 As Keon rowed his boat he couldn't help but remember all the weird occurrences. Since he got to the other side of the gate. It was even weirder that they had stopped. He actually felt more unsafe than before when they were happening. It reminded him of the calm before a storm.

Masaraku finally started having a bit of luck at getting them across the swamp, they actually had a pretty good lead on the others too, which filled her with confidence. However, she thought it best that the remaining portion of their leisurely boat ride be made in silence lest she say something inappropriate.
And the chances of that were very likely due to the young students amazing tact in conversation. Granted, her own was lacking, but this kid was tracking towards an a** kicking, and it would look bad on her if she were the one to deal it out, so for now she would stick to rowing and hope that it would be enough to get them there.

After a round of cursing and struggling, the young lad got his oar unstuck and went back to rowing. He was starting to catch up tothe rest of the group, which was a good thing. But it started to seem as though the closer he got to the shore, the stonger the ghostly presence became. This was not a good thing. It seemed like a battle would ensue once the crew got to the other side. Not exactly what he planned on ending a tour with. Quote:

Tenshi placed the oar in the swamp and immediately got it stuck in the mud. The swamp was beginning to be a real pain and he was wondering if they were going to be getting anywhere soon. He was sure that spinning around in circles wouldn't get them to their destination any time soon, but something was bothering him... He could feel their presence around them everywhere. The twins were waiting for them. Would they pounce as soon as everyone landed, or until we were inside the stadium? If they were intent on killing them all, surely they would have attacked them while they were in the canoes. With only one ranged fighter, everyone would be sitting ducks.

Batsu continued to paddle on. But for some odd reason, the boy ended up propelling forward at an abnormal rate. It was enough to scare Batsu a bit and he let out a yelp as he continued forward. Yet and still, the young medic continued to feel the presences of those pesky ghosts. It was getting under his skin a bit and he wanted to get rid of them... or leave. Quote:

Masaraku continued to row through the swamp. The gaseous air was beginning to effect her sensitive scent glands, but she just shook it off and dipped the paddle into the water, pushing them back further towards the shore. Batsu and Shinzu were pretty far behind. Their loss she supposed.

Masa looked around at the swamp as light began to pour into it once more. She told Tenshi a reassuring, "We're almost there." And followed it up with, "Just don't freak out. If you freak out its all over." She dipped the oar into the water again and brought them closer to shore. Soon enough she would get there.

As Batsu continued propelling forward from the last stroke he stood eerily still. Coincedentally, as did everything else. It felt as though the boy had stood still in time. It even felt like his propulsion forward had stopped as well. Of course this wasn't the case. However, it was one of the weirdest experiences that Batsu had in his lifetime. Quote:

As the kid was rowing his boat his oar once again got caught between a rock and the boat. This time he almost pushed so hard that he thought he might break it. However it was safe and he thought he'd take a rest. His back and arms were tired and he wanted to be at top shape when he punched his first Ghost in the face.

Shinzu was literaly one more mud stuck away from throwing away the oar and making Keon row the rest of the way. He was streaming many curse words in his mouth as the worked to remove his oar from the mud at the bottom of the creek.

As Keon rowed the boat he could feel himself slacking. He just couldn't pull his weight and Shinzu's as well. It just wasn't possible. He would try his best without saying a word too.

Tenshi placed the oar in the water and pushed the water back. He wasn't really even trying, and the oar didn't get stuck. Maybe they were past all the mud and reeds, and the rest would be smooth sailing... Yeah right! What am I thinking? It's a swamp for crying out loud... He was waiting for the girl to bite his head off or something. She was starting to creep him out herself even without the ghosts. It's gotta be the teeth... he thought as a shiver ran up his spine.

Batsu little time-space continuum skip ended and the boy found himself continuing on with putting the paddle to the water. The young man even felt as though he was getting stronger just by rowing, even if it wasn't the case. One thing was for sure though, he was almost at the end. Hopefully he'd find out what the deal was with these ghosts and s**t. Quote:

The boy was almost at the end of the swamp, which was good for him because he didn't know how much more he could continue to stare down at the disgusting water. The boy started scraping through the water as hard as he could so he could reach the bank of the murky pool. Oddly enough, the other-worldly presence became stronger and stronger with each stroke. By now Batsu had had enough and was hoping that he wasn't the only one that felt something else besides fellow comrades being in the midst. The boy pulled the paddle into his boat and turned to look at the rest of his crew with a peeved expression written all over his face.
