places in the Rift and can be accessed through specialized computers in Negaspace.

2) Lieutenants turn in the energy they've gathered to the officer overseeing them; said officer may either take them to Negaspace to turn in their energy and teach them how to do so or may elect to just take the energy and turn it in themselves. They are required to log how much energy they are submitting for the Lieutenant, though; they cannot claim their Lieutenant's work as their own! (Or, at least, they shouldn't be…)

3) We are aware of the issue with the Negaspace information thread; Negaverse information is unfortunately divided into a large number of threads, making it difficult and frustrating to have access to all information. We are actively working on compiling and updating all information threads to ensure that our players will have easy access to all relevant information and hope to have this up in the near future.

Do transformation items have to be pens? In the TV show/manga there were compacts (Sailor Moon/Chibimoon) and single-sided headphones (Sailor Starlights). Could something like that, or an earring or something be acceptable?

All Senshi have to have pens, sorry!

it's been established that covering a mauvian's star turns them into a regular cat. do they have memory of being in this state?

say sailor jackass covers guardian fluff's star. fluff becomes a regular cat, doing regular cat things. sailor jackass uncovers the star. fluff is back to normal mauvian form. would fluff remember being a regular cat enough to punch out sailor jackass for his namesake behavior?

Cats may have varying memories of this stage; they may either lose portions of their memory while in this state or have fuzzy memories; they would not clearly remember everything that transpired in this stage. The longer they had their star covered for, the harder it would be for them to remember what transpired while it was covered. A cat may remember chunks and pieces so it is absolutely possible that they would remember who covered their star or major things that happened while they were in such a state!
